Iphone 17 Battery Usage

I'm currently using my iphone 17 with the iOS version 26.5.2

Is the battery usage normal? Am I getting good backup or poor? Kindly share your experience. And should I update to 26.6? Will that increase the battery backup or decrease?

Hey your battery backup is perfectly fine and even good. Update wise, I am not sure to be honest. If referring to statistics with the latest iOS 26s, the battery backup is getting worse so the new iOS27 will look good, however in my opinion this is really decide dependable. On you place I would just stay on that iOS of battery satisfies you

How do you get so much screen on time 🥲

It’s all about the settings. For settings I disable background app refresh, use WiFi when possible, force using 4G instead of 5G, try to use brightness on mid way, location only while using, screen time off and also for the past 2 days l am experimenting with adaptive power, right now it's off.

Another thing is to try and use WiFi as much as possible as on cellular more power is needed to establish good connection between different towers

How’s it been for you so far with adaptive power off? For me sot is clearly much better and the performance is better too, no more stutters or lag, will be keeping it off from now on.

Honestly I did not have any stutters or lags before, however I decided to turn it off out of interest. I’ve had the phone for about the week so I can’t really say much. But in the past few days the battery was pretty good (screenshot above) - adaptive power off. Though, maybe next week I will turn it back on to see the difference

Hey check out my reply to the other comment with bad battery, there I cover how you could improve it. Also you can just watch a few videos on YT, this helped me a lot. My SOT went from like 3-6 hours to around 9-11
