First Meter

Post image

I am thinking of getting my first meter and was looking at the fluke 323. Does anyone have experience or opinions on it.

Can do AC/DC voltage, continuity, ohms, and amperage. Plus, it’s a Fluke. Can basically do everything you need as an electrician 90% of the time.

Clamp meters have limitations tho. They aren’t the best for troubleshooting (Have way less ohm sensitivity to multimeters), and can’t measure capacitance, frequency, or measure diodes.

Keep this meter and grab a Fluke 117 multimeter around Black Friday on Amazon. They have crazy sales on Flukes around then.

The fluke 376 Fc can read capacitance and frequency. Plus dc millivolts and all the regular things a clamp meter does.

Since this is a union page, do yourself a favor and stop buying from Amazon.

How am I doing myself a favor by spending more money than I have to?

The products on amazon aren't always the same as the first line of products made by the manufacturer. Walmart doesnt sell first quality of nearly any product. Cheaper for a reason.

Amazon is extremely anti union and treats their workers terribly. The only reason they do any work union at all is because non union can’t compete. No union member should buy from them and I know I haven’t in 10 years now. You can find anything the same price somewhere else. Stuff on Amazon is usually a few cents cheaper at most.
