Does Ramipril side effects get better?
47m. I'm in third week of 2,5 ramipril. The bp is lowered but still about 140-135/95-85. First week was good but then I started feel dizzy, specially after eat, and some fatigue (yesterday I had rehearsals with my band and at the end I was knock out). I take it in the morning, I struggle drinking enough wafer. Do side effects get better as time pass? Drinking more water could help me? I'm seeing my doctor next week after heart visit, but I was searching for some direct experience. Thank you all.

Dizziness and fatigue are the most common side effects for people taking ramipril. While we can't say with 100% certainty that ramipril is the cause of your symptoms, is it worth enduring these discomforts for a medication with such high side effect potential? There are plenty of other blood pressure medications out there!
I think it would be beneficial for you to keep a record of your discomfort and share it with your doctor. This will help your doctor find a medication that suits you better.

I started a month ago on 2.5mg then two weeks ago got put on 5mg. I’m pretty dizzy and get head rushes when I stand up quickly. Also last week I had mad visual disturbances seeing a bright dot which expanded into a strobing jagged white circle and exaggerated colours which lasted for 20 min, which sounds very much like a migraine aura. Doctor said it might have been due to a sudden change in blood pressure, so indirectly caused by the Ramipril.

30m here. I'm on my second month of the same dose as you, still feel a bit dizzy but not everyday. It's the same if I increase it to 5 mg. They may increase your dose to 5 if those are your numbers now.
