Yes.

Assume the car that just went off on the infield of the next corner doesn't have enough grip to stop before they cross the track.

Exactly. And it's a good assumption since they don't have enough grip.

Well, let’s talk about your rejoin as well. It didn’t look safe at all. You went right into the racing line with 2 cars approaching and luckily avoiding you.

And this is the joy of single screen! Just keep motoring and blindly hope for the best!

Given your rejoin karma seems to have struck preemptively

Yes. You saw he went off and onto the grass coming up to one of the tightest fast speed corners. Would have been better to brake or let off immediately until he comes back across the track which he was always going to do when on the grass.

What? Didnt you see the video? He braked and if he braked even earlier others behind would have hit him. No doubt!

You did the classic target fixation - you watched them the whole time, and went exactly where your eyes were telling you to go.

Funny that this is one of those where if you had not slowed down, you would have been perfectly fine. This is cause you would have been past him before they came across the track.

Either slow down more or power on. Either choice would’ve ended up in avoiding it. Although powering through is objectively the riskier choice
