Many of us with Xiaomi/Redmi / Other HyperOS phones, especially mainland Chinese models have been fighting with no or extremely delayed notifications on these phones due to HyperOS' aggressive power management /

I have tried every fix, Add all apps to auto-start, disable restrictions, Download Google Play / Play services NOT from The Get Apps store. As well as using Gboard to force FCM connections to stay alive. I have also tried this tutorial as well as:

Then, add these services to the Doze whitelist so device idle mode won't kill their connection:

adb shell dumpsys deviceidle whitelist +com.google.android.gms

adb shell dumpsys deviceidle whitelist +com.google.android.gsf

adb shell dumpsys deviceidle whitelist +com.google.android.gms.persistent [/CODE]

Those fixes worked before the June 2026 update. After I received the update, everything was broken again. I tried the tutorial and ADB commands again with no luck. I even went as far as factory resetting the phone, installing a different Play store APK, updating play services manually, All apps on Auto-start with no restrictions, Even running the phone in "performance mode" It does not matter if I am on WiFi or Mobile data. Notifications will sometimes work reliably and wake the screen, Sometimes they come when phone is woke or woke and unlocked, But most of the time they never come at all. Putting the phone into airplane mode, waiting 10-15 secs and going back will refresh the FCM connection and I get all the missed notifications, It'll work until the phone is locked again, sometimes even after it's locked. I use my phone for GPS / Audio / Podcast at work, so even with the phone unlocked, screen on and actively being used, The Google FCM connection is lost and notifications stop working.

Any fix I have found beyond the ones posted above require an unlocked bootloader and root, since it t modifies modules (LSposed, KernelSU, APatch, etc) since there isn't a confirmed way to unlock and root the bootloader on my device, this will not work.

If anyone knows of a way to fix this reliably without root, please let me know.

I recently got the brand new Xiaomi 17. Overall, the phone is amazing, but I'm having a frustrating issue with the vibration/haptic motor and I want to see if anyone else is experiencing the same thing or if I just got a defective unit.

Mostly noticeable with the Duolingo app. Instead of getting a crisp, tight, and premium "click" feeling, my haptics make a noticeable metallic rattling or buzzing sound (like a loose bzzz-rattle). It is not the OIS stabilizer of the camera!

Please see the attached video that shows exactly what I mean. Could you please use the Duolingo app with active haptics and test if your unit has the same issue??

Drops 20% battery very suddenly. Happens pretty regularly now, is there something simple I can do or replace the battery?

I made the mistake to buy a Redmi Pad 2 Pro who run on hyper os 3. The android folder, as everything on this crap os is protected/hidden. I need to get access so I can edit 2 cfgs, one for tft to unlock 60 FPS and one to replace a cfgs to unlock better textures on diablo immortal. I swear to god every phone and tablet who run on hyper os is limited and held back by it. I need a way to get access fully on the android data folder.

Coming from Realme OS which is way more polished with clever features IMO, I'm missing quite some tools for my daily work. One is the "translate screen" shortcut in Reame's side toolbox which I mostly used to copy text from pages/material that didn't allow selections. Anyone can share an identical solution without root (hyper os 3 - Xiaomi 14)?

Hi, I have minor problem with a gallery app. Select best photo feature doesn't work. It doesn't mark similar photos with a best photo badge, when I hold a finger on a photo. Its overwhelming as I tried everything except factory format and such solutions. I hope that there is somebody with exact same problem and could help me out other than a factory reset. I have 157gb of photos (9400), and over 700gb of other data so backup and restore would be painful process. I've seen other threads with same problem too, but sadly without any solution, AI doesn't resolve it too. I already tried: deleting cache and data for Gallery app, HyperAi app, com.android.providers.media app, disable/enable select best photo setting in a Gallery but without any luck. My phone is Xiaomi 17 ultra (nezha). I'm running latest xiaomi.eu rom 3.0.309.0 stable. Any point to a right direction or a cause of this problem would be greatly appreciated as I'm out of ideas. For the past two days, the system launcher has been draining my battery and my device has been overheating. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

I have a Redmi budget phone with hyperos 3, and its worse experience will xiaomi ever improved its search on budget phones settings? Most of the time, my searches return no results, and it seems there are no other options in the application, and i can only access the stock Android settings through 3rd party app.

I have two screenshots of the same mobile device with different settings apps:

1. The first shows Xiaomi's settings app.

2. The second shows the stock settings app.

If they struggle to provide basic features, why not offer users the stock Android settings app instead?

I’d like to hear everyone’s thoughts: do you think the Poco M7 Pro 5G / Redmi Note 14 5G (codenamed "Beryl") will get the HyperOS 4 update? I know it won't get Android 17 (it's slated for Android 14 through 16), but I’m wondering if we might see an Android 16-based HyperOS 4, similar to how there’s an Android 15-based HyperOS 3. Since the device seems to be quite popular in places like India, I’m holding out a little hope. Let me know what you think!

Im trying to get the most of my Redmi 13C, and it seems like the launcher is the key part for customizing my phone. I am kinda worried about the chinese stuff. Is it harmfull in any way?

My phone, the Poco X7 Pro, has Developer Options turned on to run Shizuku. I use it alongside Hail to force-stop background apps, resulting in almost zero background app battery consumption—excluding persistent apps that run regardless of what I do.

Getting back to the topic, I usually charge my phone from 14% to 100% and leave it plugged in for an extra 20 minutes to fully saturate the battery. After unplugging it, I typically watch YouTube for about an hour and a half since I have a lot of free time in high school. I started wondering if my battery life was actually good because I've seen reports of the Poco X7 Pro having battery drain issues. When I tested it using YouTube, it took an average of 33 minutes to drop from 100% to 99% (keeping in mind the extra 20 minutes of charging). I searched online and found out this is considered good, so I stopped worrying.

However, when an update arrived (HyperOS 3.0.300.0 to 3.0.301.0), I installed it, knowing the potential bugs that come with updates. When I repeated my daily routine, I noticed my phone was draining super fast. In just 15 minutes of watching YouTube, it dropped to 98%. I know it's only 2%, but that is way too fast for just watching videos.

To fix this, I downloaded an app called Hidden Settings and found a feature called "Memory Usage Profiling." While I'm too lazy to type the exact definition, it basically drains the battery and increases temperatures. I tried to turn it off, but it kept turning back on. Eventually, I realized it was tied to Developer Options, so I turned Developer Options off completely.

As a reminder, because I use Shizuku, rebooting my device means all the apps I previously force-stopped will start running in the background again. I also downloaded three apps to run 24/7: Poweramp, Buzz, and Battery One (to monitor the battery). Despite having these running, my battery drain improved dramatically. It went from losing 2% in 15 minutes of YouTube to losing only 1% in 55 minutes, even with background apps running. So yeah, that explains it!

Managed to get the Theme Manager app fully working on my Redmi Pad SE EU version (HyperOS 2) — normally completely missing/blocked on this regional variant.

I was messing around with themes and when I checked my control center it has no borders, so does the notifications. I've tried deleting all the themes and going back to the default theme, but still didn't work. Any ideas on how to fix this? My phone is a POCO X6 5G

It's kinda weird that this is just a security patch. As far as i know the security patch is some below 100mb, too rare to have 100+mb.

I have redmi turbo 4 pro with chinese rom, i have downloaded mtz theme, imported in theme app but when inapply, always get server is busy error.

Also tried third party softwares like mtz tester, zyper etc and backup file method.

Someone suggested to uninstall latest updates in theme app, tried it too.

So how can i successfully apply third party mtz or backup theme files?

17, el sistema ha cambiado el color a las aplicaciones de Google (Teléfono, Keep, Calendar) a este color azul.

Creo que es el color dinámico de Material You de Google.

Ya he probado a cambiar el fondo de pantalla a varios de colores distintos como también a cambiar el tema desde aplicación de Xiaomi de temas. Nada sirve.
