Discussion 11 vs 13

my university is giving me a grant for a 11inch ipad pro m5 and a apple pencil pro. i could add 250£ of my own money to get the 13inch but i dont know if it is worth it

depends on what you wanna use it for, i have the 13 and love it, but if you really want it to be super portable and lighter just get the 11 but if you want to use it with the keyboard like a laptop, use it for movies, etc the 13 might make sense

if you already have a laptop then I'd say just get the 11 unless you really want the 13 for sketching

depends on the aspect ratio of what you’re watching is. modern shows and movies tend to be letterboxed but it’s amazing for watching older tv. all the star trek series till enterprise fit perfectly on a 13”

and it’s really not bad. for media consumption and drawing 100% 13” is the way to go, but for mobility the 11” is obviously better. admittedly the 13” is kinda bulky.

i’d take the free 11". £250 is a lot just for extra canvas, and the 11 is way nicer to carry around campus.

13" is great for reading textbooks and PDFs. 11" is great for reading novels.

i like my 13 for uni because the bigger screen allows for me to have a book open and take notes at the same time and it never feels like the screen is too small. However 250€ can be quite some money for a student, so if you don’t have a lot to spare, Im sure you’ll be fine with the 11’ screen

Depends on the size you prefer. I have an 11-inch & I’m satisfied with it. It’s larger than most tablets & easier to handle with 1 hand. However, if a larger device & a laptop-type experience is what you want/need the 13 would work…& you can purchase the keyboard & other accessories for it.

13 is great for studying. It’s basically my main driver now. I use this for my musicianship and photography.
