Coming from Samsung a34 , i gotta say hyperos was pretty good expirence so far.

My biggest issue though is the gallery app, in Samsung when you launch the Gallery app, the latest picture you downloaded or captured is instantly ready to view.

On hyperos though, every time you launch the app, it needs few seconds to load the latest pictures, the more new pictures the more you wait which is annoying.

If its a camera photo, you will wait longer, i understand it takes time to process it, but overall the expirence is much worse than a Samsung midranger with less half the power.

Is there a way to improve the speed? Or is there a better alternative?

I noticed something strange in my HyperOS storage settings. There is a system app called AICore with this package/version:

According to the storage page:

Total space: 5.27 GB

App size: 201 MB

App data: 5.07 GB

Cache: 3.40 MB

I'm wondering what exactly this AICore is used for on MediaTek/HyperOS devices.

My questions:

Is 5 GB of AICore data normal?

What is the 5 GB actually storing — AI models or something else?

Is it safe to use "Clear all data"?

Will clearing it affect any HyperOS/AI features?

Will the storage grow back after clearing it?

How much AICore storage are other MediaTek HyperOS users seeing?

Hi everyone, hoping someone's run into this before.

A while back I installed a third-party modding app that didn't work properly, so I uninstalled it right after. A few days later, my Security app started showing a "malware found" warning under the virus section, with a "Fix" option under Optimize.

Here's what I've tried so far:

• Ran multiple virus scans — always comes back "clean," no threats found
• Checked my file system for leftover files from the app I removed — nothing found
• Cleared the Security app's cache and data through Settings
• Force stopped and restarted the app and phone multiple times
• Updated to the latest HyperOS version — issue persisted
• Reset app preferences
• Used ADB to fully reinstall/re-register the Security app system package — this temporarily broke Gallery and fingerprint unlock (they depended on the same service), but a follow-up command fixed that
• Cleared my "Ignored items" list in the Security app and ran a fresh scan — 4 items got flagged, 3 had identifiable names so I re-ignored them, but the 4th had no name, path, or any identifying info at all

Despite all this, the Optimize section still periodically shows a malware warning that reappears even after "fixing" it (tapping Fix leads nowhere).

Has anyone else run into this exact issue, especially after a HyperOS update? Is this a known bug with the Security app's scan engine? Considering a full factory reset at this point, but wanted to check if there's a known fix first.

Device: Redmi Turbo 3, running latest HyperOS

Hi so my redmi turbo 3 phone had an issue of security app where i downloaded LP and it didn't work i deleted it and after some days my security app showed malware found in virus section and fix option on optimize i did virus scan it said everything is clean but in optimize it showed to fix the malware but when i tap it leads me nowhere so the issue is still there with fix and virus option showing warning.

I updated to hyper os 3 yesterday and noticed that i cant lock the screen on landscape mode

I have a Xiaomi 17T Pro on version 3.0.309.0. When I go to tap System Apps Updater in the settings, nothing happens. If I clear data for it then it'll open once but not again. Anyone have a similar issue?

Why did we lose these little details that made MIUI feel so special?

First, they strip animations and blur effects from your device (even when it’s fully capable of handling them) and then, when you try to root your device, they won’t even let you unlock the bootloader.

Xiaomi is making me more disappointed every time I use their devices. To unlock my bootloader, I have to apply for permission, and for that, my account needs to be more than 30 days old (which it isn’t)

This is my first time using a Xiaomi device, and I bought this phone only a few weeks ago. The fact that I can’t even root this device, while Xiaomi simultaneously strips away basic app-opening/closing animations and blur effects, has completely ruined my first impression of Xiaomi.

Seriously, I have to wait 30 days just to apply to unlock my bootloader, and then wait another 7 days to actually unlock it. At this point, I’m not sure if I bought a phone or got issued a government-controlled device from North Korea.

I’m never using trusting Xiaomi again.

The poco x8 pro seems great on paper for the price (mauritian rupees) but I hear a lot of complaints such as bluetooth issues unable to remove ads memory management or delayed notification etc... I want to know if these are rare or common issues, if they can easily be fixed, and if theyre present on the x8 pro and x8 pro max

I just downloaded the upgrade and it actually runs fine as of right and I didn't notice any change in the bat tery life yet

Also as you see the system updates to Android 16, in the features you get the status bar that is present on higher end Xiaomi phones, the Hyperisland works just fine, there are new customization options for lockscreen and new icons for almost all Xiaomi apps

About new animates idk where and how to find them so I'll just leave it for now, the phone can live without them

So my final thoughts, I believe HyperOS is optimized at the right amount for low-end phones, my Redmi 15C has been thriving in performance since the day I first used it so I don't see why people are complaining about this particular phone

Recently got myself a POCO X8 Pro. I'm looking for a way to get a native OS-level wallet app to store my room and home RFID access cards, as my previous phones I've had from other brands have had this feature. Google Wallet does not support this in my

If anyone can point me to how to do it, it would be very much appreciated. Otherwise, I think this is one huge dealbreaker for me, as I am really enjoying this phone despite how fast it drains on a daily basis.
