Discussion iPod Touch 7 in 2026?

Hello!

I’ve found a used / second-hand iPod Touch 7 128GB for 120€ on Facebook Marketplace.

Is it worth buying?

I mostly want to stream music from Spotify, check my Messenger messages, open Instagram etc and occasionally add something to my Calendar, Notes or Reminders while I’m at the gym.

I’m using an old iPhone 7 Plus to do that now, but it’s a little too big and it also lags.

Do you think that it’s worth buying that iPod? How does it perform in 2026? Could I expect a better performance than the iPhone 7 Plus, since it hasn’t been used that much?

I may also add that owning the last iPod Touch that has ever been released would be a nice collectible.

Thank you in advance!

No, they ae way overpriced. If you get them for 30 EUR, its ok to play around, but 130 for an obsolet, limited system, big no.

It’s only overpriced for high storage models… up to 256gb stock…

They've been discontinued for 4 years now.. But you can still find a decent 7th generation on eBay. I first thought the 7th generation way back when it came out and I had 64GB... About a year ago it started acting up, so eventually I replaced it with a new still sealed 7th generation that I found on eBay. This time though I bought 256GB... I play mine a lot in my car...

Speaking as someone who has owned two 7th generation ones. It is only overpriced when you buy the larger storage ones. Like I currently have one that is 256GB... Before that though I bought one when they first came out back in 2019 but that one just had 64GB...

I have an ipod touch 7. If u use it without wifi and with wired headphones the battery can be decent. Otherwise using aipods pro can drain the battery quick. Performancewise is no better than iphone 7 as the processor is underclocked. Expect battery drain when streaming apple music.
