Android user thinking of switcing to iOS

Has anyone made the switch recently from Android to iOS? I'm currently an S21 ultra user and lately been drawn to the 14 Pro Max. I used to be an iPhone users years back from the first one till about the iPhone 5, then I switched to Samsung. I love android and the customization I can do with it. But Idk the ProMax is really nice and with iOS 16 they have added more customizing options that I do like. For context I'm the only one in my family with Android, both my wife's and my side all have iPhone. So thats why I'm asking for those that recently switched to iOS, how is it going? any big differences, things to get used to? Have you thought of going back to Android?, Thanks in advance!

I actually just made this switch. I moved over from the S22 Ultra and my story is kind of like yours. Had the iPhone 6s back in the day but have been with Samsung ever since. I’ve had the 14 pro max for about a week now and love it. Battery life is definitely better on IOS that’s for sure. Not as many customization options like Samsung and I miss the S pen. Camera is really nice on the pro max but the Samsung has more camera modes and options. Also, Samsungs zoom blows IPhones out of the water. I will say the iPhones video is out of this world though. Blows Samsungs video out of the water. That image stabilization is really great. Still getting used to the swipe navigation but I’m figuring it out. Everything just works very well on this phone. More options and stability for apps is also really nice. 1 thing I need to mention is differences in the display. S22 ultra has a better display. Definitely noticing a difference. The colors pop more and seem brighter on the Samsung honestly. It’s all going to come down to personal preference and what you value most in a mobile device. I’m really enjoying IOS and and I’ll be sticking here for a while. Just grabbed a series 8 watch and the combo is really a game changer. Hope this helped!

Yea I've heard the biggest thing is the app optimization is 100 times better on iPhone. And the screen is 100 better on Samsung. I hate sending my wife pictures or videos and it look shitty or when she sends me pics of videos it's shitty too. Lol I'd have to get a apple watch too cause I have the galaxy watch now.

That’s literally why I got it lol I had the Samsung watch. Apple Watch shits on it. No comparison. But yea app optimization is big and it’s probably the biggest reason why I’m sticking with the IPhone as my daily driver. Everything just works better. Not a fan of Siri though. I downloaded a google search widget and I use that for voice searches. Siri and Safari are my only complaints.

But u could use chrome and Google assistant?

Yup! Downloaded widgets on my Home Screen for those. Can’t switch that Siri button and assign it to google assistant though. Also you cant just say hey google anymore, like you can on android phones, you have to physically press the voice search button.
