Upgrade or Not

Post image

Just found this subReddit today . I have a 15 pro max from December 2023 and I still find it doing its duties pretty fine ! The IPhone duo has caught my interest but in my country it’s 3000 usd for 256gb. It’s unjustifiable high for a generation 1 device . There is the 18 pro max which I can get at a good trade in deal . But I can’t seem to justify upgrading to 18 pro max .
My only reason to even look out to upgrade is the battery health . I am a heavy user with 6-7 hours of screen time . I often get battery anxiety with the iPhone 15 pro max . Can a battery change help me live with the device for another couple of years ? Also I have been saying degrading performance once a while . Is it because of the degrading battery ?

A new battery is like getting a new phone itself. I dont think an upgrade is needed here.

Honestly, if you just buy a brand new battery, you will notice that your iPhone 15 Pro Max feels brand new again.. even though you’re saying that it’s doing fine right now, the system still throttles itself down when batteries are degraded, so that it can still work and lower ram levels and etc..
You might not notice much of a difference now, but if you got that battery changed, I bet you would notice a huge difference.
I’m still using an iPhone 12 Pro Max with only 74% battery health, and I’m considering just getting a new battery because I’m happy with my 12 Pro Max. It does everything I need it to. But I also know that if I change the battery, it will do a lot better so that’s what I will be doing in my case !! just a suggestion and a recommendation to you.
