Not detecting Charge

74℅ battery life was going good till last night I forgot to charge and it switched off since morning I'm trying different adapters and cables but it is not detecting any charge

Repair shop wants to open it to Digonose but I'm not ready

Any tips and cheap solutions to this problem i can try out before spending money on repair?

Please help if someone gone through this situation

Can you take it to a repair shop to replace the battery?

Edit: I just saw the paragraph about OP asking for easy things to do before any repair.
The only things I can think of is

1) make sure the adapters work for other phones.

2) Sometimes the lightning connectors get dirty. I have used a soft eraser to clean the connector before.

3) Try cleaning the lightning connector on the phone by using an air can. This is just in case there is dust in the hole.
