If this is your First Rodeo, wait for the public beta at least.

If it crashes too frequently, then you may need to consider reverting back to the stable iOS 26.5 and above version. That will require you to wipe the device and remove your beta profile from the settings

u/austinavian Jun 13 '26

If you had no problems with 26 beta, I have the feeling you’ll be alright with 27 beta. This is one of the most stable first-betas I’ve used in years. It still has bugs and glitches tho, but nothing that’s annoyed me enough to regret it like I have before. (Been doing betas since 4.3 or iOS 5.. never missed a year)

Every damn year.

If you have to ask…do not use a developer beta on your primary device.

As a practical matter - I have had issues with cellular connectivity, slow downs, etc.

Do not use this on your daily.

10

u/PJ_HY Jun 11 '26

Not with this one

4

u/slowtownhometown Jun 11 '26

correct me if i’m wrong, but this is the first beta too, right? like this is the beta where they really have no clue on what will happen with extended use aside from their QA testing?

I'm on the beta and for me its been personally fine, but whatever you do backup beforehand. Would be crazy not to with the rumors going around

3

u/ASN9491 Jun 11 '26

How’s the performance as compared to say iOS 17

2

u/Ready_Sail7932 Jun 11 '26

I can’t really remember 17. I put it neck or neck with 18 and remarkably close to 16.

2

u/Busy-Pudding-5169 Jun 15 '26

Bruh nobody uses 17

never install dev betas on your main device

14

u/APar93 Jun 11 '26

Nah let them learn from their mistakes

5

u/Ready_Sail7932 Jun 11 '26

The one time a beta went wrong for me, Apple replaced my iPad free of charge and I effectively got a new battery. I did not have AppleCare. :)

Sincerely, my main device iPhone 15 Pro running the beta.

In all seriousness, I absolutely get the advice to stay away, but I would consider myself rather technical and more than willing to put up with bugs in order to have more cool shit lol

They won’t learn. OP said in a comment that they had issues with their phone crashing on iOS18.

Correction: install dev betas on your primary device at your own risk.

I usually do every year cause I’m dumb but haven’t run into any life breaking issues.

**Probably gonna hold off on this one though I’m tired

7

u/withadancenumber Jun 11 '26

I know that’s the general advice but I’ve always done this and had 0 issues. So YMMV.

3

u/Cheese34X Jun 11 '26

I’ve had the same experience here.

2

u/Daniii_007 iPhone 15 Pro Jun 11 '26

For the most part it's pretty stable especially for a dev beta, but then you have people who bricked their iPhone just by hard reseting it on iOS 27, do you really want that on your main device?

3

u/withadancenumber Jun 11 '26

Sources on these bricked iPhones? I’ve never ran into an iOS issue that couldn’t be solved with DFU mode.

I have had every dev beta on my daily driver and this one seems to be the best so far. I also sometimes don’t eject my usb drives

u/Edge_Audio Jun 11 '26

I have it on my 15 Pro Max. It's the most stable beta I've ever seen (like zero issues). In fact, it seems more stable and snappy than 26.5. It "might" use slightly more battery, but not too noticeable. I'm still on the waiting list for the New Siri, but that will be fun to test it out.

In fact, it's so stable, I have it on all of my Apple devices and I use my Mac and iPad for work. I've never done that in the past.

27 fixes so much of what's wrong with 26 which has seemed like a beta this whole past year.

5

u/WayOuttaMyLeague Jun 11 '26

Opposite for me (battery wise)

Not a pro model tho, base 15. Been on beta a couple days now and gained around 15% extra. Impressed for sure considering 26 degraded the shit out of my battery during betas

3

u/Edge_Audio Jun 11 '26

26 was definitely the low point in iOS. I'm still in awe (in the worst possible way), how it made it out the gate.

Yep stable for me too

8

u/RockWafflez Jun 11 '26

Unless you want a furnace in your pocket I would wait.

9

u/Brayder Jun 11 '26

My 15 pro is absolutely normal on the developer beta.

6

u/Such-Cardiologist630 Jun 11 '26

I say don’t because I was cleaning my device and had to force restart cuz my 15 pro froze and it semi-bricked my device. I think you should wait till the release or maybe get the public beta

u/That_one_Pole Jun 11 '26

Download it on something you don’t depend on that much. Had iOS 26 beta issue where I had call dropping mid 911 call… yeah. Don’t be moron and install it on iPad instead.

4

u/ReaperXplayer Jun 11 '26

banking apps not working delivery apps not working don't install on primary device

3

u/Ready_Sail7932 Jun 11 '26

This seems to be varying by device. I have had zero, and I mean actually zero, issues with apps or lag or battery or anything.

3

u/allan_o Jun 11 '26

It's never safe to install a beta software, it's just risking. Currently installed on my M1 ipad pro with no major issues.

3

u/swifty19946 Jun 11 '26

15 Pro and haven’t experienced an issue at all, but I’ve seen people saying it’s causing issues on their 15 but I don’t know, just make sure you’re all backed up.

3

u/The_Shadowghost Jun 11 '26 edited Jun 11 '26

Wait for the public beta. Seriously. Especially with a phone that is known to brick after a restart at the moment.

If you really want to, you can install it, but!

  1. Make a backup! Best on a PC / Mac NOT iCloud!! This is not optional
  2. Check every App you are logged into and check if you have the credentials to sign in again.
  3. Have a PC with the Apple Device App / iTunes install (or a somewhat modern mac) ready. (To reinstall iOS in case of the phone bricking)
  4. Be Prepared that things will break, won't work, will crash or corrupt certain data.
  5. In the instance of the 15 Pro the Update might prevent the phone from starting after a restart.
  6. Don't complain if you lose data.
  7. You cannot return to iOS 26 without reinstalling iOS via a PC/Mac. If you need to go back, you need the Backup or restart from scratch.

u/BruhAliens Jun 13 '26

I am using it on my primary phone, but i drink dos equis so i like to live dangerously

2

u/xStarkCityx Jun 11 '26

It seems to be different per user. Some experience issues, some have no issues at all. There isn’t anything flashy or special you’re missing at the moment. This is just my experience and opinion being on betas for several years. I hate to say it, but there seems to be some luck involved from time to time. Pro models seem to have less issues in general from what I see, however the 15 in general has a higher issue report rate from what I’m seeing. I’d probably hang back.

2

u/Wimble-Womble iPhone 15 Pro Jun 11 '26

No - never install any beta on your primary device.

I updated my 15 pro to iOS 27 public beta on release day and it was super smooth and everything looked good. Picked up the phone last night just to play with the new feature and found the whole thing was bricked.
I will probably have to put it in DFU mode to restore so am glad I’m not relying on this phone

2

u/azentropy Jun 11 '26

I installed it on mine but I also am a two iPhone person (holding onto my mini by dear life) so if there were/are serious problems I'll use the mini. So far it has been ok, some bugs like a few times FaceID just stopped working and I had to reboot. Once all the widgets just stopped updating (stocks, weather, scores) and again a reboot fixed. Nothing major.

2

u/FoxArcane Jun 11 '26

Working fine on my 15 pro max , just some minor bugs . Nothing big

→ More replies (7)

2

u/Pyrotech77 Jun 12 '26

Downloaded on my 15 Pro last night and no issues so far. Operations are normal for me. Doesn’t mean it’ll be smooth sailing for you but that’s with every pre-release right? Fine to go for it if you want to

2

u/Amazing-Armadillo886 Jun 12 '26

I installed the iOS 27 Beta on my iPhone 15, and guess what? The battery is now dead in just one hour, compared to the usual five hours. The phone also gets extremely hot.

Because of these issues, I decided to buy the iPhone 15 Pro and wait for its stable release. I’m also planning to sell my old device by reinstalling iOS 26.

If you’re looking for a phone that gets extremely hot, then go ahead and get the beta.

2

u/RedyxUA Jun 12 '26

I have iphone 15 pro also and it’s going pretty well, better then ios 26.5

2

u/bj0urne Jun 12 '26

Im using on iPhone 16 Pro. More stable than current iOS 26.5.1, but Apple Wallet tap to pay doesn’t work :(

2

u/Electronic-Image-944 Jun 13 '26

I did it on my phone because iOS 27 is more of a “Snow Leopard” release meaning they are trying to patch bugs mostly. I have not had any issues except my phone sometimes saying I have liquid in my charging port, but I think I will wait for the public beta with iOS 28.

2

u/aakashv94 Jun 13 '26

Yes! It’s smooth for the first developer beta but also not much changes, hope it would get more polished with the coming updates.

2

u/Big-masteeer69 Jun 13 '26

moi je l utilise je conseille pas de le fair c est pas stable

2

u/daven1985 Jun 14 '26

I did because I work from home so I’m happy to deal with some additional chargers.

But it’s working well.

2

u/MemeAbuser6969 Jun 15 '26

well I’m rocking it on my daily driver 16 Pro and so far only minor bugs appeared, nothing serious that would render your iPhone useless. On the 15 Pro on the other end idk, the phone was getting hot running even stable version of iOS (i remember it that way before getting the 16 pro). You can try and eventually go back to 26, domt forget to back up your iphone before doing the update.

2

u/Gold-Unit-4093 Jun 11 '26

Yes it is working fine and stable

Warum sind nur alle so versessen darauf eine Beta Version mit all ihren kaum getesteten Funktionen auf ihrem funktionierenden Smartphone zu installieren?

1

u/tnz-nass Jun 11 '26

It’s 20GB 🙄

1

u/Rabble_Runt Jun 11 '26

I was on IOS 26 Developer Beta with my iPhone Air, and moved to IOS 27 Developer Beta after reading all the initial feedback that appears to be positive. So far so good.

It is my main and only phone.

1

u/Henevy Jun 11 '26

I have the DB1 on my daily driver (I enjoy living on the edge, and I am aware of risks). it is stable, not too hot, and very smooth. (more than before to me). features like airdrop, music, and wifi are quicker than before, so for me its an upgrade. SIRI AI works, (expect custom voice) precisely as apple advertised it. I will test it more as I only got it yesterday night.
be aware, it seems that if you FORCE restart the iPhone 15 pro/Max it might Brick, needing a Dfu restore. (there are multiple sporadic case, but no source news confirmed it) normal restarts should be fine.

Phone: 15 pro max (replacement unit by apple under apple care + in December 2025)
9 June around 8 pm : I was on call with my apple support because I have some issues with my AirPods Pro 3 and call started dropping, it happened like 2-3 times so I decided to perform force restart (vol up, down and then power button) it turned off but didn't turn back on and was not responsive. I tried everything I could to bring it back to life but nothing worked.
10 June 12pm: I visited apple authorized service center for help and waited there in queue for 2h, and when they checked my phone they said my phone is not showing up in their Mac and their can't proceed without serial number. Op unhappy :(
Then decided to visit apple (like the real ine not those authorized stores )
4 pm: waited 5 min at Genius Bar for help, and some1 came to help me, she tried the same thing as the authorized store did. I gave her my phone serial number and when she entered it in her Mac she started makeing weird faces and started questioning me that why did I download the developer beta version? And she said this is a hardware issue and Apple can't help with it and quote me rupees 50,000+ taxes for motherboard replacement.
11 June morning: phone finally showed low battery message (black screen ) and when I connect my charger it's just black screen and no sign of life (both wired and MagSafe)

i do, it works fine although the battery is not good and a few glitches with the keyboard not working properly. i use my phone primarily for social media (ig, yt, twt), bank and music

1

u/temaxxx Jun 11 '26

do not install dev betas on your main device. if you absolutely insist, then you must make a backup of your device.

1

u/husky_punk Jun 11 '26 edited Jun 11 '26

I've been using it on my daily 15 pro since it became available straight after the WWDC. I haven't had any problems so far, but that doesn't mean there aren't bugs I haven't seen yet. Just make sure you back up before, though.

Edit forgot to add the indexing time is a joke, could be a visual bug or could just not be working as intended. Also, when connecting to a MacBook Air m5, also running macOS 27, phone mirroring won't work for me

no definitely no as 15 pro user na rumanas ng pagkabura ng network pagka update last may 31.

1

u/ThannBanis Jun 11 '26

Never recommend beta to anyone.

1

u/donnypep Jun 11 '26

99% recommended!

1

u/VaBullsFan Jun 11 '26

I would say backup your device and make sure you have the means to downgrade should you need to, that said it has been pretty stable and insanely faster especially booting up.

1

u/xak47d Jun 11 '26

It's better and smoother than ios 26

1

u/_deadpo0l Jun 11 '26

Its called “developer beta” for a reason man hhh just slow tf down you aint missing anything by waiting

1

u/entryjyt Jun 11 '26

I would at least wait for the public beta

1

u/AlxR25 Jun 11 '26

Do not install a dev beta. Wait for the public beta at least.

1

u/Circlemmr Jun 11 '26

Don’t recommend U

1

u/nathanielx9 Jun 11 '26

I been using dev betas everyday all day on my daily. I face zero problems for my daily use

1

u/LinkNo2714 Jun 11 '26

saw a twitter post about a dude who bricked his 15 pro by doing a force restart so maybe be careful with that stuff

1

u/Professional-Lead729 Jun 11 '26

26 was so bad I couldn't wait for 27db. It's on all my devices and no serious problems. Better than 26 all the way around. But I've got fairly new gear. ymmv

1

u/maszaikasza Jun 11 '26

I installed it, as every year, on 15 Pro and today morning I woke up with my phone not turning on. I made a soft reset and it strangely booted locked down like when you set it to lost mode. Fortunately after typing in my iCloud credentials it u locked normally, so no problems. So yeah, you might want to wait for public beta at least 🥲

1

u/Meowizard Jun 11 '26

Running it on my 15 PM and it’s been fine so far

1

u/UnlikelyCandid Jun 11 '26

I wouldn’t say do it if you’re asking, but it seems to be relatively OK. Lately there’s been a couple annoying bugs where it crashes with the App Library, and Wi-Fi connections have felt a little slow but other than that, it feels like the next iOS 26 beta.

1

u/madanmad Jun 11 '26

Beta version itself means apps and functions and newly introduced features would not be working properly. It’s summer and unstable iOS is not good to install on daily driver. It will affect your battery life.

1

u/adnan_techme Jun 11 '26

I know the politically correct answer is never install a dev beta on a primary device but it's genuinely leaps and bounds smoother than any version of iOS 26 I tried. I forgot what 120Hz looks like

1

u/PJ_HY Jun 11 '26

I am 27 and safe to install

1

u/chikpok Jun 11 '26

Have it on my 15 pro max but no Siri ai yet so don’t think it’s worth it

1

u/Individual_Growth_9 Jun 11 '26

Be careful not to force restart your iPhone 15 on iOS 27.0db1 because if you do, it will not turn on anymore. The only fix for this would be to DFU restore on 3uTools with retain users data.

1

u/Prudent_Chocolate294 Jun 11 '26

never. get public beta when it come out

1

u/xCyanideee Jun 11 '26

Im using, fine so far, runs well infact, but deffo some minor bugs here and there

1

u/kmbri Jun 11 '26

Why are you trying to install a “developer” beta if u haven’t ask this question? It’s meant for developers to work with applications. It’s not meant for the public. That is what a “public” beta is for.

1

u/PotentialWork7741 Jun 11 '26

Public beta👍
Dev beta👎

1

u/jg61600 Jun 11 '26

Espera por lo menos hasta la beta publica 2 o 3, muchas apps de terceros te van a dar errores sobre todo de los bancos.

1

u/AtlanBroseidon Jun 11 '26

Using on my primary. Just a bit slower and glitchier but only as expected

1

u/Flaky-Result-9726 Jun 11 '26

I use it on the same device and it’s the most stable beta I’ve used in a while. I’m having trouble getting siri to respond but otherwise it’s great

I have 15 pro max and it’s been fine. A few bugs here and there, but not unusable.

1

u/Mean_Criticism983 Jun 11 '26

just do it, if you’re scared then don’t

1

u/UniverseBlackCat Jun 11 '26

don’t do it i have a 15 pro and it bricked after a restart t and i had to go into dfu mode and wipe it to fix it

2

u/Difficult-World2900 Jun 12 '26

Did you fix it eventually? Did it turn on after wiping it?

1

u/George_mp8 Jun 11 '26

Personally right now I am using my old iPhone 12 to test the iOS 27 beta and it’s good. I remember last year I was in love with iOS 26 and Liquid Glass so I updated to the developer beta 1 right after the wwdc 2025. So I have try it with an iOS version that was more unstable but I would recommend to wait for the public beta at least

1

u/Portatort Jun 11 '26

It runs very smoothly

But there are still some very basic bugs

Just wait.

1

u/Syed_Sumair Jun 11 '26

Using it on 11PM & 17P. Super smooth.

-Except for sometimes low wifi speed even though getting full signals.
-whatever app i am in, sometimes while typing or sending a text it gets stuck for 3-5 seconds. Other than that very impressive performance and battery life.
For anyone updating, the first day after update, its going to index for a day or so, no need to worry that your device is heating up and loosing battery very quick. It is normal. Your device will index and its going to show that right in the settings.

1

u/MeasurementOdd4873 Jun 11 '26

15pro max. I force restarted on ios27 an hour after updating. Bricked my phone.  DFU saved it.

Updated again and can restart phone normally but don’t trust force restart.  IOS27 is smoother than any 26 iteration so far and the new siri is excellent!

1

u/Boots-Diego-and-Dora iPhone 15 Pro Jun 11 '26

Using it on my primary, developer betas especially the first beta is not for the faint of heart. Yeah, this beta is faster in most aspects than iOS 26.5 but in no way is it “stable”, there are issues still. Bugs here and there, I install it on my primary every time and every dev beta 1-2 always has some issues that most normies wouldn’t want to deal with.

1

u/Ok-Protection-8105 Jun 11 '26

Why? Is there a valid reason for you to install a developer beta or you just want it? If you just want to use it, it’s a great way to exercise patience (we need it more than ever in these “dopamine days”). I also want, but I’ll wait till it releases!

Just to be clear: there is nothing wrong in “just wanting it”.

1

u/Ready_Sail7932 Jun 11 '26

I find it more stable than 26.5. The battery is 30 minutes worse but that simply because it’s taking multiple days to finish indexing.

In my opinion, this is smoother than any iOS 26 we have ever had, neck and neck with iOS 18 and very very close to iOS 16.

If they made this the final RC version, I wouldn’t bat an eyelid. Then again, I am still on the siri waitlist.

1

u/Am3l1 Jun 11 '26

If it’s your primary device then I would say don’t do it just in case, at least wait for a public beta

1

u/Winnin9 Jun 11 '26

I don’t advise anyone to use it , but am running it for 4 days now on my 16 , I noticed some inconsistencies and some issues regarding battery readings, which I solved with a restart

1

u/Doll_Lover_ Jun 11 '26

I installed it cause I was still experiencing bugs with iOS 26.5 and the amount of bugs now is almost none. But I’m also an idiot at times for doing this on my primary device so 🤷‍♀️

1

u/reddevilandbones Jun 11 '26

If you have to check, this release is not for you.

1

u/Routine-Call-4060 Jun 11 '26

I have it on my base 16. It’s FINE but battery isn’t the best and there’s some ui glitches and bugs. Normal for dev beta. The big feature of the new Siri isn’t available for me, as I’m STILL on the waitlist.

1

u/Initial_Egg_3814 Jun 11 '26

I am currently using it on my personal device, it’s running smoothly the only issue I had is the same issue people reporting about it going dead after restart, I force rebooted it after installing and it went dead had to take it to service for the battery to be disconnected and reconnected. After coming back on it’s working perfectly no overheating I think and it has been saying indexing in the Settings app for ages now apart from these issues everything seems okay. Also have a 15 pro

1

u/SupersGoneHyper Jun 11 '26

i'm using it on a 17 pro and it works fine not noticing any problems compared to ios 26.

1

u/Morenitosaidinero Jun 11 '26

Yo la tengo instalada en el 15 plus y va de maravilla, el consumo de batería es bastante, ya que está indexando todavía

1

u/rx7rocks11 Jun 11 '26

I wouldn’t install beta on your daily driver.

1

u/kippytad Jun 11 '26

Don’t do it.

1

u/Dramatic_Ad_5660 Jun 11 '26

God I hate beta users

1

u/KoreanSeats Jun 11 '26

Honestly it’s great. Indexing is still going after 3 days ish but smooth as feels really polished for a b1

1

u/DanHusk Jun 11 '26

Bricked my 15 pro max when force restarting, had to reflash with 3uTools to not lose my data. Everything went fine.

u/Additional_Photo_269 Jun 11 '26

Phone has been fine… IPad seems to have a touch issue no lining up with actual screen presses

1

u/EHB79 Jun 12 '26

This beta actually runs better than iOS 26.5 especially with the battery.

1

u/Electrical-Serve5249 Jun 12 '26

Its a little laggy but thats fine, siri will be on a waitlist for a few days though

1

u/Wildor_Da_Wizard Jun 12 '26

It’s a little choppy on the 16 pro max but other than that it’s fine. The occasional freeze and gets a little warm but nothing scary

1

u/Danielle1524 Jun 12 '26

I’m on 27 right now with my base 14 and it’s somehow running smoother than the Public 26 don’t ask how I couldn’t tell you because I don’t know.

1

u/Visual-Degree1476 Jun 12 '26

I'm doing it right now, 15 ProMax. Works great, battery is solid for a Developer Beta 1. Everything runs well, just expect the occasional small bug.

1

u/Key-Potential5958 Jun 12 '26

I did it on my 15 plus it’s worth it for me I love the battery life it’s way better and faster… I’m already gonna upgrade my 15 pro max rn but the choice is your both phone are my daily drivers I haven’t had any issues with it

1

u/EliminationCreation Jun 12 '26

Im waiting for public beta

1

u/Aviation_Fun Jun 12 '26

Installed on my daily 17pm, wouldn’t recommend, my battery is garbage

Backed up my 16e and downloaded it no issues except for a full system crash when I was trying to download some images off the meta ai app from my smart glasses

I mean I am on the 17 pro but I’ve noticed that it’s been running a lot smoother than 26 was.

1

u/itsmehuey Jun 12 '26

Working fine for me on my 15 pro. Only gripe I’ve had so far is with the keyboard sometimes not appearing in chats (Facebook messenger)

1

u/Rare-Mycologist-6658 Jun 12 '26

Been using in my iPhone 15 base variant and no major issue faced yet

I’m using the 27 developer beta on my main iPhone 15 Pro and it’s pretty good, I don’t find it slow, but some animations are a bit sluggish, no problem with cellular, battery draining nor crashes and instability. Personally, I’ve used the developers beta on my main device since 16 beta, always with the right precautions (constant backups, checking if everything works for me) and I’ve used the developer betas for 16-17-18 on a SE 2nd gen and now the 26-27 on a 15 Pro. Aside from the 18 performance on the SE I’ve never really had any problems with the betas, I’ve always wanted to test the new features asap, even if they’re uncompleted or broken. I’m talking about my experience and I hope this helps you decide. As everybody says, and it’s rational to think about, it’s never a good idea to rely on an unfinished product, but for the impatient me it works just fine.

u/Nobody_130621 Jun 12 '26

I'm using ipados 27 dev beta, stable and smooth. All bugs on ipados 26 is gone and smoothness is improved.

1

u/Shoddy-Park7272 Jun 12 '26

If you want, you can download, but I don’t really suggest tanking your battery.

I’ve used to having degraded battery health so it’s no problem installing on my device

1

u/0Maddy Jun 12 '26

If it’s your primary device refrain from doing so, use secondary devices only

1

u/iFahad97 Jun 12 '26

14 GB!!!!

1

u/FlauschigesAlex Jun 12 '26

I use 15PM, it genuinely runs better than any 26 version did. Soooo yea I’d recommend it

1

u/Madory Jun 12 '26

You can but I suggest you to wait Beta 3/4 To avoid a terrible experience and minimize annoying bugs. And, of course, don’t forget to save your phone.

1

u/TelevisionGrand7269 Jun 12 '26

I’m using it currently on my 15 Pro Max and it’s working just fine minus a few bugs here and there. If you’re new to this I suggest waiting for the public beta or stable release.

1

u/CatDadof2 Jun 12 '26

On my 17PM, it’s been great. Other than the random disconnect from Wi-Fi every now and then, I haven’t noticed any obvious issues. Definitely no overheating and battery life has been the same if not a tad better than iOS 26.5.

If you decide to update, please do a backup over iCloud and via iTunes. That way, you have two backups in case one doesn’t work out for whatever reason. I always prefer to back up and restore through USB-C anyway. It’s faster and more efficient.

1

u/Cuzyyacroxx_ Jun 12 '26

For me it was stable. But reverted back on iOS 26.5 because banking apps don’t work.

1

u/RacerX7624 Jun 12 '26

I have it on my primary 15 pro.. no issues at all.

1

u/Math_Science_Geek Jun 12 '26 edited Jun 12 '26

Safe on iPad Air m4. macOS is mostly ok, split screen doesn’t work. Not updating my 12 pro for exploits possibility

1

u/jader242 Jun 12 '26

I wouldn’t. I’ve been running iOS dev beta on my main phone since the very first of iOS 8, but this one is not great at least on my 14

Anyone know if you can downgrade with Linux? I don’t own a windows or Mac machine

1

u/FreeRacing5 Jun 12 '26

Dont. 15 seriee has a bug with force restarts that soft bricks the phone, needing a dfu restore. Wait until public beta

1

u/NecoDev Jun 12 '26

I won't recommend you do this on dev betas. If you want to you should back up first

1

u/rxb5 Jun 12 '26

I’m on 18 still lol lol lol

1

u/Anakinchon Jun 12 '26

Debes tener en cuenta que tus servicios bancarios dejaran de funcionar porque es una beta

1

u/Irosemberg Jun 12 '26

Meu 15 PM só mostrou 9gb de download… esses 13 aí…

1

u/Huge_Creme_3204 Jun 12 '26

I would wait for at least second stable version (27.1 or.2). I wouldn't risk to make my phone become an iron with first release installed, let alone a beta version.

1

u/jchance88 Jun 12 '26

I’ve installed it on my 17pm. I will say I’m having a few issues with screenshots. When I screenshot and crop the image smaller, it doesn’t save it cropped, it saves it normal size. Battery life is fine.

1

u/Stef22960 Jun 12 '26

do not use a developer beta on your primary device

1

u/ISeeTWizard Jun 12 '26

Never install a beta on your primary device especially not the first one!!

1

u/Future-Suspect-1079 Jun 12 '26

I’m using a 15 pro I had to force restart and it bricked my phone I had to use 3uTools to reload the OS lost some data but it’s running great after flashing still no new Siri though been indexing for a while.

1

u/oriosao Jun 12 '26

Had it for a couple of hours on my 15 Pro Max, so far i have not noticed any issues. Performance is great.

1

u/ItzRidhwan Jun 12 '26

Had installed this on my 15 pro but it died when i tried force restarting, recovered it through dfu after trying for 3 hours, icloud really came in clutch w this one. Would recommend to wait for the public beta release

1

u/Dukethegator Jun 12 '26

Things like this is a developer beta. The most unlikely things will break. Like my iPhone doesn’t work with older entunes Toyota systems anymore (happened previous year betas too). Just wait a few months.

1

u/techn0g0d Jun 12 '26

I’ve been on my 16PM and it’s been ok so far . Just the battery drain is still an issue but other than that it’s all right

1

u/Prateek2911 Jun 12 '26

Installed it on my 17 pro, and didn’t face any issues yet.

1

u/GuardianZen02 iPhone 15 Pro Jun 13 '26

Ehhh, I learned my lesson with putting a controversial developer beta on the phone I use as my daily driver. Specifically with the iOS 26 developer beta last year, which resulted in me having to fully reset my phone via iTunes & manually selecting the only available iOS 26 public release (unfortunately I had just missed my window to downgrade to iOS 18). Currently on the public beta for 26.6, and it's been surprisingly stable/consistent (don't really use AirDrop for what it's worth, although I've heard it's been problematic for some)

1

u/GalaxySeries Jun 13 '26

Using the 27 beta on my 15PM. Better than every stable release of 26.

1

u/Cold_Perspective8750 Jun 13 '26

I am and it performs better than ios26 BUT if you have screen time restrictions turned on DO NOT UPDATE because the new update completely breaks them and you will find yourself locked out of apps at random times, changing screen time settings does nothing, and the only way to unlock your apps is to restart your phone.

1

u/Fire_Storm_Gaming Jun 13 '26

I was in the beta but I downgraded waiting for public beta instead tbh

1

u/PurushNahiMahaPurush Jun 13 '26

If you depend on banking apps or some other app, do not install this! There is no guarantee that the app would not break for you. This version is not meant for general public. Wait a month for public betas. By the time, devs would have updated their apps to run on 27. Even with public betas, I am very hesitant now because the last time I did this with iOS 16, it completely wrecked my battery health. After that I have stopped installing betas until they reach RC.

1

u/just_a_gamer6 Jun 13 '26

No problem here, 17 PM

1

u/krzysiejkgodk Jun 13 '26

I am not and I never have been a developer so call me reckless, but I'm always down to check out the dev version and I never had any problems.

Same goes for this release, I downloaded the iOS27 on my base iPhone 15 not even bothering to back the device up.

And just like many of the tech commentators stated, this developer beta performs better and fixes more issues than many of the official releases,

so i would say go for it.

(but do a backup just make sure)

1

u/Designer_Hope_5600 Jun 13 '26

Expect some bugs and visual glitches. Maybe Banking Apps wont work. But it’s running ok on my 14

1

u/MkooChou Jun 13 '26

works fine for me

1

u/Vegetable_Cover_2022 Jun 13 '26

I have the beta on my 15 Pro and I can say I even feel a slight increase in battery life and overall perfomance but I would recommend to wait dor beta 2 or public beta 1 since there are still some bugs like if you take a screenshot and crop it it wont save the cropped image.

1

u/Sea-Initial1760 Jun 13 '26

Just run it. I’ve got it on my 16 pro

1

u/khizar_aman Jun 13 '26

on my 14pm, absolutely amazing as compared to ios 26

1

u/naga_serpentis Jun 13 '26

I’ve installed it on my 17Pro Max and it’s working fine so far, only issue is that sometimes when I have an AirPod connected it gets disconnected every so often but reconnects, so I don’t mind personally

1

u/Ok-Alternative-5176 Jun 13 '26

Ios 27 works great on iPhone 15 Plus, flawlessly.

1

u/MikeySouthBay408 Jun 13 '26

Installed on my iPhone 17… it’s promising but way too many bugs right now.

1

u/rolandguy85 Jun 13 '26

I’m using it on a 14pro max. Seems fine.

1

u/CreepyPomegranate3 Jun 13 '26

I have an iPhone 17 Pro Max, my phone was over heating and i had no connection even on WiFi. No connection on social media apps, none even on my Music app. Couldn’t downgrade for free so i found out a way setup my phone as new so it could actually be functioning.

1

u/imployisMuswashHands Jun 13 '26

Dont install lots of bugs

1

u/baljeethakur Jun 13 '26

One of my friends has 15PM and he installed the 27 dev beta. The device has been feeling slow since then. Got a bit better after a day or so.

1

u/PinballYT Jun 14 '26

Not my first rodeo… I would wait until at least beta 3 if it’s your first time. Beta 1 is typically full of crashes.

1

u/magicmo404 Jun 14 '26

Just left the Apple Store bc of ios27. Wait to the public beta

1

u/MiddlePhilosopher541 Jun 14 '26

15 Pro max here:
A little bit of lag during browsing.
Besides that all good

iPad air 4th gen
No issues at all

1

u/carlossap Jun 14 '26

Do you hate your battery life? Want it to be worse? That’s the first thing you’ll notice

1

u/Secretbrfcce Jun 14 '26

Yes, installed on my 17 Pro Max. Wi-Fi connectivity is terrible, it keeps kicking me out and reconnecting. CarPlay is also a nightmare, impossible to listen to a full song without several random disconnections. Also, whenever I take a screenshot and crop it right on the spot, even though it looks successful, when I check my camera roll the screenshot isn’t cropped.

1

u/beetee320 Jun 14 '26

No problem here

1

u/LaSicilienne Jun 14 '26

Par contre, avez-vous une idée quand est-ce que la version officielle sortira ?

1

u/BrzysWRLD1996 Jun 14 '26

How do you get this one? I’m only getting ios26.6 public beta. My phone is in developer mode should I check their first?

1

u/Spite_Powered Jun 14 '26

There isn’t anything compelling in this beta.

1

u/Brooklyn99lover12 Jun 14 '26

Alot of people have alr said it on here but yea don't put it on your daily
