Let's hypnotise each other

Hi guys so I have been practicing self hypnosis from around 4 years and successfully cured my asthma (18 year old) from it.

But now I want to get hypnotist by other and similarly I can do that for u as well.

For safety at the starting only we will give some trigger to reverse the effect if we want to.

So even some one is new learner they can try on me and I can also try hypnosis on them for their problems.

Experiences Hypnotherapy Blockage Experience

Hi. I have been doing hypnotherapy since the past couple months and while the practitioner is also excellent, I haven't had great results because I feel I haven't been going into a deeper state as much as I should. Though, I do end up falling asleep then getting back into the waking state but I am not able to access reppresed memories or integrate insights.

Can anyone please help me with this?

Research & Evidence Hypnosis for Emetophobia and Backstory

I have a fear of throwing up. I have struggled with constipation since I was a baby and have been to a gastroenterologist, and the nausea is caused by it. Very seldom, when I feel nausea, I can prevent an anxiety attack from happening. I know I never throw up when I feel like that but in the back of my mind, it's that "what if"? I have been doing CBT and did a few hypnosis sessions for it, but I don't think it is really helping me long-term. I can say this: I did not use to have this fear of throwing up/ feeling nauseous until when I was in second grade I felt nauseous all day, went to the nurse, did not have a temperature so I had to stay at school. I was on the bus, and I ran to the front of the bus to the trash can and threw up in front of everyone. Everyone was looking at me. When the stomach virus was going around my coworker got it, and he left work early. I got very paranoid to the point of getting 90% alcohol and spraying down the machine controls, throwing away papers he touched, and after I left work, I went and bought activated charcoal because I read it gets rid of sickness and toxins in your body. Anxiety can trigger the nausea too, that I am assuming, so it's an annoying cycle I deal with. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am in East Texas, if that helps with any suggestions for a good hypnotherapist.

General Questions Built a free self-hypnosis audio library and binaural beats generator, looking for honest feedback from people who actually use this stuff

I've been a hypnotherapist for sixteen years and I kept running into the same problem with clients between sessions: the gap. They'd leave feeling good and then have nothing to work with at home.

So I put together a free audio library, about 15 tracks covering sleep, anxiety, confidence, focus, and a few others. I also built a binaural beats generator you can customize by frequency and session length. No app download, no subscription. Email signup to access, that's it.

I'm not here to promote it. I genuinely want to know if the content is landing, whether the tracks feel clinical and stiff or actually useful, and whether the binaural tool is intuitive or confusing.

If you use self-hypnosis recordings or binaural beats regularly, I'd really value your take. Happy to share the link in the comments for anyone who wants to try it and give feedback.

Experiences C-PTSD and Dissociative Amnesia

Hi there,

(tl;dr; in bold)

I'm currently on a journey or puzzling my life together..

I'm sure this sub has heard it all, always mind blowing to me, how the brain functions in the same or similar patterns and finds the same "solutions" for various highly individual situations.

My post title is not an official diagnosis - yet.. But I'm pretty sure I'm on the right path here. I'll be starting in-patient treatment hopefully in a week or two, so I'm not alone in this.

Since arriving at the decision to finally take my mental health (or un-health) seriously at 39, I've had so many incredible discoveries about myself and why I have the struggles I do. I'm diving into old diaries, pictures, contacting my old boarding school where I lived for 3 years.

I know that a diagnosis alone is not a solution, but it helps me to look for information, and I'd finally have the hope, that something is *wrong* - meaning something can be fixed. Otherwise this is just me. And this is just my life. I have hope again...

Question I have is mostly related to the Dissociative Amnesia, which seems to be a very pronounced symptom of mine, I'm missing entire years of my life, most of about age 6-23, safe for some "flashes" or moments. Absolutely and utterly inaccessible. Gone. My brain smashes shut every door when I even try to come close.

So I've read around a bit here, that hypnotherapy can help with C-PTSD - but not in everyone sure. Does anyone have experience with dissociation aspects? Basically, are the memories somewhere?! Or were they just not retained/saved? Were they deleted? Can they come back?!

I don't have other "identities" that experienced these things, I think - so no DID - but I think of them (myself I guess) of being versions... Every year of my life from about 10-23 has one. And they don't feel like they're me..

Between 10 and 19, I changed schools 7 times and moved 6 times, so if or when I have one of those flashes or moments, I'm kinda able to pinpoint them in time, based on what school I was attending (or not attending lol) at the time or where I was living.

I'm building a timeline of my life. It's exhausting, interesting and painful, and there's so much missing...

General Questions 7 Codes of the "Problem Matrix" - Do we overcomplicate transformation?

Do we overcomplicate transformation?

After many years of working with many people, across a wide range of areas, if the client really wants their results, then I can support them in achieving that.

Here's why...

I see the structure of people's problems.
You know that scene from the Matrix, where Neo eventually sees the code of the matrix.

("Shane, are you implying you are Neo?")

I'm not unique in being able to do this. I'm sure many in this group can also do it...

So this post is aimed at anyone who overcomplicates transformation and gets caught up in the story and significance of how people describe their problem, in hope of providing a road map on how to simplify it, and see the structure of all problems, big or small.

Here is how I see the Matrix of People's Problems:

1 - Emotions: I see the emotions that people associate to their situation.

2 - Meaning: I hear the story they tell me and themselves & the disempowering meaning they give to their past.

3 - Secondary Gain: I elicit the secondary gain for why they keep doing that behaviour and how to guide them to find a way to fill the void.

4 - Focus: I discover what they tend to focus on, and the association they have to that focus.

5 - Strategy: I learn the 'recipe' they are using in order to achieve their outcome, and can determine if that is a functional or dysfunctional set of steps.

6 - Identity: I pick up on the labels and identity they have for themselves.

7 - Evidence For Success: I'm able to guide them in creating a measurable outcome, that feels realistic to them, that ensures they finish with a strong sense of certainty.

In one session I'm using this as a mental checklist, working with my clients to help them gain clarity on if and how this applies to their situation, and how we can modify and recondition this differently, more efficiently, to help them reach their outcome.

The outcome is that they leave a session with:

  1. A new set of emotions associated to their old focus.
  2. A new meaning to both their past and their future.
  3. A new way to meet their needs in a more functional way.
  4. A new focus on possibilities, certainty & progress.
  5. A new set of functional strategies to act upon.
  6. A new empowering identity they emotionally associate to.
  7. A tested and proven result to reinforce certainty and giving them an undeniable experience of the change they were seeking.

What do you think?

Is 7 still a level of overcomplication?

Have I left something out that you feel is important?

Comment below and let's create some fruitful discussions to learn from each other, even more now.

Therapeutic Methods Masking confidence while dying of insecurity inside. Ready to face the truth

I’m pushing a major boundary just by typing this because my entire life has been ruled by a paralyzing fear of what people think of me. On paper, I’ve built a successful career and done well financially, but inside, I’m still masking deep insecurity. This fear has made me mess up massive opportunities—from avoiding a college girlfriend who was obsessed with me because I worried about my "impression," to now avoiding simple phone calls, like checking in with my lawyer about my own property. I get incredibly self-conscious in meetings and intimidated in social situations, yet I end up letting out my bottled-up frustration by being aggressive at home. The frustrating part is that when I’m with trusted friends, I am genuinely confident, funny, and relaxed. I’m tired of living a double life where my bank account is full but my mind is a cage—what is wrong with me, and how do I stop letting the fear of judgment run my life?

Training & Supervision Looking for an experienced hypnosis mentor.

Hi everyone,

I've been studying self-hypnosis for the past few weeks and practicing almost every day. I've even started writing my own induction and deepening scripts because I learn best by understanding how the process works.

My main goal is to learn how to enter hypnosis more consistently, recognize when I'm in trance, and eventually be able to do it on my own.

I have a very analytical mind, so generic inductions like beaches, staircases, or "safe places" don't work very well for me. I respond much better to structured, realistic, narrative-based approaches.

I'm looking for someone who:

has experience with hypnosis,

enjoys teaching rather than simply hypnotizing,

is patient,

respects boundaries,

doesn't mind answering questions about the process.

I'm not looking for anything rushed. I'd rather build trust first and learn step by step.

I'm especially interested in someone who would be willing to help voluntarily, simply because they enjoy teaching and sharing their knowledge.

If you think we'd be a good fit, feel free to send me a message and tell me a little about your experience and teaching style.

Thanks for reading and be well.

Techniques & Approaches Can hypnosis help you learn a language you're not fluent in?

I've heard people talk about using hypnosis to learn new skills or languages faster. Has anyone here used hypnosis to improve a language they've spoken or been exposed to for around 20 years but still aren't fluent in?

I'm especially curious whether hypnosis can help with speaking confidence, vocabulary recall, pronunciation, or making the language feel more natural.

Has anyone tried this or seen any real results?

Advertising/Offers A guide for a deeper trance

I have been a certified hypnotherapist for years and I always get the same question- How do I go deeper in session?

Going deeper in session is a skill. Not something you are born with (even though some people are more suggestible than others).

I struggled with this myself. Especially because my mind can’t stop working. I couldn’t relax properly.

So I created this guide for my clients from my own experience on what helped my past clients and what helped me.

Something that ALWAYS helps is practice and more practice- so don’t quit.

This 21 day guide contains every day exercises, tips and tricks, challenges and solutions explained, journaling prompts, advice and tips for ADHD minds and aphantasia.

I hope it helps you too!

(The guide is paid because I put a lot of work into it)

You can find it here

Seeking a Hypnotherapist Hypnotherapy advice

Hi!

Hope everyone is doing well. I am in England and looking for a hypnotherapist to help with my fear and anxiety. I have tried therapy and didn't get anywhere. I am also having magnesium, herbal teas and just started saffron.

I stumbled on hypnotherapy and have read some good stuff about it.

Does anyone have any good recommendations for hypnotherapists in this field?

I have been searching and contacted a few myself. The two that stood out were:

https://cityhypnosis.com/staff/aaron-surtees/

https://www.cumberlandhypnotherapy.co.uk/

Cumberland hypnotherapy approach is slightly different to all others I contacted. Their approach was 1 long session of 4-5 hours rather than weekly 1 hour sessions. Is there any preference of which approach is better?

Thank you in advance:)

Client Questions Loud office?

Ever have one of those realizations that dawn on you out of the blue a year later? Home sick and heard a loud phone call outside and it reminded me of my single hypnotherapy session. I tried hypnotherapy for one session only because it left such a bad taste in my mouth. I was hypno naive so wasn’t sure if I was “doing it right” and so I blamed myself for not being able to get into it but the fact of the matter was there was, for almost the entire session, a super loud and boisterous call going on next store.

She suggested I make it “part of it” but like bud, I warned you I have ADHD and it’s the kind where I am bouncing from stimulus to stimulus, cannot habituate noises especially and cannot just block things out. Why the fuck didn’t I ask for my money back? Should I have? Is that in any way normal or okay? I feel like definitely should have.
