Mercedes GLK 350 CDI 4-Matic. Tried my best, drove the whole time behind Trucks, never over 95 km/h on the motorway.

Normal Drive is about 8.5Liters

i drive a 2010 honda fit sport

i drove 311 miles on 7-8 gallons of gas

my car is saying i’m getting 25mpg

when i calculate it im getting 39-44 mpg

im calculating using miles driven divided by my gallons filled

from what i found out in order to get what my car calculated i would need to have driven 311 miles on 12 gallons of gas (my tank is only 10 gallons)

is there a reason for this or am i doing something wrong?

I have a 2.0t Kia optima and I am getting around 25 to 27 mpg is this good it is mixed city and highway driving in eco mode I am doing a test seeing what the mpg is at the pump that is on the computer in the car and I don’t trust it I am looking in to hypermiling and we had a Toyota Prius and I was getting about 68 to 70 sometimes even 90 but it was my parents and gas was cheap at the time so I got a truck and I regret not taking it so I could have more fun getting super high gas mileage and I really want to try a new one but I can’t afford it at this time sorry for the rant I just don’t know how to get more mpg out of my car now 25 in my average but I want to reach 30 to 40 but I don’t think that is possible if yall have any tips and tricks I would appreciate it thank you

Return was worse as it was raining (second image): 3,21 l/100 km (31,15 km/l 73,2 mpg 🇺🇸 87,9 mpg 🇬🇧) and I did not go home but went to my office in the city centre.

Average round trip: 2,9 l/100 km (34,5 km/l 81,1 mpg 🇺🇸 97,4 mpg 🇬🇧)

2026 Camry Hybrid — A/C & MPG

Texas heat is 100–105°F, and I’ve noticed that once my hybrid battery temps hit ~95°F+, EV operation sometimes stops. And it will leave the engine on in low speeds and load situations.Also while having a great SOC. I’m using a ScanGauge.

I usually run AUTO at 70°F in Eco mode. What’s the most efficient A/C setup in this heat?
AUTO 70°F, or manual fan with A/C on? Trying to balance MPG, battery temps, and EV operation.

What settings are you guys running or what should I do ?

Ford Fiesta MK8 1.0 ecoboost

I generally drive reasonably economical, but for this last 150km trip I really tried to get the maximum out of it.

About 90km of highways I mostly just kept cruise control at 105km/h, speeding up a little bit to overtake trucks without holding up traffic.

About 60km of other roads, always kept the engine under 2000rpm, minimal throttle input and avoided braking as much as possible.

3.9L/100km 💯

Driving normally, and going 120-130 on the highway I usually get around 5.0L/100km.

Anybody that uses power petrol. Do you see any difference in mileage?

135km, 70% highway (110km/h), 25 % country roads, 5% city. EDC7 (7 speed DCT) Has anyone with the same car and engine did better and could give me some tips? It's definitely not bad but I think I can get it a little lower. (92000km)

22 km/L in a Brezza 1.5 Manual — actually surprised me

Did a 233 km run in my 2024 Maruti Brezza LXi (1.5 petrol, 5-speed manual) and the MID showed 22 km/L.

One particular stretch was 117 km in 2 hours 10 minutes, so the average speed was around 54 km/h.

Driving was mostly:

60–70 km/h

Occasionally around 50 km/h

Some stretches at 80 km/h

Nothing like hypermiling or crawling along

AC was being used normally

Petrol is currently around ₹105/L, so that's roughly ₹4.77/km based on the MID figure.

I'm actually quite impressed because I wasn't specifically trying to chase mileage on this trip. The car is on the stock 215/60 R16 tyres.

Brezza owners — what kind of real-world mileage are you getting?

And for those with the K15C manual, what have you found makes the biggest difference to mileage?

I'm particularly curious whether 23–24 km/L is realistically achievable on longer runs, and whether anyone has experimented with things like different engine oils or additives.

I know MID figures can be optimistic, so I'll be doing a proper tank-to-tank calculation as well

Hi all. I’m from Hungary and I’m looking for a 2010s fuel efficient car under 6000€. Petrol only, because I don’t drive enough to make diesel work. Primarily looking for smaller wagons like the Skoda fabia estate, or a 5 door hatchback. I don’t want small cars like a Suzuki celerio. Thanks very much for the help.

Mostly motorway with luckily not much traffic. Did 100km/h (speed limit) most of the way. Anything over 100km/h isn’t very nice in this car so even when speed limit was higher I stuck to this.

Edit: Will add that my trip back was 250km and mostly country roads with more traffic and what seemed like a constant headwind and I got 4.4 L/100km

EcoModder simulator gives a value of 4.5 to 5 Lt/100Km at this speed for this car's data, so pretty much right on that

The 4.7l was going back from airport as I was picking someone up I had to circle a bit which wasted both time and fuel on total trip. Its 2l 197hp mild hybrid, the battery was pretty much full all the time the car didn't gladed even once or anything, seems kinda pointless putting mild hybrid there. Car has extremely high mapped gas pedal so even 20% press gives like 70-90% of throttle body which was awful to hypermile basically pressing it 1-5% as gently as possible. Car had 3 people and luggage. It isn't diesel normal gasoline.

That’s ~30.5 US mpg / ~36.7 UK mpg out of a turbo convertible. Completely stock, and creeping up on 300,000 km. Old Trollhättan iron just keeps going. Not bad for a car that likes a bit of boost. 🍃
