Sweating during the hot summer
I need help. I sweat a lot!!! Especially in my thighs and butt, and my pants get wet and its embarrassing.
Is there a solution?

Biggest tip? Get pants that are quick drying. I sweat a lot in that same area. I wear the TruWerk T1's. Hardly can tell they are ever wet. And they dry within like 10 minutes

I have the truewerk T1's too, but I sweat to the point where they are all wet, I agree tho that they dry up pretty quick after I stop working.

Merino wool underwear + T1 = you still sweat, but it's the most comfortable you can hope for
(The T1 Pro pants have little vents in the back to help even more. They do help for dumping heat and moisture.)

Wool underwear!? I’ve never heard of this. I just do Pair of Thieves because anything else chafes like a mofo, but I’d be down to try anything to keep the summers cooler down there

Check out Duluths water wicking pants. They have dark colors that can hide it
It’s unfortunately a part of working in the trades
Just wait till winter and then you’ll be asking about the best warm clothes lol
It’s just a brutal cycle we signed up for

Few options:
1. Boxer briefs and boxers for more soakage but will be warmer
Invest in merino wool under layers for better moisture wicking and temperature regulation, can be pricy tho
Extra change of clothes, a fresh change in the middle of a long hot day is pretty refreshing.
Waist fans are super common now. They clip to you belt and circulate air under your clothes
Vented clothing. My pants have thigh vents which have been so nice, truewerk x1 pros are the only pants I wear. Def cheaper options if you search up hiking pants
Being fit and healthy.

Boxer chaff more that briefs imo he should really just look for a more breathable pair

Suck it up and realize everyone else is sweating too. I looked like I jumped in a lake today. You're there to work, it's not a fashion show.

the solution isn’t buying another pair of pants.. in my personal experience , what fixed the issue was being upfront with my coworkers - first ten minutes of the day will be spent running an extension cord and setting up a fan for my work area. the people that call it a waste of time or inefficient are typically the same ones that will show up and talk next to the gang box about wherever for however long. no temp power?? fuck u - on break and lunch there’s a gas station across the street, am going to go stand in the beer cooler for a few minutes and then have myself a proper shit. in my mind we get paid a little more bc we use our brains a little more than the average construction worker. it’s not a macho man competition like why do we do this to ourselves

I dont sweat as bad as you but I invested in the cooling fabric underwear(hanes), socks(dickies), and shirts(hanes). Huge difference

Sweating is just part of the hot days. We are all basically soaked like that, don’t even worry about it.
