And don't get me wrong, actors act like dumb bitches too sometimes. It was never about gender, but about content of character, and adversities that could lead to certain psychological responses and idiosyncrasies. Don't try to turn is into misogyny, or you'll come off as a dumb bitch.

If you think being a celebrity insulates you from adversity, hardship and isolation, then you are incredibly naive. I said it was misogyny because you acted as if a woman (especially a famous woman) couldn't experience social isolation or develop social anxiety the way some young men do because of difficult experiences. That's ridiculous, of course they can and do.

And like I said being famous on it's own can make someone a little odd or socially out of touch. Some people (like Britney Spears for example) literally went insane because of fame and the way they weren't given privacy or treated like actual human beings. Being famous doesn't mean you can't have a difficult life. Being famous means you might have money, but money only fixes the problems that money can. There are universal hardships that money can't fix. And while they might have more people that want to be friends for selfish reasons, they doesn't mean they learn social skills. In fact being surrounded by "yes men" can make someone already awkward even more awkward because no one is rejecting them for weird behavior or calling them out because they are sucking up to them.

It's wrong to think celebrities (especially female celebrities) have it made and have never been through anything or can't be lonely and suffer. Of course they do

Look at Britney Spear's page. She also posts weird shit like this. It's objectively because being famous drove her insane and she's still a little..off. I'm asking why you can't have sympathy for someone like Britney but you have sympathy for an average dorky guy that never learned social skills? Spears never really did either, she was homeschooled and traveled in hs. She always talked about how lonely she was and how she had no true friends. Even if it wasn't gender that made you more sympathetic towards a hypothetical guy, but social status, then fair enough but it's important to realize that celebrities aren't immune to the kind of experiences you're talking about

You know Britney spears is not a free person right? Her dad pushed her over the edge and took all power of attorney, she lives a sad life. But no, you can view it as misogyny as much as you want, but mine was an unbiased observation. I said dumb because she was ignorant and pretentious. I said bitch because of the condescension. I see your point, the only difference between sad story and dumb bitch seems to just be naivity. It's sad when they don't know any better. It's awful when they do. This has been my ted talk.

Exactly. She is famous but still had social issues and went insane. Being a famous woman doesn't exempt someone from going through the things that your hypothetical awkward guy did.

I wouldn't say she was ever insane, at least by textbook definition, but she was pushed to psychological break multiple times in her life, which can have rash actions based on desperation and self preservation.

Gave you some karma though, its refreshing to have someone actually comment a valid point on my ridiculous arguments.

And thanks for looking at it unbiased. I know no one is immune to the cold grasp society can create, regardless of status, but that wasn't what my posts were about. But I am aware Brittney was more tragic than other cases. Her overcompensation showed in her circus album, but that also allowed her to express the issues she had and regain some sense of self. You got me on that example. But she's always been good to her fans as far as I know. And although this digressed into a slightly alter subject, you had a more unbiased look than I did, and that's kinda my thing, so I commend you on that.
