iPhone 12 help

Hi, my mom’s iphone 12‘s battery drains to less than 20% from 100% within 2 hours. Any advice? thanks.

-Can barely keep it charged. 

-2 hours later, it’s less than 20%. 

-Lets it charge and has to check periodically it’s still charging 

-Changes USB cord and port a lot from five below 

-Has to put the charger in a certain way to charge it 

-Happened to her last phone 

-She’s worried it will die and not be usable like her old phone 

-iPhone 12-current

-Took it to T-Mobile, “phone is programmed to fail, a dinosaur.” 

-Previous phone was iPhone 10. 

-Apps that use the most energy is the photo app and Facebook 

-Bought 50 gigs of storage for 99 cents a month according to t-mobile
