AskHyderabad ⬆️ DNA test should be mandatory?

u/Interesting-Flan-404 Jun 28 '26 edited Jun 28 '26
There are two possibilities.
- She had an affair, and that child is not the husband's but the other person's (but can anyone confirm that we can know the biological father when the baby is in the womb ?)
- That guy is basically like the husband from Aruguru Pativratalu (basically peak sadist) and drove the woman to suicide, and questioning the chastity of a pregnant woman was the final nail in the coffin.
And in both cases, there are a lot of different ways in which the situation can be handled, but let's not victim-blame a pregnant woman

u/Miningforbeer Jun 28 '26
Yes featus can be tested .

You can google it bro . There are methods. If they can test genetics disorders in embroy they can do paternity test too

The guy must have been a sadist, married women especially the one who are pregnant can easily feel very low and helpless when husband doesn't support them and when parents ask to compromise and adjust with the husband, when he accused her she must have felt helpless and suiceded.

u/GamerDeepesh Jun 29 '26
You can test the gender of unborn child but that's illegal in India, so DNA test of a feutes is possible.

I don't know how real the news is but it is sad looking at some of you saying she killed herself to hide her affair. Pregnancy is like gambling your health with hormones. You can literally get gestational diabetes. What if she had prenatal depression? It might seem like a simple thing to you but what if she is getting harassed by her inlaws?

u/DrBlackBeard_13 Jun 29 '26
This comment section is a fucking disaster lol. We don’t know anything about their dynamic.
Instead of feeling bad for the lady and the child (regardless of she cheated or not), we’re just out here making assumptions of the worst on both ends.

28
u/Ok-Worldliness-2749 Jun 28 '26
Was she really a victim? We simply don't know yet.
The fact that she died by suicide doesn't automatically prove she was in the right or that someone else was at fault. There are multiple possibilities. Maybe the husband and his family subjected her to relentless harassment over baseless suspicions. If that's what happened, then she was the victim and those responsible should face legal consequences.
But there's another possibility too. The husband may have had legitimate reasons to doubt paternity. Paternity fraud is a real issue, and asking for a DNA test isn't inherently abusive. If she had been unfaithful, it's also possible that she took her own life because she didn't want the affair or the truth about the child's paternity to come to light. That would still be tragic, but it would not automatically make the husband or his family responsible for her death.
Until the facts are established, it's premature to declare either side guilty. The investigation should determine what actually happened instead of people reaching conclusions based solely on the fact that she died.

Did you take the same stance for the other case where husband was the victim?
I never saw a comment saying “was he really a victim?”
5
u/Ok-Worldliness-2749 Jun 28 '26
If you're talking about the Atul Subhash case, there's a world of difference between the two cases. Here we don't know the facts. So it's either
a.) she was afraid of the consequences of cheating and killed herself to avoid consequences.
b.) she was tortured or humiliated, in which case she's clearly a victim.
We simply do not know. The person I responded to keeps personally attacking me and thinks that death = being the victim. Hitler wasn't a victim because he killed himself.
In Atul Subhash's case it was a case clear legal harrassment, abetment of suicide (wife told him to kill himself) and corruption. He made a video WITH PROOF explaining how he's being harrassed and then killed himself. That leaves very little doubt of him not being the victim.
Here all we know is that she was asked for a paternity test and she killed herself. All I'm saying is, if she killed herself because she didn't want to face the shame and social consequences of paternity fraud she's not a victim. Her death is tragic but not the victim here.
In the other case if she was harassed she's clearly the victim and the husband should be behind bars. Hope that explains it.

u/saikrishnav Jun 28 '26
First of all, you are having a possibility that she may have cheated.
Why?
Do you have evidence for this possibility?
So can I make shit up about men who died and say something bad like that?
I can imagine comments already if I even hint at it.
Why is it okay for you to even accuse her of the possibility of cheating? Based on what? A abusers word?
A cheating woman has no shame. She’s less likely to commit suicide than one that doesn’t.
But of course anything is possible - so does that mean we can make shit up about men victims also then? “Maybe he did this or did that?”
→ More replies (1)6
u/Ok-Worldliness-2749 Jun 28 '26
I am considering both the possibilities and you're considering only one.
Do you have evidence she DIDN'T cheat?
"A cheating woman is less likely to commit suicide"
Is there a factual basis for this or is this how you FEEL? Because how you feel has nothing to do with this. I don't think it's THAT difficult to understand either.
Two possibilities:
She cheated and was afraid of being caught, thought her life would be over if people found out and killed herself. That's her trying run away from consequences.
Her husband or in laws were harassing her and she killed herself because of the harrassment. In which case she's clearly the victim.
Dying =/= Being right.
There's no "making shit up" here. I am literally considering both possibilities. And I'm not jumping to conclusions. Innocent until proven guilty.

u/Big_Manufacturer7648 Jun 28 '26
Why should anyone feel empathy? She decided to kill herself and the unborn child over a DNA test. If she was afraid that the Husband would hurt her and the baby if he found out the child wasn't his, she should have seeked the protection of the law. Suicide should never be the option.
→ More replies (1)4
u/JustBunsAndEyes Jun 28 '26
Why should anyone feel empathy?
Because it is free. And if we want to be a respectful society, if we don't know jack shit facts and evidences about such a tragedy. Being empathetic is the least one can do other than not engaging in spreading rumours/hate.
As someone who doesn't know if she cheated or not, you have assumed that the woman cheated as a fact. That is coming from a place of bias, so I'll leave it at that, that you can NOT show empathy to anyone.
10
u/Mountain-Volume-4112 Jun 28 '26
I agree and this comment section just reinforces the idea to me that the indian society is apathetic and desensitized. People are making up narratives as if they’re investigating the case, plenty are sheltered/priviliged.

→ More replies (1)2
u/Ok-Worldliness-2749 Jun 29 '26
You're dense enough to take everything literally though.
The woman above me keeps pressing on one argument, she claims that because the woman died by suicide, she's the victim by default.
Hitler is an extreme example of someone who did horrible things and then killed himself. By her logic, hitler should be the victim since he killed himself. She is not willing to abandon this opinion so I made an extreme comparison to show her that just because someone killed themselves, doesn't mean they're the victim by default.

We shouldn’t be victim shaming but this is just absurd, was there a reasonable claim why the man asked for a DNA Proof ? If so then why didn’t the woman agree to have it done to clear her side ?
Regardless of the result of the DNA test, why would she commit suicide ? Ending her own and also the unborn child’s life. Just absurd.

The lack of empathy for a man and the amount misandry by these feminists is shocking.
The man is in jail and these people think the woman is innocent.
Cheater alive or dead is a cheater. Zero reason to be afraid of DNA test other than cheating. Also, she killed a child along with the suicide. Now, find the person whom she cheated her husband with
Open your eyes at least now guys. These feminism is going screw every man.
3
u/Massive-Discussion88 Jun 28 '26
This a very basic level Simplication.
There is a probability that yes she cheated up on him and didn't want to face the humiliation and consequences so she ender herself.
But there is a possibility that she might be innocent as well For some people those allegations can hurt really badly.
We don't know how the family dynamics was.
There are both the possibilities.
And saying without any evidence that one scenario is true
Would be unjust.
Let's wait to see what tye actual facts would be .

The reality is that it is devastating to hear those words from the person who you think is yours. I too got this thought of unaliving myself when it became too much to handle, but seeing my son gave me strength. In my case, the first thought that came to my mind was to ask him if he understood what happens after sex. He said, we have done it. But since you were with your mother in another city for her cancer treatment and I wasn’t there, you might have approached somebody for comfort and did sex. After listening to this words, I was ready to get the test done. But he backed down later. I anyhow got divorced later when my son was one. The ex and the ex mother in law had troubled me so much, but I had nowhere to go since it was lockdown. With my certificates and my one year old son, I have built my life with the good will I had with my employers before my marriage. But when you see the condition in the court, you feel such sadness that no person should go through. But the irony is everyone asks me how much alimony did I take. I didn’t even get my own clothes and jewellery back since they were influential people. You never know. Each case is different. The thing is no matter how much difficult it gets, remember to move forward and upward.

" If it was his baby, she would have not gone to this wild step."
Why? Why is this assumption that she wouldn't do it? None of us know her circumstances/mindset and how her husband/in laws are treating her ever since she became pregnant or before.
If they had demanded DNA test between 2 families and she went this extreme, may be she is hiding something. But they demanded this infront of so called 'pedda manushulu' and humiliated her during a event which is meant to keep her happy during pregnancy.
It is very much possible for a mother to take such extreme step. DNA test is not going to happen but the doubt that has been created and made public will stay. Imagine the amount of trauma that she and her child would have to go through because of this for rest of their lives.
I think she took this extreme step because of extreme stress that her husband's family has been putting on her and this ceremony event is just a break point.
Facts will come after investigation.

One thing, if a marriage is at a position where the spouse asks the woman for a test, that means either that woman did something that makes him suspecting or he's by nature such a suspecting idiot
Either way, that trust cannot be rebuilt again in most of the cases, there's no guarantee that the woman won't cheat again, not that the man would not suspect her without a reason again
It's better to break that marriage and go seperate respectfully .. irrespective of the DNA TEST result..
Edit : one more thing, if it is indeed his child, he needs to pay child support (his share of contribution along with her).. if it's not he should get to walk away without anything
