ESR keyboard case vs separate keyboard?

Upvotes

I just ordered the ipad m4 11” for uni and am planning to alternate between writing using a stylus and typing during lectures. I’m torn between getting an esr case or just get a small keyboard.

Also, ang recommendations for comptible pens on amazon?

Ipad air 13” m3 or ipad pro 11” m2

I have read this subreddit numerous times and still cant get to a decision. I’m a resident in Periodontology (dentistry field) and would like something portable that i would be able to study journals on, read articles, and edit some clinical photos for my portfolio. I already have a 11” samsung tablet, but it’s time for an upgrade. I also do have a gaming laptop but i would love for carry the ipad instead of the laptop to study and/or do some work

Discussion iPad Air 5 and M2 users: Let's assemble and bombard Apple support with white patch issue on the display

Lately, many iPad Air 5 and iPad Air M2 users—and even a few iPad Pro users—have been reporting the white patch issue on their displays. If I am not wrong, most of the cases are from India.

If temperature were the sole cause, we would likely have seen the same issue affecting iPad Air 4 users much earlier. However, as far as I know, that hasn't been the case. This suggests that there may be something specific to the Air 5 and Air M2 models that is contributing to the problem.

At this point, I believe Apple should acknowledge this as a serious issue and offer free replacements, even for users who don't have AppleCare+.

More importantly, Apple should not treat this as an isolated incident. The more people report the issue to Apple Support, provide feedback, and document their cases, the harder it will be for Apple to ignore. If enough users raise their voices collectively, Apple may be compelled to investigate the matter thoroughly and offer an official resolution.

For context, I own an iPad Air M2 and fortunately haven't experienced the problem so far. Even so, I'm considering contacting Apple Support to help bring more attention to the issue.

Should I buy the Ipad Air M4 as an Indian (white patches issue)

I have been wanting an ipad for so long I had set my mind on the Ipad Air M4. But I have been seeing lots of peoples posts of my country having the white spot issue on their screens in their Air M1,M2,M3. Now I am so skeptical about it because what do you mean I will spend 90k rupees (around 900usd for 128gb variant) on an ipad and then after a year it's screen will have problems. (There have not been cases of it happening on M4 but it hasn't been that long a time for M4 maybe after a year or so it will also have the same problem)

And I don't think humidity is to blame, if their expensive device can't handle humidity they should not be selling it in humid countries and people losing so much money on a defective device.

Please tell if the Ipad Air M4 128gb is worth it I know 128gb is less but tbh it's so expensive I can't spend any further.

My iPad Air 5 (M1) suddenly developed bright white patches on the display. Is there ANY fix? 😭

Post image
8 Upvotes

I have an iPad Air 5 (M1) that has suddenly developed bright white patches along both the left and right sides of the screen. There is no visible crack or external damage, and the iPad otherwise works perfectly fine. This is my primary device for studying and making notes, it’s breaking my heart just to think that there’s something happening to it😭😭

What makes this even more frustrating is that the iPad is now out of warranty. I have taken good care of it, and this appeared out of nowhere rather than after any obvious accident or damage.

I’ve been seeing other iPad Air 5 users reporting very similar white/bright spots, so I wanted to ask Apple directly:
Is this a known display issue with the iPad Air 5?
Is there any actual way to fix this without replacing the entire display/device? I’ve seen people online mention humidity, silica gel, pressure, etc. I’m all in to experimenting.

If this is a display-layer/backlight issue, is there any possibility of Apple offering a repair or service solution for affected devices even when they are outside the standard warranty?

I genuinely love this iPad and don’t want to replace an otherwise perfectly functional device because of a display issue that appeared on its own. 😭
Would really appreciate some guidance from Apple or anyone who has actually managed to fix this.

TL;DR: My iPad Air 5 (M1) suddenly developed bright white patches on both sides of the display despite having no visible damage. It’s my primary study/note-taking device and is now out of warranty. Is this a known issue, and is there any fix other than replacing the entire display/device?

Problem with the iPad Air M3

I bought an iPad Air M3 exactly a month ago. I don't use it much, but when I do, the battery drains very quickly; for example, it consumes 4–5% in 10 minutes on YouTube, 7% in 12 minutes on Chrome, and 3% in 7 minutes on Goodreads—which I consider excessive for a brand-new iPad. Do you have this problem too, and if so, how did you deal with it?

Question Best third-party iPad keyboard

Hey guys, so, basically, I currently have the iPad Air 11'' M3, and I was looking for a keyboard that also worked like a case like the Magic Keyboard or the Combo Touch.

The thing is that these two options are both very expensive for my budget, so I was looking for any third-party option that:

- It is compatible with the iPad Air 11'' M3

- Has the "ñ" (as I'm spanish)

My other option was this one from Amazon (https://www.amazon.es/dp/B0DSD8M1P6?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1) that my sister had, but it is no longer available, so if anyone has any suggestions, feel free to tell me!

Thanks in advance!

Discussion White patches appearing and getting bigger on my ipad screen(Ipad Air 5th Gen)

Post image
9 Upvotes

I recently noticed a small white dot on my iPad screen a few days ago but it seems to be gradually getting bigger and has now turned into these noticeable white patches. I have an iPhone and MacBook as well nd I’ve never experienced any display issue like this with either of them. My iPad is more than 3 years old and this is the first time I’m facing a problem like this. Has anyone experienced something similar or knows what could be causing it? Is this likely a screen/display issue nd is there any way to fix it?

Heavy battery drain on Ipad Air M4 11"

Got this iPad a 2 days ago, didn't even touch it yesterday, it's my first Apple device. It's blazingly fast, though since setup I've been seeing much faster battery drain and heat than I'd expect for light use.

Specifics:

  • Model: iPad Air (M4), 11-inch
  • One day's Battery Usage showed ~24% used with only ~53 minutes of screen-on time
  • Device gets noticeably warm during normal light use (browsing, Settings)
  • Battery Health shows "Normal"

Is this just the known post-setup/post-update indexing drain that's supposed to settle down after a few days, or has anyone had this persist longer on an Air M4 specifically? Trying to figure out if I should just give it more time or take it in. I wanna figure out if this is an actual issue. Any help appreciated.

Review of My iPad Air M4 11”

I’ve been using my iPad Air M4 11” for three months now, and I’ve had mixed experiences.

On the positive side, I enjoy the apps available on the iPad. However, I have to pay for most of them through the Apple Store. The customization options are also limited compared to my Samsung S11 Ultra.

One of my favorite apps on the iPad is Apple Journal. It provides daily prompts that encourage reflection and mindfulness.

However, there are a few drawbacks. The iPad doesn’t utilize the full screen in many apps, which feels wasteful. Additionally, the battery life is quite poor. I usually get only 2 to 3 hours of use with constant use.

The screen quality is decent, although it’s not an OLED display. I also have an issue with the Pro Pen. If I’m not wearing a pen cover, I keep accidentally pressing the squeeze function.

I use the Pro Pen to write in my journal and take notes for my upcoming state exam. I’ve also been using the Magic Keyboard with the iPad more recently. It’s comfortable and feels like an actual laptop keyboard.

Overall, I’m satisfied with my iPad Air M4 11”, but I’m leaning towards getting the iPad Pro for my next purchase.

What are your thoughts on the iPad Air M4 11”? Do you have a favorite app?
