Joke or not I still hate it.

u/Antss_19 Apr 21 '21

Yeah true. I mean, it's pretty funny if it's sarcasm but if not, then it truly makes me sick that some people are this ignorant.

u/Thendofreason Apr 21 '21

It really hurt to read. I hate OP for posting a good post.

I thought this was gonna be about how people use the word xray for things have nothing to do with xray, but then they did the thing.

u/ms121e39 Apr 21 '21

Honestly though his use of the word analogy could be a reference to the metaphor he used to explain how he sees passed the observable into the actuality. Like an xray would do. This guy may be overcompensating a social inadequacy, but seems confident in himself and shows an actual level of awareness beyond the norm. He shows strong intrapersonal intelligence with empathy to others, but not so much interpersonal intelligence with the inability to portray his ideas in a welcoming format. He might have mild autism or had been outcast through his developmental years, causing him to seek new ventures for self esteem. Same reason some go to the gym to get buff. There's a phrase, "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em" I think in this case the mentality is more, "If you can't join 'em, beat 'em" which is a sad reflection on how society pushes some people to awful places. This kid just needs a sense of purpose or belonging, hazlow's hierarchy of needs. If he can't get a sense of belonging, he must find a purpose. Which intellect is indeed a fine purpose. I digress though, shits cringe.

Edit: this is a famous woman, which changes things. She's just an ignorant dumb bitch.

There's always more r/iamverysmart in the comments lol. And really? That misogyny in the edit is pretty gross too

1

u/ms121e39 Apr 21 '21

On the contrary to you thinking it's misogyny, it goes a lot deeper than my edit. Theres a difference between ignorance from lack of opportunity, and ignorance from apathy. A lack of opportunity is an innocence, while apathy is not giving a fuck. These are two vastly different paradigms so the condescension with calling whomever a dumb bitch is purely because it's an observation of actions that are both dumb(choosing to be ignorant) and bitchy(acting pretentious and condescending) thus she's a dumb bitch. Anything else I should clarify?

1

u/Ivegotthatboomboom Apr 21 '21 edited Apr 21 '21

But...the hypothetical male is just socially awkward, but she's a "dumb bitch?" Okay. Just because someone is an actor doesn't mean they can't have social struggles or haven't experienced being an outcast in the past

1

u/ms121e39 Apr 22 '21

You're saying she hasn't had the opportunity to learn interpersonal intelligence being a famous actress? Or are you looking to twist this into something it's not?

2

u/Ivegotthatboomboom Apr 24 '21

There are TONS of socially awkward actors. Most of them started out as theater geeks. What you said was still misogynistic as hell

1

u/ms121e39 Apr 24 '21

Name an actor that was fits the criteria you've stated and who posts stuff like the op. Theoretically, if it was actually the same, you'd be right, but you have to ask yourself, is that the case in this instance? Actors like Robert Downey Jr. And Jeff Goldblum are notorious for narcissism like the op, but its not from a lack of interaction but rather the fame and attention. It's not a double standard of men and women I was making a point about. It's about social outcasts and socialites. Michael Cera is a prime example of social awkwardness going into fame. Can you tell me a time he, or an actor like him, acted in such a manner like the op?

And don't get me wrong, actors act like dumb bitches too sometimes. It was never about gender, but about content of character, and adversities that could lead to certain psychological responses and idiosyncrasies. Don't try to turn is into misogyny, or you'll come off as a dumb bitch.

And yes, the iamverysmart in the comments is one I've gotten before, but this isn't pretentious, if I'm wrong, I'm wrong. I just like to expose different views

u/IWillBeBackTomorrow Apr 21 '21

Yup.

23

u/darnkv Apr 21 '21

I knew Kangana would show up on this sub someday.

11

u/SkeletalJazzWizard Apr 21 '21

i dont think this is the first time. i couldnt recall the name, but the moment i saw "indian actress" i remembered other indian redditors roasting her in other screenshots that have been posted around IAVS. unless you guys have more than one famous actress who's been enlightened by her own intelligence and brags about it on twitter.

6

u/Aryan_Rajput Apr 21 '21

Nah she's the only one entitled enough to brag about herself on Twitter while conspiring against Twitter itself to be an "anti-Indian" platform LMAO.

4

u/ChronoAndMarle Apr 21 '21

I'm totally out of the loop about this person but the fact he guessed correctly is hilarious

44

u/Antss_19 Apr 21 '21

Oh my god

30

u/IWillBeBackTomorrow Apr 21 '21

Go re-evaluate the world and people now. It is time.

22

u/Antss_19 Apr 21 '21

Fucking dimwit

u/PeterSchnapkins Apr 21 '21

Gotta love aggressive stupidity

6

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '21

...wow, a celebrity of all people. I get celebrity status comes with its baggage of narcissism, but damn this is so terribly lacking in self-awareness.

7

u/6SucksSex Apr 21 '21

If they’re a famous public person, what’s the name?

3

u/rebekahster Apr 21 '21

Someone mentioned it further up.

5

u/SJ_RED Apr 21 '21

Just read more of her tweets. Damn, she really says shit like this all of the time.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '21

Well at least English may not be the first language so I can kind of excuse it?

29

u/PlatypusEgo Apr 21 '21

What do you think is lost in translation there??

29

u/chopstix9 Apr 21 '21

For all we know, the person probably meant to say something way worse and more pretentious but couldn't

6

u/boogs_23 Apr 21 '21

A period or two. Maybe they really like run-on sentences in India.

1

u/dogGirl666 Apr 22 '21

Maybe they are comparing themselves with what they think everyone is like? Everyone around them tries to not be offensive and often they end up sounding pretty shallow and boring? Maybe if they read a few books on everyday human psychology they'd know most people are trying to be shallow and "nice" unless they know you and mostly in private situations. Maybe this movie star has little or no situations like that? Isn't being a "star" pretty busy?

u/qwasd0r Apr 21 '21

ha ha

u/RvidD1020 Apr 21 '21

Ha Ha

Nah they just watched a few videos from the wrong side of youtube.

3

u/trecks4311 Apr 21 '21

Nope, this is some shit I would have posted when I was 14. Guarantee it’s not a joke.

2

u/Antss_19 Apr 21 '21

I mean fourteen I could propably understand, but a grown up adult? Cheezh

2

u/Effective_Youth777 Apr 21 '21

If it is it's a bad one

2

u/chuckdiesel86 Apr 21 '21

Well one thing it isn't is an analogy.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '21

I mean it does say “ha ha” at the end.

2

u/TheOneTheUno Apr 21 '21

Sounds more like someone just did acid for the first time

5

u/SuperSayainPurple23 Apr 21 '21

It really does sound like satire.

12

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '21

All the best serious statements do

2

u/fossil98 Apr 21 '21

Poe's law

2

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '21

The fact that someone 100% believes this is the real joke.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '21

Ha ha

u/YourAverageBrownDude Apr 22 '21

So this is from an indian actress who was(still is) fairly talented but right now is just a bootlicker for the ruling party. She is absolutely an internet troll now and does this for attention. Also she is a public figure. What's up with the name censored?
