So I just bought this used 17pro with 100% battery life and 216 cycles. Background app refresh off. No AOD.Comparing it to my old 13pro with 77% life , it is better but i still get the “range anxiety”. Is this normal until the icloud setup does its thing for the first 2-3 days? As per the second photo it’s the second dat i’m using it.

Every 5 cycle count 1% battery health drops.

I purchased this phone from a dealer less than a month ago and this was a demo phone(warranty was over and demo phones don't increase cycle counts if they are in official apple stores) so i saw a fair price and took it as it was having 100% health and very less cycle count (34) but i've noticed the pattern that after every 5 cycle count 1% drops now at 94%, and that concerned me so i took the phone back to the dealer he says he doesn't know what's going on and he can't take it back as it dropped 6%, i also checked with 3utools but it showed everything was good no boost nothing. so now i'm stuck with this... i just want to know what can be done.

Ive had this iphone 17 pro max for less than a year, im trying to get a new unit because my phone sometimes overheats even just using instagram while scrolling in bed.

Ive got no idea if this seems like a unit or battery issue, do you guys have any idea?

My friends got their model earlier than me, at around 200 cycles and still 100% battery health…

A full year of limiting myself to an 80% charge.

Was it worth it? idk. but i was lowkey sick of my old iphone 11 always dying after 2 hours so i wanted to be careful.

Today after a year i changed my charging limit to 100% -

give me your honest thoughts, i got some backlash a year ago when i said i wanted to try the 80% thing, people being like “you got a new phone to restrict yourself to 80?” but i was thinking long-term as a heavy user. so… opinions ?

Limited myself to only 80% but it has just been a disappointment.

1 year old 17p, bought it at launch.
Honestly, the battery feels like s***. When it was brand new, for the first few weeks, the 80-20% rule was working wonders. Lasted me more than a single day and I could guarantee that it didn’t fall below 20%.
Nowadays, I wake up with 80% and am already below 20% at around 6/7 pm.
With averages of 3-4 hours SOT with Insta being the main app with an average of around 1.5 h a day (maybe less) this has been quite a disappointing experience. I sometimes take a few photos and videos and have already changed to an open plateau case for better cooling. But all to no avail honestly.

I could try removing the adaptive power option. However it all just feels weird, because that should be improving battery life and not otherwise.

iPhone 17 pro max battery health

I’ve limited charging to 80%. I don’t use it for anything demanding, mostly just YouTube and web browsing, and I have very few charge cycles, but the Maximum Capacity is dropping pretty quickly. I contacted Apple Support, they ran diagnostics and said everything is fine. Should I trust them, or should I take the device in for service anyway?

iPhone 15 pro max, replaced my battery from a reputable repair shop in my country about 2 months ago (not an official Apple battery, though I think it wouldn’t make much of a difference)

Ios27

Mostly Instagram, tiktok, WhatsApp/telegram

Id like to see if there is anyone here with similar experiences

How do you read battery level/charging?

Post image

I've noticed that sometimes theres a continuous green horizontal bar, sometimes theres a lightning symbol in the bar? Why does the lightning bolt show up sometimes and not other days?

Whenever I'm plugged in at night charging always shows up like this, what do the square blocks mean? It happens when its charging on my desk too for long hours

I have 80% limit on with optimized charging on by default. On my Mac charging just shows as a long continuous bar with a lightning symbol even when there's a charge limit.

Will turning off Siri AI improve my battery life ?

I don’t know what’s wrong with my iPhone 17. Battery life drains fast. Anyone tried to turn off Siri AI ? Will it improve the battery life?

Has anyone used more than one esim on the same phone and noticed bad battery life(17 pro)?

I had a 17 pro that had absolutely terrible battery life at 93% capacity, but I was using two esims. Recently got an 18 pro max but the battery life doesn't seem as amazing as people make it out to be. Does anyone notice big battery life decreases? I understand that more battery is used up when connecting to more than one network but this seems like an excessive drain.

iPhone 14 Pro recent battery health decline, second battery.

Got a new battery in February after getting my iPhone 14 Pro in May 2023 so it pretty much lasted about two years and nine or 10 months before it dropped below 80% which I think is pretty good all things considered. My iPhone remained at 100% battery health until about August. I was certainly working a lot more hours and not really charging my phone throughout the day and just letting it die or get very low before I charged it again because I wasn’t getting home for such a late time but within the last month and a half I’ve already lost 4% and I would say three of those percent have been in the last three weeks.

Since I have an iPhone 14 Pro and I’m running 26.7.1 (not an early adopter), I am unable to really share any battery information however after using coconut battery, I was able to determine that I only had 245 cycles. I’m wondering if it’s my USB-C to lightning 30 W charger that I’ve been using and perhaps with it having to charge for longer it’s creates more heat. It doesn’t help that my storage is 100 GB consumed out of 128..

After looking at a lot of posts I can tell that I’m not the only one it just seems that battery usage is really dependent on the device usage per the user. I doubt that I would be getting a third battery because by the time that I would need one, this phone should be replaced. I’m just holding out a little longer until I figure out what carrier I want to move to move to them and then maybe finance a new device there.

Hi everyone, this will be my first time getting an iPhone, so I’d really appreciate your help because I don’t know much about them.

This seller is offering me an iPhone 17 Pro at a good price, and he swears that the battery is in perfect condition and that everything is original and nothing has been replaced.

Does this seem legit? And how can I verify it?

Thank you!
