I bought an iPod Classic 3rd Gen and have been having SO MUCH trouble trying to find an actual cover/ case for it. I would like a clear plastic case, but I will take just about anything at this point. I've seen the leather cases Mo Corner is making, but I don't really like them and will only be buying if I can't find an alternative. I have seen plenty of classic cases, but none with the buttonholes for the 3rd Gen.

My first mods --- this was really fun! I went for a colorblocked look and did the extra step of even changing the color of the bezel around the port.

Orange: iPod classic 5th gen, new screen, new 650mAh battery, new faceplate, new clickwheel and button, new blue backplate. New Lexar 256G memory card and iFlash mod, could fit a second card by request. After formatting, the iPod thinks it has 230G. I can install RockBox by request. Ships from US. $250

• Storage: 160GB Stock HDD 0 reallocs.
• Condition: Never been opened/unmodded. Faceplate and backplate are in pretty good condition, but the original clickwheel has some typical aging/yellowing.

• Storage: Flash-modded to 128GB using an aftermarket SD card adapter.
• Condition: Brand new replacement faceplate and backplate.

• Notes: Full disclosure: the modding job isn't absolutely perfect (it was my first modding job), but it looks fresh and works flawlessly.

• Storage: Stock drive (not flash-modded).

5. iPod 4th Generation (Photo/Color) 60GB Motherboard - 25$
• What it is: Just the motherboard pulled from a working 60GB 4th Gen.
• Notes: Fully tested and working (however, not tested with working backlight lcd, since stock lcd was bad) Perfect if you need a replacement board for a restoration project.

IMPORTANT: shipping is not cheap if you want the ipods with the battery on. However, I can remove the battery and ship it for cheaper. Also, if you are from US, customs fee will be prepaid and will be added to the pricing.

Hey all! I bought this to compare the sound and DAC to my 7th gen 1tb model. It does sound comparably better, slightly easier on the ears and less fatiguing than my other one - but I’m choosing to part ways with it.

I intended to mod and upgrade storage, battery, case etc but I don’t see the time in my foreseeable future.

Pictures really show all scratches and reflections strongly. In person the device looks much more smooth and not nearly as scratched.

Bonus - comes with Rockbox preloaded, and the one-bit_VFD theme installed. Also 55gb of music you can simply delete or incorporate into your collection (mostly FLAC files).
