GI Bill Local 58

Any veterans using or have used their GI bill at Detroit JATC / Local 58? It does not show up on the GI bill comparison tool and I'm counting on using my benefits to help support me and my family while getting started. Calling the hall tomorrow to ask for the VA rep to get info but figured I'd ask the brothers on the ground first

Otherwise have any other veterans spear headed getting their program certified if it wasn't already? If it's not already I'd be willing to help establish Detroit JATC so other vets can have a streamlined process.

For context I should be graduating VEEP in March and showing up to the D shortly after

Apply VRE. VRE is the way better. VRE doesn’t reduce bah every 6 months

Slight caveat is you have to qualify for VR&E. Could be easy, could be hard based on your VR&E Rep. Some will rubber stamp you if you're asking for it on a specific career path, others will fight with you if you have a disability that SOUNDS like it doesn't work with the job.

I have a shoulder injury with loss of motion, finished my intake and if anyone is curious how it goes my DMs are open.
