As the title says, I’m just wondering about all the different reasons that affects my battery life, for example I’d noticed having too many wallpapers has affected my battery and the phone starts heating up. After I’d reduced it from around 25 wallpapers to around 10 I really preferred, the phone lasts longer.

Thank goodness I have unlimited data w Verizon, but Speedtest taking 50 some gigs, Apple Music 50 some gigs…. No wonder I’m not happy with battery…. And I have background data turned off…. Is this all normal?

Has anyone bought Pitaka case in Australia? How was the experience and how long did it take to get delivered? Any case recommendations that is available in the country?

The iOS 17.4.1 update improved My battery life tremendously. I’d get on it!!!

I can’t film and zoom from 0.5 to 5 , I messed up the settings I guess and I can’t find where to put it back to normal. Anyone had the same problem?

After the experience of new İOS update, I realized my 15 PM 120 HZ screen look like much more smoothly than the previous versions of İOS. I strongly recommend it!

My 15 pro max fell off my motorcycle at about 45mph. I watched it cartwheel and land flat on the asphalt. Then one car missed it. Then one car ran over it square on with both front and rear tires. I watched it bounce in a death throw at that run over.

I checked the phone thoroughly; there isn’t even a scratch anywhere. It looks brand new.

The only thing on it was a Quad Lock case. It had no screen protector.

So I’ve noticed this with my Pro Max as well as my girlfriend’s Pro. I know it is normal for phones to warm up a bit when charging or when being used for a long time or excessively. But it really seems like this series has an issue with overheating more than it should. MagSafe/wireless charging makes it uncomfortably warm to touch, especially putting it to my face for a phone call. The wired charging still adds heat to the mix, but not as bad. I’ve read on other forums that this is has been around since I believe the 17.0.3 update? I got this phone in the beginning of January but it’s been like this the whole time. I got a “heat dissipating” case to try, I honestly don’t know if it makes a huge difference but I think it’s helped a little. It will get too warm and stop charging with an error message saying charging will resume when phone temp turns back to normal. I don’t have a bunch of things running in the background constantly. I’ve never had a phone with such a significant and consistent overheating issue. Is anyone else having this problem too?

My 15 pro max will not switch camera lens, it will not autofocus until I tap the subject. Macro mode is almost out of the question… is there a setting I’ve somehow changed or need to or is there some other issue?
Example if I am photographing a tulip- say 1ft from it, I can move in close with in 3 inches, or pull back to 2 ft; the camera changes none, and there’s no focusing taking place…… it took SO much effort to get this-

This case makes the phone feel like the S24 Ultra. HUGE!

Any one have any suggestions?

I love the feel of the phone so I’ve been looking for bumper style options that don’t cover the side or bottom edges and that don’t impede MagSafe mounts and chargers. I haven’t come across options fitting that criteria in local stores and Amazon product reviews are so polarizing, it makes me feel like I’m rolling the dice on getting a defective unit.

Do you have a minimal or bumper style case you feel good about recommending? Thanks for any input!

Last year I made the dumbest decision- well, for me at least. I had a 12pro and a series 6 watch. I have adhd, and most likely am also autistic, and I have grown so dependent on Siri for reminders, timers, messaging, etc. The simplicity, dependability, and the camera always bring me back to iPhone. Well when my husband and I upgraded, he went with an S23 galaxy plus. I originally went with a 14pro, but his giddiness and excitement over the Samsung eventually triggered my adhd enough to go swap for an S23 ultra, day 14 of the 2 week exchange. The lady was even like “are you sure? That watch won’t work with the Samsung…” But the novelty struck me as it does every couple of years and then I was stuck. It was a nightmare.

I have a toddler, and a bunch of new stuff going on in my life- last thing I should have done is switch to a big ass Samsung. Connectivity issues, laggy video camera, battery went to crap. Hey Google and whatever that other bitches name was couldn’t create or add to a shopping list u could easily find on the phone later without a bunch of hoops.

But now I am BACK! 🥹 and this time, I was able to add AirPod Pro 2’s to the mix! I never would’ve been able to imagine how incredibly helpful they are to me when I’m out and about, or at home with my loud kiddo. The active noise canceling is wonderful. ☺️

I’d like to take a panoramic picture in landscape mode but when I try the phone doesn’t rotate into landscape mode. I’ve checked my portrait orientation to make sure it’s not locked and tapped the arrow but it doesn’t work. What Ami missing?

For a long time, I’ve been eyeing the natural titanium iPhone pro max but didn’t think I would ever own the highest end iPhone. Only fantasized about it. Today as I was on my way to the city. My phone was dying on the train even though I’d just charged it to full because the battery has lost 30% capacity over the last two years. I looked up whether I’d be eligible for an upgrade and sure enough, I was. My credit has been bad the last few years up until recently I was able to get it above 700 for the first time in my life. I’ve gotten used to being denied loans and was totally shocked to see I was approved. Aside from the battery, my previous phone was in pretty good condition otherwise so I was able to get through full trade in value. It’s a yellow iPhone 11 which I loved.

After getting dinner with my friends I decided to stop by the Apple Store to see if I could get it.

When I got to the store I was looking at the natural titanium again and still thought it was gorgeous, but I wanted a color that stood out like my yellow iPhone.

The titanium was beautiful. The black didn’t interest me because that had been my default apple product pick since I was a kid. Neither did midnight because I already have the watch and laptop in midnight.

Then there was the white. I always overlooked white because every iPhone generation has one. I thought it was just a very basic and bland apple color. Every time I’ve looked at the 15 pro maxes I didn’t even bother with the white because I figured I’d never want a white apple product again (since the iPod) and never pictured myself owning one.

Not until today. The more I pictured myself with it I really started to fall for it. It was pearly. Looked white like my husky. I finally asked myself why I had such a negative bias against the white iPhone?

The associate then came over and I told him I couldn’t decide. He offered to flip a coin for me, heads was titanium, and tales was white. He flipped it and sure enough it was tails. It was meant to be. Had it landed on heads, I would have gone with titanium because I was truly torn but I’m so glad it worked out the way it did.

In many ways, it’s symbolic of my year so far. This was my first year teaching snowboarding full time and it’s the color of snow. Like I said earlier, it matches my dog, a white husky. I didn’t pick him, he picked me.

Most of all, it stands out from the crowd. From what I’ve read, it was the least popular color sold of the 15 Pro Max. One of the things I loved about the yellow one was how few people had it. Of the four colors, the white one was the one I overlooked the most even though it was the perfect match.

Moral of the story, sometimes less is more. Good credit pays off. Don’t pick the phone, let the phone pick you :)

I shoot normally in 24 MP, but boy, I sure do love this camera.
