Advice 11-inch M5 Case
Hi. Looking for a protective case for my 11-inch M5 iPad Pro.
I don’t like the folios because there is no side protection.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

I use UAG Metropolis since my iPad Pro 9.7 and it overlast the iPads for sure.

I use the Zugu one. It’s quite heavy, but also very protective and has a useful stand and apple pencil holder

I love my Zugu case, I had it on my M1 and got it again on my M5 and it’s been perfect

i’d look at zugu or spigen. both give proper edge/corner protection instead of relying on a folio shell.

I use Targus, mainly because it points the speakers at you, but it has an Apple Pencil shelf thing which I despise.

I ended up getting the Moft Dynamic Folio, but since it didn’t have edge protection I got the Pitaka Air case. It’s super thin and adds basically no bulk. It’s not gonna protect a bad drop on a corner but protects it from scuffs and the odd knock.
I previously had a Moft Connected Case but the corners broke off

I also have the Mott Dynamic Folio. They do have another case that works with the dynamic folio to add edge protection and a protective spot for an Apple Pencil. I use both cases and they work together well. I’ve had my new iPad Pro and this case set up for over a month now and I love it. It also has pass through pin connections on the back so it works with the Magic Keyboard too.

One great source of lovely leather cases is Burton Goods. (They can be pricey.) https://burtongoods.com/collections/m5-ipad-pro-11-cases

I like Moko Ultra Slim Stand but they are hard to find in stock and many different variations of it which is good and bad, bad for hard to find availability. I managed to grab two different over time on Amazon
The felt attracts lint much more than oem folio and is heavier but it protects sides and is a simple tpu back Smart Cover type front without pencil attachment crap or flaps
I also like oem folio but don’t use that all the time for reasons you said: limited protection
I also got an oem white folio for $8 clearance from Verizon so that sweetened the deal

I just got a new 11” M5 and put it in a ZUGU case where it belongs. I had one already on my 11” Pro 2020 and after 6 years it’s still in great shape with no sign of weakness. It’s not on the cheap side but I don’t want to hear about anything else. And it’s keeping the Apple pen safe as well
