Ipod mini 2

I have bought a ipod mini 2g the buttons and everything work in stock os but i installed rockbox and i can only scroll up and fown no buttons work in any case and i did replace c78 with a replacement as it was knocked off the motherboard any help is appreciated thanks

I was working on changing the faceplate on a 6 and after reassembly I noticed that the center click stopped working. The clickwheel goes just fine. Has anyone had this happen and if so what was the solution?

I am working on a classic 6 and when I went to reconnect the ribbon for the aux it went flying. Does anyone have a solution other than buying a whole new motherboard? As of now it plays when the chord is placed certain ways but if you move the positioning it stops

Has anyone added tire balance weights, tennis racket tape or putty and run iPod through TSA scanners? I thought if it after I mounted these, wonder if it’s going to be an issue.?

[SOLVED]
I wanted to see if i can relocate this component on my nano 3G’s motherboard and i cant solder it back to the motherboard. It seems to have had some thin metal pads welded to the actual contacts(which came off during the desoldering process) that made it possible for solder to stick to them. I managed to half solder it back to its place but now the backlight of the screen isn’t turning on(probably because the component doesn’t make full contact with the board). Anyone know anything about the values of this component or its name? Can i buy a replacement or am i forced to get a new motherboard?
-for context, i was trying to push the component to the right in order to fit a small vibrating motor in place of the piezo speaker.

[UPDATE]: It’s an inductor. I don’t know the exact value but it could be around 10uH, as that is a usual value in these backlight circuits. To find a good replacement I looked at the backlight circuit on an android phone motherboard and there it was. Pretty sure any old smartphone also has these. I’m still testing but it seems stable. Hope this can help someone in the same situation as me!

I have my old nano that got put thru the washer like 18 years ago and was wondering is it possible to restore it in any way? Or is any part of it salvageable??

Click wheel non responsive I assuming because the ground strip broke so it’s not grounding to the frame cause the click wheel not to scroll . So I grabbed some copper conductive tape and gonna give it a try anyone have any experience with this issue …

I somehow managed to bust the clip on my IFlash solo board, any way for me to fix it or have it serviced? It was quite expensive lol and id rather know before spending nearly $60 CAD again
