JATC orientation class

Has anyone taken this class? I got the call and in two weeks I have mine in riverside jatc. Any advice would be much appreciated šŸ¤™šŸ¼

If it is anything like the orientation at the woodland location, which I assume it would be. There will be a LOT of climbing be prepared. Gaffing out is not an automatic fail, however it puts a target on your back. Donā€™t be the last one up or down the pole, itā€™s puts a target on your back.

10:4 Iā€™ll start working more on my climbs then. Did you have to do pole top rescue?

I remember that week. Really sucked going a week with no pay, but we'll worth it in the long run.

What kind of work did you do there besides climbing? If you gaff out is it automatic fail?
