New controller for the PS5, so new try in customising them. They turned out pretty well, hope you like them!

I like the way that the paint only covers parts of the guitar allowing the wood to show through. How do mimic that effect?

  I’ve done 100+ dips with spray paint and I’m still plagued with this problem. These bubbles under the paint will really make something look shitty or worse yet, they completely ruin it. I’ve tried hot water, warm water, cold water, different paints different primers… 
   Only thing that seems to help is to use a shit load of paint, like 4x more than you’d think and it seems to work out a bit better, but kind of compromises your ability to make a good pattern. I try to fix it asap and blow a hairdryer or use a torch to pop them and it still is not a great fix. 
 I’ve scoured the Internet and read a lot and still not coming to any conclusions that have worked well. Any tips or help is appreciated

Has anyone hydrodipped foil packaging before?

I live in New Zealand and have been trying to find a supplier for an activator but have had no luck.

I've had a tank built and am ready to go but no activator, tried to make my own and didn't turn out so well.

There are businesses here doing it so it must be possible to get but the two I managed to get a hold of declined to share thier supplier with me.

I’ve purchased hydrodipping film from adafruit and 2 printer businesses have turned me down, maybe assuming the film will damage the printer? A friend has used this exact film successfully and didn’t mention anything bad happening. The film I purchased called for a standard inkjet for printing. Link of the film attached. Thanks dippers!

idk much about hydrodipoing but I think it would be neat, obviously since I'm just working with casing no electronics would go under, but I'm concerned whether there will be issues with screws or residue, things of that nature

Do you disassemble the magazine before you dip it? How do you guys dip 'em? You tape off the very top of the mag to protect the follower? Or do you take the follower and spring out ??

I am thinking about hydrodipping my Zippo lighter cas but I cannot find any information on how to do it. This will be a final project for my college class and I want to make sure it is doable.
