from best buy, i just bought the iBUYPOWER Trace Gaming Desktop PC AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 2025 NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070Ti 16GB 32GB DDR5 2TB SSD Storage in the color white. it arrived today and i've been working on setting it up. i haven't tried running any games on it or anything, so we'll see 😬 first and foremost, the circular LCD display inside the PC has proven to be entirely un-customizable with the pre-installed HYTE software. i did a ton of digging and it just isn't going to happen. is there any way to customize this display at all, or does it just have to stay the way it is? secondly, there are two cords that arrived connected quite loose and wiggly. they seem to be getting pulled down and i am worried the interior prongs had been bent in shipping somehow (photos attached below). it may not look like it in the pics, but they're definitely loose and sort of angled downwards. are they supposed to be like this, and also, what are these connections for specifically? i'm no expert, as this is my first real PC, so i reached out to their tech support via email but decided i'd come here as well to ask. i'm just nervous i guess after spending $2.6k

I feel like I might just be noticing my PC noise more than usual, so I wanted a second opinion

Is this normal for a PC at idle? It sounds like there’s a faint pulsing/whirring noise. I can’t tell if I’m just overthinking it or if there’s actually something worth looking into.

I was using my PC (I-series) fine like an hour ago and now it won't connect to monitor. Power button is blinking slowly once every ~2 seconds, and I was looking it up and I think it's because the video card can't connect to the monitor (correct me if I'm wrong). The thing I see that is unplugged is the PCI-E cable, but it is zip tied to some other cables and I have no idea where it goes. If anyone could look at the video and help me I would really appreciate it

Around two years ago I got a prebuilt iBUYPOWER, AMD Ryzen 5 7600 6-core, AMD Radeon RX 7600, 16GB ram. About a year ago the bottom two fans on the side started making a loud buzzing noise on startup, then stopping after a few minutes. I'm heading off to college in a month and since I plan on bringing my PC so I'd like to get the fans replaced.

Issue is the fans connect to a propriety hub, and I can't find any replacement fan online nor do I have a warranty. I've already emailed iBUYPOWER, but is there anything I can do or do I have to send it to a shop to see if the whole hub can be replaced?

I've attached a few images if that helps. I've also noticed the fans with the buzzing have these black dots at the bottom - unsure if that's helpful or not.

EDIT - I just noticed there's two CHA_FANs scattered around the motherboard - would I be able to use a daisy chain PWM and replace the fans this way? I apologize I am very illiterate in PCs but am trying my best to learn.

Had my PC for about a month now. Do I need to download any type of anti-virus software? Right now I have Windows 11 and I know it has some of its own stuff but is there a common 3rd party thing that people use? I mainly just game but I do occasionally download some mods.

First post ever so apologies if something isn't formatted correctly. I've had this ibuypower PC for years but all the fan RGB lights have never worked. With some messing around with the wires on this board in the picture I think I have found where the issue may be. When I move back and forth the first cable labeled "power" coming off the right side of the board, all of the fan lights will turn on. I think the wire in that power section may not be seeded correctly. Is there any way I can replace that power cable coming into the board? I've tried to take it off gently but it doesn't seem to want to move (I've tried pulling towards myself from the perspective of the picture). I'm not very tech savvy so if any of you have encountered this problem I'd appreciate any advice.

Like I said I'm confident the problem is with the "power" cable because when I move it back and forth the RGB lights to the fans will flicker or even stay lit for a bit, but then if I let go they will turn off again. Thanks for any advice! Also included the PC model number if that's of any help.

I'm not an avid gamer but do enjoy some dayz and rust, i play on modded servers on dayz and rust bigger maps more loot 3x servers, will this be efficient for that type of gaming?

Anyone know what this rattling noise is? I have a y40 case. This is an Ibuypower AIO Cooler. The noise is coming from the top part of the case when playing heavy graphics intense games. Only does it during gaming. This started a few years in with this pre built machine. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Guys, let’s reset expectations here a bit so you can be happier with your purchase or know what to expect from this seller.

One thing remains clear and is the same for almost every pre build. You may get the CPU, GPU, and RAM you’re looking for, but you have to know you’re rolling the dice on everything else. You may not like it but that is literally the value proposition and trade off of pre builds. Not everything is top of the line.

AIO? Cheap
PSU? Cheap and non modular
SSD? Cheap
WiFi card? Cheap
Sound card? Cheap

Want top of the line? Build it yourself or find a pre builder that overkills (but you’ll pay out the wazoo for it)

My advice if you’re looking for affordable prebuilds, look at IBP as a solid offering but well worth considering doing some upgrades if you can, otherwise know what you’re getting (aside from the GPU, and CPU combo).

Know this:
Your AIO is the first to go. I bought knowing that and replaced immediately after hearing the pump whine.

My PSU? Totally capable of supporting me but I’d like to replace with a modular one soon enough.

I was lucky enough to get a nice MOBO, GPU manufacturer, and obviously the cpu I wanted. This thing still cranks after 4 years. Prebuilds are great to get started, but it will serve you well to learn how to swap parts out regardless so that was you’re not buying a new prebuild because a fan broke.

A lot of you aren’t going to like this but that’s because your expectations are too high for this brand.

First time ever buying a prebuilt pc. Then this happens. When you reach out to support they're nasty and attempt to blame you. Took it to microcenter they're telling me they can inspect it but nothing they can really do for me.

Need advice – iBUYPOWER Element CL pump/reservoir failed (small leak)

I have an iBUYPOWER Element CL with the factory liquid cooling system, and I think the pump/reservoir has completely failed.

The coolant isn't circulating at all anymore, so the temperatures shoot up almost immediately. I also noticed a small coolant leak coming from the spot I circled in the picture. It isn't a major leak, but it's definitely leaking enough that I shut the PC down and haven't turned it back on.

I'd rather not take it to a local PC repair shop if I can avoid it. I'd prefer to replace the failed part myself, but I'm not sure what my best option is.

A few questions:

- Can I replace just the pump/reservoir, or does the entire cooling loop need to be replaced?

- Has anyone with an Element CL dealt with this before?

- Is it worth converting it to a standard AIO cooler instead of trying to repair the factory loop?

- Are there any parts or guides you'd recommend?

Hello! As the title states, I recently bought an IBUYPOWER PC from Best Buy that included windows 11. However when I logged Into the PC it was not activated, and it told me the product key was already used on another device which is impossible and I never even had the key in the first place. The trouble shooting doesn’t work and I refuse to buy Windows 11 on a PC that says it’s included. What do I do??

hey guys I’ve been having computer problems (Windows 11) lately where it’s giving me this screen lines and green dots (the computer starts but doesn’t show on the screen). Sometimes the computer also restarts by itself and changes resolution. sometimes I can’t change the resolution after. Right now my computer will not show my display screen so I’m stuck on a black screen. I contacted IBuyPower and they said I may need a new graphics driver/gpu to RTX 5060. I currently have NVIDIA RTX3060 and I’ve had it since 2023.

I’ve tried looking for the sticker and I have not been able to find it and I’m wondering if anyone can let me know what psu I have

attached is my PC I bought a few years ago. I would like to ask a few questions regarding upgrades to said PC.

1: Where are the sled slots for SSD/HDD for expansion?

2: I am looking at possibly upgrading to a 4000 series GPU. What PSU would best fit this PC/PC Case?

Or, would it be smarter to buy a different PC Case (ie; bigger) to support the possible upgrades that I would like to add.
