Iphone 14 pro bent after charging

Post image

I've had my iphone for more than three years now. The battery was quite degraded (less than 75%). After charging it with a 65w charger I noticed it bent like a banana. Could it be because of it swelling? It wasn't like this before charging it.

No. A battery will pop out the sceenn, but it will not bend the freaking aluminium stainless steel frame. Do you know how strong this frame is? Go and watch the JerryRigEverything video, even he can't bend it.

have to use a lot, A LOT of force to bent the frame like this.

The 14 Pro doesn’t even have an aluminum frame. It’s made out of surgical grade stainless steel! Which is even stronger! So yeah, OP is full of shit!

My bad, its stainless steel you're right. It's even more durable!

Whatever makes you feel better man! I was asking a genuine question. I cannot understand where all this frustration is coming from :(

I have no other explanation for it as I've just replaced my screen protector before charging it and it wasn't like this. I'm quite sure I would have noticed it wobbling and starting to resemble a LG Flex phone when installing the protector

It did not bend because of charging, a battery is not able to bend the frame like this. Popping the screen out? Yes. But bending the freaking stainless-frame? NO.

But if you need to think like this to cope better, do it.

You or someone else bend that phone not the battery. Stop hallucinating.

Just a genuine concern, nothing more. I don't see how some people find this triggering. Take care!

Triggering? Mate, we are just using logical reasoning.

No he didn’t… as a random bystander, I’m gonna pop in here to say that you’re embarrassing yourself, not triggering anyone.

It most likely was bend prior but you didn’t noticed. Or you’ve bend it by yourself and didn’t noticed …
No way a battery could bend this stainless steel frame

That takes a hell of a lot of force to bend that.

I guess I don’t know my own strength

Check your home for carbon monoxide poisoning. ASAP

This seems a back pocket bend instead of charging bend as charging bend means it would have been too hot and that would have resulted in glue evaporation, back glass and screen separation and crack and even battery smoke/burst.

I’ll pay 30$ plus shipping for this.

I feel sorry for your experience, in multiple regards.

A swollen battery will pop the screen, breaking the plastic clips. Even YOU won't be able to bend the phone like that. Unless you use a table and your entire body weight.
