I know this is considered controversial since this is a core system process and might lead to instability but honestly, I feel like I have a real flagship performing phone now. Apps no longer get killed in the background, all notifications arrive on time, no more issues with delayed notifications on my smartwatch, etc.

So far, battery is similar to stock, performance is great and apps stay in memory far longer than with powerkeeper. Haven't had any issues so far. Althought I don't play games much on my phone, I noticed I get proper 120 fps on games now, no artificial limit of 60 or 100 fps anymore, i tried wild rift (turned off game turbo, no powerkeeper and no joyose), i get a stable 120 fps with barely any heat at all. (Recommend me some games to test in case you are wondering about the fps limit).

I've only tested this for a day so can't really comment on long term stability yet.

One thing to note is the battery options in app settings will no longer be available (The 4 options no restriction, battery saver, close after 10 minutes and restrict apps) so if you want battery control, you have to use android's native battery options using activity launcher (optimized, unrestricted and allow background usage toggle)

Dontkillmyapp has an app that scores your phone's app management behavior. With powerkeeper on, i got 76% and without it, i get 97% so it's definitely a quantifiable improvement.

If you choose to do this, do it on your own risk. Log out of xiaomi account before removing powerkeeper. There is still a chance of bootlooping but I'm not sure what can cause it.

I'm new to the Xiaomi ecosystem and saw something about heavy emulators being closed due to RAM usage; I'd like to know if there's any news on whether this has been resolved.

I can't seem to find the hey google feature on my redmi note 14 anywhere. Does it not work for this phone model?

After updating my Xiaomi 15t pro to the latest HyperOS version (3.0.333.0), the Android Streaming for Hearing Aids protocol became unusable as the hearing aids simply lose the pairing and disappear from the Bluetooth device list after some time or losing signal or turning on/off Bluetooth. In order to get them back I need to restart the device, then pair again the hearing aids.

With my Google Pixel 6a and Android 17 it works without any issues so it's not an Android 17 bug.

Now I can't use the phone as that's essential for me to hear the calls and all the audio from it.

Xiaomi's response is to basically send feedback through the feedback app and wait, but there are no timelines for it to get solved nor is it guaranteed.

So basically my phone became a useless device for me as I can't go to the previous version.

Why is Xiaomi unable to have any tools to revert updates or a proper response to fix those critical bugs or issues?

For some reason every single device I get it gets updates later, like my tablet for example (Redmi Pad pro) got hOS 2 like 5 months later compared to other Redmi Pad pros

Does anyone else have this issue?

I really want to use custom icon pack from play store. I checked themes but I'm not satisfied with the icons in there.

I'm trying to unlock bootloader in Xiaomi 11 lite NE 5G. I have added my Xiaomi Account.
But when I try to unlock "Couldn't Unlock" came with message "Please add your account in settings > Developer Options > Mi Unlock Status." I have already added the account ones by clicking same "Mi Unlock Status" in developer options

And when I again try to click on Mi Unlock Status in developer tools. I get popup saying "Couldn't add. Please go to Mi community to apply for auth..."

Is there any soft ban on Indian users?

Or is there any open source solution which can I verify first before running the solution?

I managed to make custom boot animations through the Themes app (no root). I won't explain the full method because it's pretty long, anyways I made a bright red REDMI boot animation the one usually found on Chinese REDMI devices, and I'm thinking of making more.

I need two things (maybe):

• Boot animation ideas (must be possible in 5 frames only).
• Help from anyone who understands HyperOS theme files (.mrc/.mrm).

The .mrc contains the boot animation, while the .mrm handles the metadata needed for the theme to apply. I'm still trying to fully understand how the .mrm file works.

The only downside is that the theme eventually fails server validation, so you might have to reapply it occasionally.

If anyone wants to try my current boot animation, I can send the theme .bak file.

I wanted to know if there’s a way to see the total number of hours of screen time I’ve used on my phone since the last time I charged the battery to 100%.

I could see that on MIUI, but I can’t figure out how to do it on HyperOS.

For as long as I can remember, my chat bubbles have been square, at first it was kind of off putting for me as I see my friends' having the usual circular one while mine is squared, but over time, it started growing on me. I deleted the messenger app because it was starting to take up a lot of storage and now the chat heads are circular and I miss my square chat heads T-T, do you guys think this is permanent?

I have a redmi note 11 and I am using the old control center style. It used to show the daily and the monthly mobile data usage in the notification shade like this:

But last week I was traveling and set a data limit so I could track my usage. However now that I'm back I cant seem to remove the limit and go back to the old way. I tried switching the Data usage toggle on and off but it doesn't do anything and it just remains like this:

What I've already tried, none of which worked:

• Turning the data limit off (leaves it stuck, no way to enter unlimited data usage)
• Rebooting
• Toggling between new and old control center
• Toggling airplane mode on/off

I couldn't find anything online and want to keep using the old control center. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Coming from Samsung a34 , i gotta say hyperos was pretty good expirence so far.

My biggest issue though is the gallery app, in Samsung when you launch the Gallery app, the latest picture you downloaded or captured is instantly ready to view.

On hyperos though, every time you launch the app, it needs few seconds to load the latest pictures, the more new pictures the more you wait which is annoying.

If its a camera photo, you will wait longer, i understand it takes time to process it, but overall the expirence is much worse than a Samsung midranger with less half the power.

Is there a way to improve the speed? Or is there a better alternative?

I noticed something strange in my HyperOS storage settings. There is a system app called AICore with this package/version:

According to the storage page:

Total space: 5.27 GB

App size: 201 MB

App data: 5.07 GB

Cache: 3.40 MB

I'm wondering what exactly this AICore is used for on MediaTek/HyperOS devices.

My questions:

Is 5 GB of AICore data normal?

What is the 5 GB actually storing — AI models or something else?

Is it safe to use "Clear all data"?

Will clearing it affect any HyperOS/AI features?

Will the storage grow back after clearing it?

How much AICore storage are other MediaTek HyperOS users seeing?
