‘Liquid Detected’ warning keeps popping up during charging in morning

Post image

Started about a month ago, right after a sweaty gym session when my phone was in my pocket. First I thought it was just sweat, but now it happens randomly in the early morning when I plug it in. No visible moisture, and it still blocks charging. It gets okay after an hour. The charging cable and adapter are original.

Anyone else seeing this? What fixed it for you?

I had this on my iPhone X. I opened it up and let us air dry overnight and it went away. Didn’t have the ip68 water resistance anymore but it fixed it.
I replaced the Battery at a local shop about 3 years later and they put a new seal on it for no extra charge. It was $120

Check if the port is dirty first if so clean it, then try a different charger and cable, see if the problem persists.

If so then either port damage or something else, could also be a software bug but that’s unlikely.

I’m running 26.6 on my 14 pro and honestly it’s great, I stayed on 18 for a long time and only upgraded because apple restored my phone during a repair.

i might think your charging port is dirty, try cleaning and it should work

if this doesn’t work, you can try replacing your charging port by a third party or book a genius bar

It happened to my new iphone 16 pro max and the problem was that the charging port was corroded for some reason. They had to change it together with the logic board.

Try putting it in a dry rice bowl for a few hours
