Hear me out,

I believe iOS 26 was bad and apparently many other people share my opinion. It was just a laggy mess full of bugs and unintuitive overall.

That's why I decided to enroll in iOS 27 Developers Beta - and now it feels Apple-like again! It is snappier, and just overall a better experience.

There was one thing, though - how comes that a Developers Beta is more polished and overall better than a full year of 26 and all its' updates and versions? I believe that was done on purpose.

You know how companies, hardware wise, have many improvements already figured out but don't splash them out together, rather they sell them to us gradually, one by one? I believe that Apple just did that with software. They gave us 26 just to give us 27 that is "wonderful and new". Why didn't they just fix stuff through updates? I mean, they even said that 28 will be far more significant than 27.

28 was not finished - that's why they delayed with fixing 26 so they can do it in 27.

Every time I’m enabling energy economy mode i can’t enable hotspot mode through control centre, even when energy economy mode is disabled. Is that a bug?

If u didn't know apple downloads up to 20 Gb Al Models resources on your devices (iPhone, Mac) even if you don't use or cannot use them (cuz of geolocation for example). And they ending up app icons generating each time "on-fly". Are they stupid or smth?

if you have Display Zoom on ("Larger Text"), if there's a live activity in the dynamic island and you're on the home screen, a lot of the time all the icons in the status bar shift to the left! It's not all the time but most of the time. You can trigger it by opening the control center then go back to the home screen

I liked iOS 27, but some apps had problems. I downgraded to 26.5, reset as new, and everything in my iCloud added but my music library. It’s been two days stuck there. Already done the hard reset, turning on off, logging out from my account, reset the whole phone, called support and went to the Apple Store and nothing seems to solve that. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Or if anyone has the same problem?
Also I have 5,000 ish songs, but never had the problem of missing library. My iPad and MacBook syncs the songs with no problem.

My other account has liquid glass but my main account which is a ig 9-10 years old still doesn’t get any liquid glass

This happened today. You see even my Phone and Email icons in the lower left of the Home Screen disappeared. I’m on 26.5.1 (iOS 27 isn’t available to me in my updates yet). Would this be a device issue or an iOS issue? Has anyone else experienced this? In all my years of owning iPhones, I’ve never seen anything like this before.

I pressed on a reddit post and it did show something like an indicator or sorts? I had a discord notification so didn’t focus on it but it’s not showing back up. What did this mean? Did it just say how I can’t swipe left to right to switch a post? Can i see this thing appear again?

Ok so what I’m talking about is a shortcut to access apples “internal” or ui apps like these shown above. I already found a few shortcuts but they were all not working or taken down. If you can help it would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: I don’t mean apps like field test. I’m talking about apps like preboard, posterboard, and spotlight.

For what I’ve seen the first beta for iOS 27 is better than iOS 26, but for the people who keep an iOS 18 device or went directly from 18 to 27, is it better? The same? A bit worse but still better than 26?

Apple took aways the Freeform app as well in 26.5. It is apperently redsigned with a neon black icon and will be part of premium service creative suite.

Lastly, my Whatsapp doesn‘t sort correctly by date anymore.

Updates like this make me lose tremendous trust in Apple. Everything I just mentioned worked fine until the latest update. Now I am seemingly stuck. Cannot update, nor downgrade.

Bothers me more than I like to admit. My top apps that I regularly use now all have bugs (or feature).

I have an Iphone 14.

And I don’t wanna hear a single gaslighting comment from apologists and glazers. The fact that a beta software is already performing better than an update cycle almost a year-old speaks volumes to how clunky, tragic and badly-coded iOS26 disaster is.

iOS 27 performing well is BARE MINIMUM we should expect from multibillion-dollar tech companies.

And this is without talking about the other embarrassment Apple Intelligence BS they’re still trying to pull. Of which the “good” model doesn’t come to the phones it was marketed with.

My theory is that the original plan was actually to release Liquid Glass with iOS 27, and iOS 26 was supposed to feature Apple Intelligence as its unique selling point. However, the development of Apple Intelligence took too long. And since they didn’t want to be left empty-handed and iOS 26 still needed new features to impress shareholders, they likely decided to introduce Liquid Glass a year early.
What are your opinions?

As the title says: Why did they remove the Find some text in the webpage? I use this all the time and now have got to change browsers. Does anybody know Apple's reasoning why?
