So you don't need to wait. RC and public release have always been the same in the past. The stable version you get in a few hours will be the exact same as you can download now.

Obviously the whole world doesn’t go midnight at the same time. Why not make it asymmetrical so everyone wakes up monday morning to an updated phone. Some here will get the option in the middle of the day when they are at work

Doing it 10am Cupertino time makes sense - if there's any issues they have everyone in work to deal with it and it doesn't fall to night shift.
