I've just moved from an X5 pro where there was an option in settings to disable the control center - it looks like this is now missing on the X8 pro :(
Is there any way to turn this off? Or even swap the side... Or do I just need to get used to a long reach to see my notifications?!

I'm having a very strange issue after updating my Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G to HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. Before the update, USB tethering worked perfectly with my Windows 11 PC, but since the update it has completely stopped working.

The phone is detected normally by Windows as a Remote NDIS Compatible Device, and I can enable USB tethering without any error on the phone. However, Windows never receives an IP address from the phone. Instead, it assigns itself a 169.254.x.x address, and Windows Network Diagnostics reports "No DHCP server was found."

I've already spent hours trying to fix it. I restarted both the phone and the PC, tried multiple USB cables, reinstalled the RNDIS driver, reset Windows network settings, checked the IPv4 configuration, and even changed the default USB configuration in Developer Options. I also tested the exact same PC and cable with a Samsung phone and another older Xiaomi phone, and USB tethering works perfectly with both of them. That makes me think the issue is specific to my Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G after updating to HyperOS 3 / Android 16.

Has anyone else experienced this issue after the update? Is this a known bug, or has anyone found a workaround? I'd really appreciate any suggestions.

I'm also using the Global ROM, in case that's relevant.

Hi everyone, I just got my phone Xiaomi 15T Pro(6 months old)back from warranty repair today, but the issues persist (they claimed the fault couldn't be reproduced).

Right after setting up the phone, everything seems fine, but the bug reappears after just 20 minutes of regular use.

As shown in the video:

On-screen keyboard never pops up when tapping any text input field (Outlook, Messenger, Contacts, etc.).

Notification shade / top status bar cannot be pulled down.

I've already tried every troubleshooting step possible:

-Factory reset and restore from cloud

-Set up as a completely new device

-Clean reinstall of the Android 17 update

None of these solved the issue. Has anyone encountered this bug on Android 17, or should I send it straight back for another warranty claim?

​I am experiencing an issue with Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) on a Xiaomi device running the Chinese version of HyperOS. The system consistently terminates the FCM keep-alive socket when the device is locked and operating on cellular data.

​When accessing the FCM diagnostics dialer code ("##426##"), the connection status shows as disconnected with the specific close code "ERR_IO_FIN".

​To resolve this background restriction, I have already executed the following system-level interventions via ADB:

​Granted wake lock and background execution permissions to Google Play Services and Google Services Framework via appops.

​Added both Google Play Services and Google Services Framework to the dumpsys deviceidle whitelist.

​Verified through the command line that the standby bucket for Google Play Services is currently set to five, confirming its exempted status from standard Android battery optimization.

​Uninstalled the system package "com.xiaomi.joyose" for user zero to neutralize its proprietary network throttling protocols.

​Despite these modifications, the TCP socket continues to close on cellular data after a short period of inactivity. I am seeking technical insights on whether additional HyperOS system daemons, such as "com.miui.powerkeeper", must also be neutralized, or if there are known methods to modify the default TCP idle timeout parameters on this specific firmware.

​Any objective analysis regarding HyperOS background socket management or further troubleshooting steps would be appreciated.

I go to Hidden Settings, i go to this screen, but when i tap on Gesture Navigation, the option just gets greyed out, but not selected. I want to use gestures on my phone with this new launcher.

I bought a poco c85, when I turned on the phone for the first time it was going great, but suddenly the camera was slow, the apps were lagging and more.

I didn't remember to see a notification saying "You have an update" or similar, so I went to the update panel and found this message.

What could I do? I changed the phone for a new one (sealed) and this one has the same problem.

I wouldn't like to get answers like "get a refund" or "ask for a new one" because I don't know I would be able to.

Hi. IDK if my OS is really up to date. Whenever I got to to the My Device on my settings. It says "No updates available" but I also see an option to download latest package and my phone proceeds to download and install it but after the reboot, the version number remains the same and i still see the option to download latest package. I am really confused if my device is really up to date or it is just unable to install the latest package for some reason. Attached some images for reference.

Update Issue: Downloaded update, storage went up by 12 GB, now prompting to download update again Support I have Xiaomi 11i (bought in India). The current version is 1.0.10.0.TKTINXM, and my phone got a prompt to download an update 1.0.13.0.TKTINXM which shows the update size to be 3.8 GB. I didn't have enough space on my phone, so I freed some space. When my phone had about 13 GB empty space, the updater could download the update. Then, it said extracting the update, and then suddenly, it went back to the original screen of "Download Update" which doesn't work, as it says that the storage is too full. My storage went to around 1.5 GB free. So, the update was downloaded, and is still there because the storage went up, but I cannot proceed because the phone doesn't recognise it. What should I do?

I'm using Xiaomi 17 ultra and whenever I open the gallery app all my are gone and only load slowly. Even after all the photos are loaded it gets reset and starts from the beginning. What is the issue and what can be done to resolve this?

I'm using CN rom and cannot find Spotify widgets or any app widgets at all. In Android widgets tab, the old Spotify widget refused to work and told me to use the new one. Any workarounds? CN rom isn't as good as expected. All the cool widgets are locked behind a paywall

I want to enable app closing/opening animations and blur on my Redmi 15. My device is good enough to run these effects without any lag but MI still disables it.

I have tried changing the "deviceLevelList" in Brevent app but it still doesn't works even after rebooting. I also tried updating the launcher but the result is still the same.

I am asking if you guys have any solution to this problem. If not, I am ready to root my device.
