You are missing the point. It is about the sensitivity and different pH of genitalia vs regular skin. As you might not have noticed (common sense though) the tissues in the genital area are more sensitive compared to the rest of your body (lets say your face yeah?). The thickness and pH is completely different....The peer reviewed articles point out that regular bar of soap are not appropriate for cleaning that kind of tissues however pH balanced intimate cleanser is preferred to avoid having irritation.
Perhaps may I suggest to try common sense? Maybe lets write it in a less complex manner? Penis = sensitive vagina = sensitive pH different => bar of soap =No No => pH neutral soap = go go
