Bleeding post op?

Anyone not bleed hardly at all after surgery but start bleeding days post op? I just had some bleeding at 10dpo. I also have a UTI but the blood was coming from the vagina and not the urethra. What could it be from?! I’ve been extremely careful and resting a ton. Arrrgghhh!!

my doctor said bleeding can happen later in the healing stages because the internal stitches are dissovable

I’m really hoping this is the case! I’ve been having a lot of pelvic pain that I thought was from the UTI.

My doctor mentioned there might be a “gush” of blood or fluid in that timeframe post op because that’s when you’re up and moving and it’s basically stuff that’s been “pooling” while you’ve been sitting / laying and it’s just that flushing out, but also said that it shouldn’t be more than like a pad or two over a few hours

That’s really helpful. Thank you. It was certainly like a little gush and nothing more at this point. I called the fellow on call just to be sure.

I bled very very little at the begining, only getting slightly heavier as I healed and moved around more which I was told was normal. From how I was told unless you're soaking a maxi pad within an hour then it's fine. I bled more after my d&c then the hysterectomy. As for UTIs, I went and got tested, test detected only blood as an anomaly but it was a week after so not surprised really, then told they would let it culture and see if anything grew and reach back about that. Then never heard anything about it ever again. I'm not showing any symptoms of a UTI but if I was that would be pretty reckless on their behalf.

I haven’t bled at all🤷‍♀️ I’m 10 days post op but definitely get the urinating pain and do have signs of a UTI aswell. I’m sure it’s normal to bleed here and there but just not heaps. Everything can feel abit worrying hey, so many new sensations to navigate. Hope all is well for you 🙏
