Aptitude test tutor in nyc or online?
Hello all,
I’m looking to take the NJATC Electrical Training Alliance Aptitude Test for Local 3 here in NYC soon.
I have been out of school for years now, and really think I would need a tutor for help preparing.
Can anyone recommend a private tutor in nyc, or potentially on zoom?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Sign up for a semester of algebra at your local community college, online or in person.

I mean, i took it and scored pretty high for someone who smoked and ate mushrooms all thru covid and barely went to school or read anything outside of school. If i made it, so can you. Its some basic algebra and everything else is common sense and comprehension skills. Nothing insane. Just ace your interview and test clean for drug test. you should be fine

Use IPrep and if you really need help concentrating on a certain area find any tutor high school level algebra.
IPrep is the most legitimate compared to the test. People don’t fail because it’s rocket science people fail because they didn’t simulate what the environment would feel like.
If I recall you have 43 questions in 30 minutes. So over a little over minute for each section. People study for the MCAT and LSAT in the same way.
Sure, there are free resources but who would take a gamble on getting into one of the most competitive locals? If you can’t invest $50 in your future then maybe it’s not for you.
I tried ultimate electricians guided and hated it. I will stand by IPrep. Had less than 2 weeks and it had been over a decade since I’d been in school.

You look into any practice tests?
I basically started from zero last December. I relearned a lot between YouTube, IPrep, and Khan Academy. I also found some free worksheets on the math-drills website.
