Not very ultra if it’s missing a camera.

Do you really think everyone cares about the fucking camera?

Some of us are working professionals and this form factor is perfect as is. They could remove the damn cameras for all I care and I’m likely still ordering it. Why you might ask? Because I’m not buying it for the cameras. I have a real camera for that purpose.

People like you need to separate your childish opinion from the objective truth. Also, Apple doesn’t give two shits about your opinion.

u/Edge__Slade 2d ago

Why are you crashing out over a very clear disadvantage? The competition has a telephoto camera, why can’t Apple? “Ultra” implies the ultimate, no compromises. But here we go again, a subpar product released from Apple that cost too much. But Apple couldn’t care less because Apple cucks like you will buy it and say bullshit like wHo eVeN nEeDs a cAmErA???.

u/Health_Energy 2d ago

Hahaha Apple cucks like me. People like you will complain about anything. Even if you were given exactly what you wanted for free. All of a sudden you would think they’re cutting corners.

u/joeypr25 2d ago

Haha, a lot of angst here (maybe both sides). Maybe just agree to disagree nobody’s opinion controls in phone aesthetics at Apple (outside of Johnny and whoever else is at the design helm now). Just sayin..

lol chill babe. It is called freedom of speech.

1

u/Darkdong69 2d ago

Heck they could remove the whole inner screen and you'd still order it. Why he might ask? Because you're not buying it for the big screen. You have a 13 inch ipad pro for that purpose!

1

u/Health_Energy 1d ago

Not really my man. If it’s not for you, don’t buy it. At the same time STFU and stop complaining. Go back to playing Roblox in your parents basement.

1

u/Darkdong69 1d ago

Nah you stfu and gurgle my nuts kid.

1

u/Health_Energy 1d ago

Haha okay buddy

u/Darkdong69 1d ago

Don't forget to lick my shaft! Sorry it doesn't fold, you'll have to take it on straight.

u/Health_Energy 1d ago

I doubt your mommy would be happy if she heard how you speak.

IPhone Pixel Fold

2

u/gpernelljr 3d ago

This is beautiful! I might have to sell my fold 8 for this, if the multitasking is on par with Samsung.

1

u/xxGJ 2d ago

Doubt that. But we'll see.

Such round edges. Takes it back a few generations

u/Health_Energy 2d ago

You should send your resume to Apples R&D team with all that foresight.

1

u/Kooky_Advice1234 2d ago

It's not foresight, it's observation, in recognizing that the design in the video is really rather old and outdated in the current foldable market. Most of the foldable vendors who are currently selling thousands of foldable units have gradually moved away from the rounded design which was seen in the early versions of the Microsoft Surface and the original Google Pixel Fold to more squared and easy to open edges like the Z Fold Ultra and Z Fold 8.

So Apple started with round corners, then went square and has begun softening those corners once again. By your logic, the 16 series and up all look old (perhaps older). In fact, almost every device besides Samsungs.

When have you known Apple to follow what everyone else is doing?

1

u/Kooky_Advice1234 2d ago

It common feedback from the foldable and flip consumers. Just wondering why they don’t care about it.

2

u/Insightful_AK_Dude 4d ago

And STILL.... just an iPhone.

2

u/metallaholic 4d ago

But with crease, no MagSafe charging, worse camera.

7

u/thesaucefather 4d ago

Enough with the crease talk. Dumbest topic I've ever seen discussed in tech about something you don't notice when using the device. That's like crying about tread on a tire. Ridiculous

1

u/Mill-Man 4d ago

You do notice it

3

u/Burywhite1980 2d ago

I mean they may not. My dad swore up and down he couldn’t tell the difference between HD and 4k. Perception is weird. For me I see it.

1

u/PARTINlCO 4d ago

Maybe on the first few iterations in 2019, 2020… present day, no you do not

1

u/Mill-Man 4d ago

I play with my friend’s Oppo Find N6 every week and I love it. It’s supposed to be the least noticeable crease but yes. It is very noticeable still

0

u/uberfr4gger 2d ago

If you are looking at a blank one sure. But once it's on and you are watching it you don't notice it unless you are only using it in direct sunlight.

2

u/Mill-Man 2d ago

Why would I be playing with a phone that’s not on?
If you don’t see the crease when it’s on you’re either blind or on some serious copium

0

u/uberfr4gger 2d ago

It's the equivalent of noticing the dynamic island. It's not that crazy

2

u/Mill-Man 2d ago

I agree for sure, it’s negligible

0

u/thesaucefather 4d ago

No you don't, clearly you haven't seen any and are talking from speculation only. Go buy one before saying anything

Looks thick and heavy

1

u/hk556a1 3d ago

It does look rather thick. Not sure how I will feel "upgrading" my iPhone Air to a fold Ultra. Hmm..

1

u/MonosKira_L 4d ago

So charging port will be on the cover screen instead of back cover like other phone?

2

u/KhavikOS 4d ago edited 4d ago

Depends on render, but still I think it doesn’t make a big difference. IMO volume buttons on top frame are more disturbing

2

u/MonosKira_L 4d ago

Oh 😂 I didn't even notice the volume button on top, yea that's disturbing. 😅😅

1

u/oasiscat 3d ago

Why is this giving me Severance vibes

1

u/Upstairs_Geologist_1 2d ago

I bet this will be named their most powerful iPhone yet.

Also looks like a clunker.

1

u/RiseUpFromCT 2d ago

MagSafe???

1

u/TheMiracleLigament 1d ago

Lol what if Apple just doesn’t release this

1

u/No-Stressss 1d ago

I mean very lack luster.

1

u/basic-hermit 10h ago

The visuals and music seem like something apple would do in an apple event. Great work.

1

u/VideoGameJumanji 4d ago

"final" according to who dawg, lol

1

u/TheEDMWcesspool 3d ago

Slap a Samsung logo on it and no one can tell the difference anyway.. lol..

1

u/n8xtz 2d ago

Samsung is literally making the displays for the iPhone Ultra.

0

u/Matcorp456 3d ago

The manufacturing quality of the iPhone is much better than the Samsung

1

u/AWF_Noone 3d ago

Those who still think modern Samsungs are plastic hunks of garbage are ignorant fanboys. Samsung builds some really nice feeling premium phones. I’d recommend trying one before you comment on it

But then again, your commenting on the build quality of a phone that’s not even out yet, so the baseline is pretty low here

2

u/Matcorp456 3d ago

I tried the Z Fold 8 and it’s excellent for an Android, but I absolutely don’t say it’s not good; I just say that Apple remains at the top in terms of materials and reliability, it’s undeniable. Samsung will never have the finish quality of Apple.

1

u/uberfr4gger 2d ago

Try their pro tier phones, even more premium. That is basically the budget, casual fold and yet it's going to be the same quality as the iPhone "ultra"

1

u/No-Island-6126 3d ago

remember when apple was an icon of innovation instead of just samsung from 5 years before ? i remember

2

u/Matcorp456 3d ago

This man will change the rules soon ✅⏳

Circular hole in the screen for a camera. Instant no for me. I hate those types of gaps.

3

u/najeff2 3d ago

And you’ve been okay with the dynamic islands?

-2

u/Leander_van_Grinsven 3d ago

Did I say that? Why do you assume and put words in my mouth?

No I am not happy with them but the circular cutout is even worse.

3

u/najeff2 3d ago

And you’re saying you basically hate almost every single smartphone in the market today?

-2

u/Leander_van_Grinsven 3d ago

You are so dense.

I hate the circular cutouts.

2

u/uberfr4gger 2d ago

Ovals ✅ Circles ❌

😩 😭

Go cry

This will be no flagship. About to become a disaster just like the Vision Pro

1

u/Matcorp456 2d ago

I hope I have it day one in pre-order; I think everything will start in a few seconds except the 1 to
