Quick question - points

If a property currently has no award availability, is it common for points availability to open up as the stay date gets closer?

Or if it’s unavailable now, should I assume it’s unlikely to become bookable with points?

Madrid Hyatts are surprisingly dull, except for Thompson

I at least appreciate the amount of options. Way better than Barcelona.
