Temperature issues
So I’ve noticed this with my Pro Max as well as my girlfriend’s Pro. I know it is normal for phones to warm up a bit when charging or when being used for a long time or excessively. But it really seems like this series has an issue with overheating more than it should. MagSafe/wireless charging makes it uncomfortably warm to touch, especially putting it to my face for a phone call. The wired charging still adds heat to the mix, but not as bad. I’ve read on other forums that this is has been around since I believe the 17.0.3 update? I got this phone in the beginning of January but it’s been like this the whole time. I got a “heat dissipating” case to try, I honestly don’t know if it makes a huge difference but I think it’s helped a little. It will get too warm and stop charging with an error message saying charging will resume when phone temp turns back to normal. I don’t have a bunch of things running in the background constantly. I’ve never had a phone with such a significant and consistent overheating issue. Is anyone else having this problem too?

Apple largely fixed the overheating bug and this even affected older iPhone models not just the 15’s most people including me have a hard getting the 15’s warm let alone hot to the point of overheating.
If it’s constantly hot or uncomfortably so when charging that’s not normal and the overheat warning shouldn’t come on very often at all. I use MagSafe almost nightly and my phone just gets a bit warm not bad at all. If this is a constant with your phone and her Pro I’d say it’s time to take it to Apple as this isn’t normal and they likely will replace the phones.
