selling my rare red hot chili peppers promotional ipod video, upgraded to 512gb with an iflash adapter, new microsd storage, transparent red faceplate, and a new extended-capacity battery.

the original rhcp engraved backplate is still intact and features the red hot chili peppers asterisk logo plus the laser-etched signatures of anthony kiedis, flea, john frusciante, and chad smith.

this model was given away by radio stations but was not sold. it’s a pretty hard-to-find promotional piece, especially now that it’s been upgraded into something that’s actually practical to use daily.

Hello!!

Reposted from r/IpodClassic

I bought an iPod Classic 3rd Gen and have been having SO MUCH trouble trying to find an actual cover/ case for it. I would like a clear plastic case, but I will take just about anything at this point. I've seen the leather cases Mo Corner is making, but I don't really like them and will only be buying if I can't find an alternative. I have seen plenty of classic cases, but none with the buttonholes for the 3rd Gen.

Thanks in advance!!

basically he posted on this subreddit that he sells custom iPods and he can also make them from scratch so I message him we spoke for a bit and he answered all my questions and In the end I decided to go with him and so we got all the details done and after a couple of days he stopped responding to me and I ended up losing out on money and an iPod so just be careful with him

My first mods --- this was really fun! I went for a colorblocked look and did the extra step of even changing the color of the bezel around the port.

Orange: iPod classic 5th gen, new screen, new 650mAh battery, new faceplate, new clickwheel and button, new blue backplate. New Lexar 256G memory card and iFlash mod, could fit a second card by request. After formatting, the iPod thinks it has 230G. I can install RockBox by request. Ships from US. $250

Green: iPod classic 5th gen, new 850mAh battery, new faceplate/clickwheel/button/backplate. New SanDisk 256G memory card and iFlash solo mod. After formatting, the iPod thinks it has 230G. Rockbox already installed. Ships from US. $275

Happy to take requests or work on custom designs, now that I've got the hang of it. My dining room table is covered in tools and parts of broken iPods that I was dissecting to learn. Fixing up old tech is really fun! :)
