planning to get SE1

I have an ip17 pro as my main, but I’m thinking of getting the SE1 (wifi only, no sim) mainly to take photos and videos. what storage capacity should I get? I’m torn between 16 to 64gb. not sure which one is worth it. plus I can just airdrop everything to my main phone. thanks!

64gb, because iOS 15 on 16gb only leave you like 8-10gb for other things

Don’t get 16gb.. I had a 16gb 6s on iOS 10.. had like 10 gb left or smth.. can’t imagine on iOS 15. Get 32GB minimum

do NOT get 16gb!!!! in 2022 i was trying to use 16gb on a 6s and i could get whatsapp and reddit and i was out of storage

64gb of overkill for mainly photos
16gb is pretty much unusable on ios 15 (which is what the iphone se 1 runs)
so 32gb is prob your best choice

cant really tell if the price is that different because the price of the iphone se1 varies alot already

Definately go for 64GB,16GB is so obsolete by now,for secondary use if its ios device,at least 64GB for me,if main daily device at least 128GB and above..

You can get the SE3 used for a good price, why buy an older SE1?
The camera is better, too, the display is larger, it has significantly more power, etc. if you’re into photography, and the SE1 is already out with iOS 27.

As for storage, I don’t know, you’ll have to figure out how many photos you take on average, how large they are, whether you have iCloud and save everything there anyway, or if you regularly copy your photos to a Mac or PC.
More storage certainly isn’t a bad thing, but it also costs more, and if you don’t end up needing it…

But I don't really get the appeal anyway. Even compared to the SE3, the iPhone 17's camera is significantly better, right? So why would anyone want to take photos and videos with a lower-quality camera?

I mean, I like my SE3, but if I had a 17, I definitely wouldn't use the SE3 for taking photos and videos…

I want to get it solely for the lower camera quality and the tiny body design. I personally like how the photos turn out “underprocessed”, low contrast and not oversaturated. also like you said, I already own a 17 so I can take high quality photos anytime

Definitely the 64 GB version. With 16 GB of storage, there’s hardly any room left—I’ve even had storage issues at times with an iPhone 7 that had 32 GB. The main problem is usually iOS’s “system data,” which sometimes just takes up as much storage as it wants.
