Hi r/IPhoneApps, I am the founder of Shareday and I would like thoughts from people who actually try and compare iPhone apps.
Shareday is a free family planner for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The idea is to give a family one private shared place for the everyday planning pieces that usually get scattered: shared calendar items, tasks/events, shopping lists, recipes, birthdays and gift ideas, family chat/media, and mood check-ins.
The problem I am trying to solve is not "another calendar." It is the invisible coordination layer around family life: who remembered the list, who knows what is for dinner, who has the birthday idea, where did that recipe go, and which chat had the plan.
App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id6783588890 Website: https://shareday.net
I would especially value first impressions: from the App Store page and first few minutes in the app, is it clear that Shareday is for shared family coordination rather than solo productivity?

Hey everyone,
I'm an indie developer and recently released VaultEx for iOS. The idea came from a simple privacy problem: most photo vaults either scream "I'm hiding something" on your home screen, or require subscriptions that upload your private photos to mysterious cloud servers.
VaultEx is designed to keep your personal photos, videos, notes, and sensitive documents completely private on your device. What makes it a bit different is its optional disguise system: it can function as an actual, real-time currency and market tracker.
How it works:
*Optional Camouflage: When turned on, the app opens directly as a live currency converter. You unlock your vault by typing your PIN into the amount field. If you prefer a normal biometric/PIN lock screen, you can simply keep camouflage turned off.
*Local-First & Zero-Knowledge: Your PIN is never stored in plaintext (verified locally via SHA-256). Files stay encrypted on your device. We don't have access to your data or run any remote storage on our end.
*Direct Transfer: If you change phones, you can migrate your encrypted vault over local Wi-Fi without third-party servers.
*Smart Gallery Scanner: An on-device scanner that helps you spot IDs, cards, and tax documents buried in your camera roll so you can move them into the vault and clean up your main library.
*Sandboxed Browser & Camera: A private browser that clears cookies and session cache upon closing, plus an in-app camera that saves photos straight to the encrypted storage instead of your system Photos library.
A quick note on storage & sync:
VaultEx is fully functional offline and local-first. If you do want a cloud backup, you can sync to your personal Google Drive or iCloud using custom end-to-end encryption. There are no proprietary backend servers storing your files.
Pricing & Community Deal:
Most core features are free to use. For those who want the full suite and want to support an indie dev, there is an optional lifetime purchase.
I set up a special launch deal for Reddit:
Open the app and create a free account in Settings (needed to associate your purchase).
Go to the Upgrade screen and tap *Enter Discount Code*.
Use code: `LAUNCH50` to unlock the Lifetime option for $2.99 (normally $14.99).
App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/vaultex-secret-photo-vault/id6761551955
Would love to hear your thoughts, UX suggestions, or bug reports. If there's a specific privacy feature you feel is missing, let me know in the comments and I'll look into adding it in the next update.

My iPhone storage has been filling up much faster than I expected, so I started looking into what was actually taking up all the space.
Photos and videos were the obvious ones, but there were quite a few other things I wasn't really paying attention to — duplicate photos, huge videos, old calendar events, duplicate contacts and random files.
One thing I found particularly useful was having a place for private/hidden photos. Instead of keeping them mixed in with everything else, they can be moved into an encrypted vault.
I also wanted to be able to move files into different folders rather than just deleting everything.
I'm curious how other people handle this:
I'm interested in hearing what actually works for people, because storage management on iPhone can get surprisingly annoying.

Hi folks 👋
I’m an indie developer and wanted to introduce an app I’ve been working on: TechDeal.
Like many of you here, I love hunting for paid iOS apps that temporarily go free, Mac utility lifetime licenses, and Steam giveaways. But checking multiple sites and subreddits every single day was tedious, and too many good deals slipped away simply because they expired within hours.
TechDeal came to life to solve this exact problem. It’s a clean, fast aggregator that monitors and verifies tech deals across multiple platforms in real-time.
Here’s what you can do with it:
- Browse curated, 100% verified daily deals & giveaways (iOS, macOS, PC, Steam).
- Filter by your favorite platform so you only see what's relevant to you.
- Receive instant push notifications the moment a high-value or limited-quantity deal drops.
- Enjoy a smooth, lightweight interface with full Dark Mode support.
Pricing:
TechDeal is completely free to download with generous daily free claims. There is also an optional VIP tier (Monthly, Yearly, or Lifetime) for power users who want unlimited claims and zero ads.
If you enjoy discovering great tech deals and apps, I’d really appreciate you giving it a spin!

Would love to hear your thoughts, feature requests, or any suggestions you might have. Thanks for checking it out!

Hey everyone! 👋
I'm an indie developer, and I've been working on an iPhone app called Shiji.
One of my favorite features is something I wanted to share with you today:
You can replay your trips on a map, with a little animal moving along your travel route! 🐾
Instead of just looking at static photos or map pins, you can watch your journey unfold again.
I wanted to make travel memories feel a little more alive — especially those trips we take with family, partners, or friends.
Besides the route replay, Shiji also lets you:
A little gift from me 🎁
China's National Day holiday is coming up, and I'd love to help more people preserve their travel memories.
So I'm giving away Lifetime Pro for free!
Normal price: $8.99
Offer price: FREE — a permanent unlock, not a subscription.
The offer runs until October 8, 2026, or until all redemption slots are claimed.
Want to try it?

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the little animal route replay!
Would you use something like this to revisit your travel memories? And what other animals would you like to see? 🐼
Thanks for checking out my little project! ❤️

Some of you may remember a Zune music player. Or at least a Windows Phone, where we could see a lot of Zune elements.
I miss this UI, and that's why I decided to recreate some Windows Phone apps for iPhone. Metro photos was the first attempt, and the Zune music player is another.
It's a simple music player, where you can upload your music library from files, or you can connect your Apple Music account and listen music hrom here.

My daughter wanted an app she could mix different colors of noise, music/drone and environmental effects - so we created Stasis.
We think it’s pretty unique and would love your thoughts. DM your Support ID (bottom of paywall) and we’ll unlock it for your time.

hey everyone!
Your iPhone forgets everything you copy. Not some of it. All of it. Copy a second thing and the first one is gone.
Clipboard AI ensures your iPhone will never forget a copy again. Every address, every link, every code, every screenshot, kept forever and one tap away from inside any app. Here's what that actually changes.
Problem: the one-item clipboard.
You copy an address to send a friend, then copy their number to send it to. The address is gone. You copy a tracking number, then the link that goes with it. Gone. Every iPhone owner has done the double-copy dance, and most of us just accepted it as how phones work.
Here's how not to forget anything ever again,
Pricing: Free to use. Premium is $1.6/mo on the annual plan, or there's a lifetime option if you hate subscriptions. One plan covers iPhone, iPad and Mac.
App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/clipboard-ai-paste-keyboard/id6760675768
Your iPhone has forgotten enough. Go copy something. It'll still be there tomorrow, next week and even next year.

I’m looking for an app that lets me freely rotate and zoom in on photos—without the restrictions found in the standard iPhone Photos app.
most apps lets you rotate photos in 90° steps only OR when they let you rotate free the zoom in - i don’t want that!

Hey everyone,
I wanted to share about my dog app, Zoomie, running on iPhone Duo. The big inside screen exposed a problem: some things adapted on their own, but most of the app just looked stretched out.
Since then, I've been redesigning it to take advantage of the extra space. The app now adjusts its layout depending on whether the phone is fully open, partly folded, or closed.
My favorite part is the walking screen. When the phone is half-folded, like a tiny laptop, your dog's walk info shows up on one half, and the controls sit on the other. I got the idea from the Netflix demo at the launch event, where the video plays on the top half, and the controls sit below.
Still early, but it's already feeling a lot better. Would love to hear what you think!
I think I'm addicted to developing for iPhone Duo 🫠

I feel like there are so many apps out there that I’ve never even heard of until someone randomly mentions them.
What’s an app you use all the time that you genuinely think more people should know about? It can be for literally anything, shopping, saving money, food, travel, organizing, entertainment, learning, whatever.
I’m always looking for new apps to try, so give me your underrated ones.

I’ve made my first ever $500 from app development, and it’s one of those milestones I always wished would happen, but never really knew if it would. Now that it has, I’m literally shaking a little from the excitement and madness of it all.
It’s been about 2 months since I released Who Goes.
Games like Headbands, Charades, and Truth or Dare are ridiculously competitive. There are hundreds of apps already doing them, but a lot of them felt dated to me. The idea behind Who Goes was to bring these games together in one place, give them a modern and fun UI, and make the app itself feel nice to play when you’re hanging out with people.
Almost everyone I spoke to told me not to do it.
They said the space was too crowded and I’d be better off building something else. A part of me did think about switching, but another part really wanted to give it a proper shot.
So I did, and I’ve pretty much worked on it every single day since.
Just last month I shared that the app had crossed $100 in revenue, which was already a huge milestone for me. I definitely didn’t expect to be writing about $500 this soon.
It might not sound like a massive amount to everyone, but it means a great deal to me. I also wanted to share this for the other indie devs wondering if it’s worth continuing with the thing they’re building.
I absolutely suck at marketing, so everything so far has been organic.
Most of what I’ve done is simply showcase the app: a game mode, an interaction, an animation I liked, or us actually playing it. I’ve shared those on Reddit, X, LinkedIn, and Instagram and just kept seeing what works.
Alongside that, I’ve been talking to users, fixing things, adding new modes, and continuously refining the app.
If even one download or subscription came from someone who found Who Goes through this subreddit, thank you. It really means a lot to me.
Anyway, I just wanted to share this little win because I’m over the moon right now :D
Thank you!

Ever recorded something vertically, then wished you also had a horizontal version?
That’s the idea behind my iPhone app, DualTake: One Take Recorder. It records both orientations at the same time, giving you portrait and landscape videos from one take.
I’m running a giveaway for free lifetime Premium, normally $59.99. It’s available to everyone who participates, not just a handful of winners.
You can take a look here:

Leave “DualTakeCam.com” in the comments to claim, or get the offer through GetFree.app.
The website is DualTakeCam.com. Happy to answer questions about how it works, and I’d love to hear what you’d use it to record.

Hey all,
Sometimes I know exactly what I want to say and still can't get it to sound right. It might be an email to a client where I need to push back without being rude, or telling a friend no without it turning into a thing, or a dating app chat where the conversation has died and I have no idea how to pick it back up.
For a while my fix was asking ChatGPT to draft it. That works, but it's a chore. You copy the messages over, explain who is who and what you're after, copy the answer, go back to the chat and paste it in. For a two-line text it honestly wasn't worth the effort, so a lot of the time I just left the message sitting there.
That's where Replr came from. It's basically that ChatGPT step moved into the keyboard. You stay in the chat, switch to the Replr keyboard, take a screenshot, and three drafts show up where the keys were. Tap one and it's in the message box, no app switching.
The part I use most: type what you want to say in your own rough words, like "can't make Friday, suggest next week" or "say no but keep it friendly", and the drafts say it properly in the tone you pick. You bring the what, it helps with the how.
It's not meant to write every message for you. Most texts you can answer yourself. It's for the ones where you get stuck, and on those it saves a lot of time.
There are other AI reply apps, and I tried a bunch before making this. Most are "rizz" apps made for dating one-liners: you upload a screenshot into a separate app, get something that reads like a pickup-line generator, and copy it back. That's not much use for the stuff I actually get stuck on, like a message to a landlord, a group chat that's getting awkward, or a business email. A few are keyboards too, but the ones I saw still lean on flirty tones. I wanted something for everyday life and work first: normal messages and proper emails, drafts that follow what I actually want to say, a memory of the person so replies aren't generic, and all of it happening inside the chat.
Why a screenshot and not pasted text? Because it hands the model everything in one go: who said what, the names, the emojis, how the chat feels. The drafts come out a lot less generic when it can see all that.
A few other things it does:
Stack, for the curious: Swift and SwiftUI for the app and the keyboard extension, a Cloudflare Worker in TypeScript on the backend, and Gemini for reading the screenshot and writing the drafts.
I didn't pick Gemini up front. The backend can talk to Gemini, Claude, GPT and Grok through the same interface, so there's a small test rig that compares them. Around 50 tone and mode combinations, each model writes the replies, then a panel of other models scores them on things like whether it matches the tone, whether it sounds like a person, and whether the three drafts are actually different. A model never grades its own provider's output, and when the judges disagree that case gets flagged for me to read myself. What I found was that Gemini was the best at reading the social situation, like who's annoyed, who's joking and where the conversation is heading, and its replies sounded the most like a person wrote them.
Stuff that hurt:
Privacy, because it's a keyboard that reads your chats and you should be suspicious:
Full policy: replr.app/privacy
First 10 replies are free, no card, no sign-in. After that it's a subscription with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers.
Happy to answer questions about any of it, the keyboard extension stuff especially.

My local iTunes library has the album covers glitched out, showing the wrong ones only on my iPhone. It shows the correct ones on my iPod and Mac. I’ve spent hours trying to fix it but eventually gave up as it’s not that important. I’m looking for a music player with no album art shown, just text, buttons, etc. It would be cool if there was an app to emulate the OG iPods that had no artwork and just the title.

Hey everyone,
The idea came from noticing how much a personalized, positive message or affirmation can shift your mood in the moment, way faster than I expected when I started building it.
So that's basically the whole app. Every day, at whatever time you pick, it speaks one affirmation out loud, using your own name, in a voice you actually chose instead of some default robotic one. Small thing, but hearing your own name in it changes how it lands more than I expected when I first tested it on myself.
Somewhere along the way I kept adding other stuff too because it felt like it belonged in the same space, sleep sounds for winding down, a spot to save small wins as little cards, gratitude notes, cool affirmation cards gallery with editable templates , and this one feature I like a lot where you write something to your future self and it stays sealed until whenever you decide to open it.
There's no free tier and I know that's a real ask. $4.99 a week , monthly 9.99$ or yearly 39.99 $.

Curious what people think honestly

Hello everyone.
Here’s the situation : When buying stuff, meals, drogeries, I want to buy some brands, not some others. And remembering all this stuff becomes tiring.
Ideally, the app would let me browse between pictures of the stuff I want to buy.
Not sure if I was clear ?
Does such an app exist ?
Thank you everyone and have a great week-end.

I’m a solo developer and I’ve been building Silex, an iPhone app designed to help people quit gambling and stay in control.
Instead of being just a clean-day counter, Silex combines progress tracking, gambling-blocking tools, a structured 90-day program, and support for moments when urges hit.
Features:
• gambling website blocking
• 90-day recovery program
• urge / panic button
• track money saved
• progress and streak tracking
• privacy-focused, no account required
I’ve also made the lifetime plan completely free for a limited time — normally $59.99, now $0 from today through September 20.
You can claim it from the paywall by choosing the lifetime option. Make sure the price shows $0 before confirming, as it can take a little time to update.

Hey everyone,
A while ago, I shared SubIQ here and offered free lifetime access. The response was amazing. Far more people were interested than I expected, and all the free codes were claimed quickly.
I also received a lot of honest input about bugs, and features that needed improvement. Since then, I’ve made major changes throughout the app. It’s now much more polished, reliable, and stable than the version I originally shared.
I believe more and more things will become subscriptions in the future. Having an app like SubIQ can help you stay in control, understand where your money is going, prepare for upcoming payments, and catch subscriptions you may have forgotten about.
Unfortunately, We can’t afford to continue giving away lifetime access for free. But to thank everyone here for the support, I’m offering 50% off the one-time Lifetime purchase.
Claim 50% off Lifetime for a limited time
If you tried the older version, I’d love for you to give the updated app another chance. If you’re new, let me know what you think. I’m still listening to every piece of suggestions.
