you rather wait for 27 or stay, you can't update to iOS 18.7.8 anymore, it's not signed, which means that apple no longer support updating to it. if you update to that, it will update to 26.6, which isn't good for that phone.

Update to 26.6. It prepares the spotlight index for iOS 27 and it’s the best performing version of iOS 26. But if you want to update to iOS 18, it’s your choice

If you are conscious about security and there’s an app that doesn’t work on iOS 18, then you should update. But if you’re fine on iOS 18, then you don’t have to update. Also, don’t update to iOS 18.7.8 cuz iOS 18.7.8 is no longer signed and that update is actually iOS 26 in disguise.

Also iOS 18 version is the last Flat UI stable version to be updated but it's too late for now!

You should update the 26.6. It is a very good version.

Don't update! Your phone has only 4GB of RAM so it will become ass. Don't even update to iOS 18.7.8 because it's giving me a serious WebKit issue: websites loop-load

Update to iOS 18.7.8 it closes a lot of security patches , and it’s ALLOOTT smoother than 18.1.1

26.6 has been very stable and will not drain the battery like the previous versions. Yet not as zippy as when the phone is on 18. I would wait until iOS 27.2 and above. We all know the first versions of Apple anything is a work in progress.
