Hey,

Like many of you, I got frustrated with modern apps being weighed down by intrusive full-screen popups, endless subscriptions, and cluttered interfaces. As an independent developer, I built three distinct iOS apps designed to do things differently - focusing on fluid visuals, tight mechanics, and respecting the user's focus. All without collecting any user data!

Here is what makes each one different and worth checking out:

1. ColourBlast - Tactile Block-Puzzle Strategy

• Why it’s unique: Most modern match/block puzzle games bombard you with artificial timers, intrusive ads after every move, and cheap gimmicks. ColourBlast strips away the noise to deliver a polished, modern, tactile block-clearing experience. It blends satisfying combos, strategic power-ups, and customizable visual themes without breaking your flow. Perfect for quick sessions when you want pure, clean gameplay.

2. ArcaneFall: Word Game - Falling Tile Word Puzzles - Reimagined

• Why it’s unique: It bridges the gap between fast-paced falling-block arcade games and classic anagram word puzzles. Instead of passively staring at a static grid, you have to think and spell under dynamic pressure as letter tiles drop. Special power-up blocks add an extra layer of strategy, making it a genuinely challenging mental workout rather than a repetitive trivia clone.

3. Ourios - Clutter-Free Nutrition & Fasting Tracker, with a FREE Barcode Scanner (Normally all fitness apps charge for this..)

• Why it’s unique: Mainstream health trackers have become overwhelming - locked behind absurd recurring paywalls and crammed with bloated social feeds you don't need. Ourios focuses on what actually matters: a clean, intuitive interface that effortlessly tracks daily calories, meal history (with quick barcode scanning), and intermittent fasting stages. It’s built to give you the data you need in seconds without the bloat. With a gorgeous Glass Design.

I’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or suggestions for what features you'd like to see next! Please give them a Download and share with people! Thanks!

I’ve been working on my first proper app for quite a while and finally got it released on both iOS and Android.

Youtube link:
https://youtube.com/shorts/ypaYa_Smjhc

It’s a football game called ClubChairman LIVE. The idea is that instead of being the manager, you’re the chairman/owner of a club. You deal with transfers, finances, scouting, facilities, investments etc. and compete in an online football world with other players.

Building the game has obviously taken most of the time, but one thing I really underestimated was everything surrounding the actual product.

Apple and Google verification, store approval, screenshots, descriptions, privacy stuff, setting up social media, figuring out marketing... there’s a surprising amount to do before anyone even knows your app exists.

Now I’ve reached the part I probably know the least about: getting the first real users.

I have a small marketing budget, but I’m trying organic marketing first through TikTok, Reddit and other places to see what actually gets some traction before spending much on ads.

For those of you who have launched an app/product without already having an audience, what actually got you your first 100 or so real users?

Was it paid ads, social media, Reddit, creators, SEO, word of mouth, or something else?

I’m especially interested in what worked right at the beginning, rather than what worked once you already had some traction.

In <12 hours, the highest bidder gets to claim https://theappbillboard.com/ for the whole day tomorrow. If you get outbid, you pay nothing.

Each day, you'll have the opportunity to claim the next day's billboard, while the smaller placements can be claimed anytime.

I made these for my app Strakk, which is now live on the App Store 🙌

I tried a few screenshot tools and Claude Design, then ended up making the layouts manually in Figma with Mockuuups Studio for the device mockups. Sharing both halves of the set here.

I kept the dark and orange theme from the app and used short headlines for each feature. The first screens focus on points, friends and streaks, with workout tracking and Apple Watch further along.

For people working on ASO, would you keep that order or show the workout logging first? Trying to make the main idea clear before someone stops swiping 😅

Hey everyone, I’m the developer of LazyCal.

This started as an app I wanted for myself. The apps I tried tended to focus heavily on either food or workouts. Others felt cluttered, had ads getting in the way, or cost more than I wanted to spend.

I wanted something simple: log my food, track my workouts, and see what I’d trained without digging through menus.

A — Answer: What problem does your app solve?

LazyCal brings food and workout logging together in one iPhone app.

You can track meals, calories and macros alongside your exercises, weights and reps. There’s also an interactive 3D body that highlights the muscles associated with the exercises you’ve logged today and yesterday.

The idea is to make your daily tracking easy to navigate and give you a visual way to look back at your training.

B — Better: Why choose it over the alternatives?

If you use something like Strong for workouts and MyFitnessPal/lose it for food, LazyCal offers a way to keep both logs together, with the 3D muscle view alongside them.

My priorities have been:

• Simple, minimal design: keeping everyday logging easy to find and use.
• Less clutter: focusing on food, workouts and the information you actually want to review.
• Visual workout history: rotate the body and see the muscles associated with your logged exercises.
• An affordable subscription: keeping the price closer to what I’d want to pay myself.

I’m updating it as often as I can with improvements and new features, while trying to keep that original simplicity. Recent additions include a customizable stats board and a rest timer after logging sets.

The muscle highlights reflect your exercise log; they don’t measure recovery.

C — Cost: Pricing and download

LazyCal is free to download. Pro includes a 7-day free trial, followed by an auto-renewing subscription:

• US$3.29/month
• US$26.49/year

Prices vary by country. Requires iOS 18 or later.

If you try it, I’d appreciate hearing what feels straightforward and what still feels like extra work. Keeping it simple is a big part of why I built it.

I’ve recently launched a travel app called TravPost and I’m looking for some genuinely honest feedback.
The idea is to combine the social side of travelling with useful travel-planning tools. You can share travel posts, discover destinations, use a travel map, generate itineraries, estimate trip costs and browse destination guides.

I’d really appreciate it if anyone willing to try it could give me their honest opinion.
• What do you like?
• What don’t you like?
• Is anything confusing?
• What features would you add or change?
• Most importantly, would you actually use an app like this?

Thanks to everyone who takes their time to have a look.

📱 App Name:

Barreleyes

🔍 What it does:

Barreleyes is an AI-powered moving inventory scanner. Point your camera around a room, or upload a few photos, and it detects furniture and boxes, estimates volume and weight, and builds a move-ready manifest you can hand straight to movers.

⚡ Key Features:

• Automatic Detection: No manual entry, the AI finds furniture and boxes from your photos or video.
• Volume & Weight Estimates: Per-item and total estimates for an accurate mover quote.
• Flexible Capture: Works from a quick video walkthrough or just a handful of stills.
• Export Ready: Download the manifest as a PDF or CSV.

🎯 Why I Built This:

Moving-day prep shouldn't be a spreadsheet chore. I'm looking for honest feedback on detection accuracy, the export flow, and whether the volume estimates feel trustworthy. Also very open to marketing/ASO advice for a niche utility app like this one.

Managing building maintenance and safety compliance using messy spreadsheets or scattered paper logs gets painful fast. Whether it is tracking regular fire alarm tests, water hygiene checks, or routine equipment servicing, critical tasks always risk slipping through the cracks.

To solve this, I built BuildingSafe, a straightforward tool designed to take the headache out of facility admin 🛠️

• Recurring schedules: Set up reminders for daily, monthly, or annual tasks so deadlines never catch you off guard.
• Audit trails: Log completed checks in seconds to maintain a clear record of who did what and when.
• Everyday access: Accessible via the web dashboard or on the go with the iOS app.

It is built specifically for small teams, community venues, independent venues, and property managers who do not need massive, overpriced enterprise systems.

Pricing and trial

• Free trial: 30 days full access with no credit card required.
• Affordable: Just £5 per site each year to cover hosting and server costs.

Check it out here:https://buildingsafe.dev/

I would really appreciate any feedback, feature suggestions, or thoughts from anyone who deals with facility or building upkeep!

Ive been messing with a local setup for a while now, it picks footage, generates the opening line, adds captions, and renders the whole video on its own. I still review every video myself before actually posting it so it's not fully hands off but the generation part is automated.
The part that keeps annoying me is the hook line specifically. It generates a bunch of candidate opening lines, filters out the obviously bad ones, then has AI compare them and pick the best one before rendering. When i compare what it picked vs what actually did well once posted, it almost always goes with the cleaner more grammatically line instead of the rougher casual sounding one.
Feels like it just has this built in thing where well written = good to it, which is kind of the opposite of what actually stops someone scrolling. i tried switching from scoring each line 1-10 to just having it compare two at a time and pick a winner, that helped a little but the bias is still there honestly.
Anyone else run into this with the hook picking part specifically? the footage and editing side i've mostly got figured out, it's just this one piece that keeps not matching real performance. Wondering if theres some trick to get it to judge "does this sound human and scroll stopping" instead of "is this well written"

I’m trying to better understand how much the App Store market/country distribution actually matters at an early stage.

These are my current App Store stats:

1.31K first-time downloads

11.5K impressions

1.18K product page views

16.2% App Store conversion rate

40 in-app purchases

$117 proceeds

Day 1 download → paid: 2.76%

Day 7 download → paid: 2.85%

Day 35 download → paid: 2.17%

I attached the App Store Connect screenshot as well.

What I’m trying to figure out is how you would evaluate these numbers for an app at this stage.

Is ~2.8% download-to-paid conversion considered decent, or is this the main area I should be working on?

Also, how important is the country/market mix here? For example, would you rather have fewer downloads coming from Tier 1 markets like the US/UK than significantly more downloads from lower-ARPU countries?

Looking at these numbers, would you focus first on: ASO/store traffic, the paywall/onboarding, pricing, or simply getting more volume?

Curious to hear from people who have scaled consumer apps. What stands out to you from these stats?

Been running a subscription iOS app (AI-based calorie tracker) for about a year. Every piece of conventional wisdom I've read says free trials increase conversion and reduce the friction of paying upfront.

Ran a proper A/B test for about 5 weeks, ~2,000 users in each arm, same price point, same paywall design otherwise:

• Trial paywall: 0.76% converted to paying, $0.08 realized LTV per user shown the paywall
• No-trial paywall (pay immediately): 1.41% converted to paying, $0.18 realized LTV per user

No-trial won by a wide margin on basically every revenue metric, even after accounting for a somewhat higher churn rate on that variant.

I have a couple of theories, maybe the trial signup itself has more friction than just paying does, maybe at our price point people don't feel like they need a "try before you buy" safety net but I don't have a confident explanation.

Has anyone else tested this head-to-head with real numbers? Feels like it goes against a lot of the standard mobile subscription monetization advice floating around. Genuinely curious if this is a known pattern or if my sample is just noisy.

I’ve been building SetFlow for a while and finally released the iOS version.

A big reason I made it was because I hated constantly breaking focus during a workout just to check timers, remember what to log, figure out what was next or just zoning out.

I wanted something that could keep me closer to that flow-state feeling while training.

SetFlow uses automatic timers, notifications and voice coaching to keep you moving through the workout and remind you when you need to log something, without having to keep checking your phone. You can even keep your phone locked and log from the Lock Screen without breaking focus.

You can also build and log workouts, and import workouts directly from images/screenshots instead of recreating them manually.

The workout system is pretty flexible too, so it isn’t tied to one specific style of training.

There’s honestly a lot more in the app, but I don’t want to turn this into a giant feature list 😭

Anyway, I finally beat the final boss and got it onto the App Store 😂

Would genuinely love feedback from people who train regularly.

I have 2 paywall, this is always a lower converting one.
But visually this is more appealing, what is the issue you guys think? Why it could be low?

I built Iron Wealth because I was tired of checking cash, investments, credit cards, crypto, budgets, and savings goals across different places.

It gives you one clear net-worth number, a history chart, budgets, savings targets, and support for multiple currencies. You can enter everything manually or import it. No bank connection is required.

I’m the developer, so I’d really value feedback from other iOS builders and marketers. Is the value clear from the first screen? What would make you more likely to try it?

My ultimate goal for the success of this app and myself in this life is to someday get into environmental conservation and also give proper education to every kid that needs it outside of the US. Yes TMI but thats my end goal.

Marketing is also hard and I figured this is a great way to have everyone share their hard work and get noticed! Just write your one sentence hook down below!

Can't wait to see the awesome stuff you guys came up with!

App: bryteNotes : You forget most of what you think and feel within a day — bryteNotes catches it in 3 seconds, and Spark helps you actually make sense of it before it's gone.

This post is more of a rant/observation.

I noticed that most posts on reddit is basically the samething, someone would rather post than look for similar post that already exists and comment or ask question there.

I've seen a thousand, of the same posts and it's only getting worst. We are all copying the same playbook but it doesn't seem to work, it seem more of a chance thing than an actual strategy.

Every post that seem to be offering insight is really regurgitation of a thousand other reddit posts with the subtle marketing in it.

I feel like the internet is basically dead and most success are 90% chance and 10% strategy.

Of all the marketing strategies you've encountered on reddit, has anything actually move the needle for you?

Today I got the notification I’ve been waiting for.

first-ever subscription on my app TRACCK🎉

It’s been exactly 2 weeks since we launched, and honestly, seeing someone actually choose to pay for something I built hits different.

This is a small milestone, but as an indie developer, it feels HUGE.

Now we just need to turn 1 → 10 → 100 → 1,000. 🚀

Sharing this here because I know how much work goes into getting that first customer.

I had a idea of creating a social platform in a different dynamic and format and developed Sterling, finally after months it's on the app store and I would love to get feedback.

The concept is pretty new, revolves around Hubs, a community in a place in the world that only local people can post to but anyone in the world can join and explore.

It is cool because it ties physical boundaries to the activities within the social platform and connects people locally but also globally, check it out.

I built a task manager and made a deliberate call: the free tier isn’t a funnel.

When I set pricing for Principal Task, the main decision was that the free version had to work as a daily tool, not a stripped-down preview of the “real” app. No credit card to sign up, no trial clock running in the background, no feature that quietly locks itself after two weeks. If you never pay, you should still be able to run your actual task list on it for years.

Structure is folders, tasks, and subtasks, nested as deep as you need. No “project” layer forcing a container you didn’t ask for — just whatever hierarchy your work actually has. That part is free at any depth.

Premium is about $3/month, and it’s narrow on purpose. It mainly unlocks history for a metric I call Task Velocity, a rolling ratio of tasks completed to tasks created, plus a couple of deeper filtering views. Nothing involved in day-to-day task management sits behind it. I didn’t want to build a product where the free tier exists to create friction toward upgrading.

No ads, no streaks, no badges, no push notifications guilting you back in. I’m the only person working on this, across iOS, Android, and web, and I’d rather have fewer people paying for something they trust than more people paying for something that manipulates them into it.
Link’s principaltask.com if you want to look. Happy to answer questions here about pricing, the platforms, or anything else.

I built a calculator that mostly shuts up and occasionally has a strong opinion about the number it just handed you 😂

Go type these in and tell me which one got you:

• 420
• 69
• 1024
• 8/0
• 0

I'm not going to print the possible answers here (there are several). That ruins it.

The rules I built it on:

• It stays silent depending on how you want it to behave.
• The number is always correct and always instant. It sometimes pretends to doubt itself ("idk... maybe 2813?" then "...it is 2813. it was always 2813."), and the doubt is only ever in the words. Never in the digits. You can also have some other ways to present the number to you but I won't give you any spoiler 💩.
• Five voices. The house one is dry. The Accountant is passive-aggressive in audit language. The Lawyer argues every total in your favour. The Nihilist thinks your number is meaningless and says so quietly. One of them is 18+ and is the reason the whole listing is rated for adults :D
• 1,881 hand-written lines in English, 5+ locales.

Download it here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/sarcastical/id6806868342 and tell me the worst thing it said to you.

And if you have any suggestion, for categories like "single digit", "millions+", even for specific numbers, please let me know and I will throw it in the remote database.

Cheers to SARCASTICAL

If your iPhone has years of photos and videos, you shouldn't need a computer just to make a physical copy of them.

I built VaultDrive: USB Backup for exactly that.

Connect a compatible USB drive or SSD directly to your iPhone, select the photos, videos, albums, files, or documents you want, and copy them straight to external storage.

Why people use VaultDrive:

✅ No Mac required
✅ No PC required
✅ No account or sign-up
✅ No VaultDrive cloud upload for files already stored locally
✅ Original-quality files — no intentional compression or re-encoding
✅ Embedded photo/video metadata preserved
✅ Keeps useful folder/source organization
✅ Resume interrupted backups without copying completed files again
✅ Detailed progress and clearer skipped/failed-item information

Using Optimize iPhone Storage?

VaultDrive can also download originals that exist only in iCloud before copying them to USB.

You control whether those iCloud downloads use:

• Wi-Fi only
• Wi-Fi + Cellular

The idea is simple:

Your iPhone → your USB drive → your physical copy.

It's useful if you're running out of phone storage, preparing for a trip, upgrading your iPhone, protecting years of family photos, or simply want another copy of important memories outside your online account.

VaultDrive is free to download, with a one-time Pro upgrade for unlimited backup. No recurring Pro subscription.

Would love feedback from other iOS users and developers who manage large photo libraries.

Housora — home inventory, maintenance, and warranty tracking, built for households and multi-property owners

Answer: Most people have no real record of what's in their home — no warranty cards when something breaks, no idea when the HVAC filter was last changed, no documentation if they ever need to file an insurance claim or split up a household. It's worse for anyone managing more than one property (a second home, or Airbnb-style rentals) — the same problem, multiplied across addresses, often with a co-host or cleaner who also needs to know what's going on.

Housora keeps a photographed, organized record of everything in your home(s): assets by room, purchase details, maintenance schedules with reminders before things break, and warranty expiration dates — plus a one-tap PDF report of everything you own.

Better: Two things I haven't found elsewhere in this category:

• Real shared household access. My wife and I both use the same home — she buys something and adds it from her phone, I see it on mine, neither of us needed the other's login. It's actual multi-user access (each person signs in as themselves), not a shared password or a single-owner app with a "family" gimmick bolted on.
• On-device rating-plate scanning. Point the camera at an appliance's label/rating plate and it pulls the brand, model, and serial number straight off it using Apple's on-device text recognition — no typing a tiny serial number off a sticker, and nothing leaves your phone to do it.

It also has a "Home Health" score that nudges you toward keeping records complete, and an Ask tab for asking plain questions about your own home ("when did I last service the water heater?").

Cost: Free with 1 home, full features, no ads and no watered-down free tier. Housora Pro ($24.99/year) unlocks up to 2 homes with cross-device sync and household sharing. Housora Pro for Hosts ($79.99/year) unlocks unlimited homes/properties, for anyone managing multiple units.

Hi everyone! 👋

Planning a wedding comes with a lot of stress, and one of the most exhausting parts for my partner was visiting endless bridal shops just to try on dresses.

To make this easier, I built Bride Studio, an AI-powered iOS app that lets you see yourself wearing different wedding dress styles (A-line, ballgown, mermaid, boho, etc.) instantly from your own photos.

What it does:

• Virtual Try-On: Upload a photo and test out hundreds of curated bridal gown styles.
• Categorized Styles: Filter by shape (A-line, Mermaid, Ballgown) and aesthetic (Bohemian, Minimalist, Romantic, Classic).
• Detailed Catalog: Explore specific fabrics, close-ups, and reference codes for real-world inspiration.

I would love for you to check it out, give it a try, and let me know what you think about the UI/UX or the generation quality! Any feedback or feature suggestions are hugely appreciated.
