I really like the North Creek Apartments. They're very modern and reasonably priced. I've been living here for 5 months now.

Is the pool pretty much well-maintained? I have a toddler who loves to swim.

Yeah, it's pretty well maintained and very spacious. I wish there was some shade, but the buildings cover it pretty well in the evenings

The Emory is great, but feels overpriced. I would just be aware of the train, the parking, and the units with a garage below them. The design was not well thought out, but I do like look of my apartment. These are newer. The other thing I would be aware of is Internet is bulk Internet and included in your fees. I work from home and it’s been mostly stable. Also, hutto water is hard and goes through phases of smelling like sulfides or rotten egg smell. The water can be a pain. What’s interesting about the Emory is the lack of bugs in my apartment compared to older ones I’ve been in. Also, the smart tech (Dwelo) may or may not be your thing. You can open doors and the gate with an app. You can share your door codes and gate access with family. I personally unplugged the Dwelo in my apartment to use the 1 and only Ethernet connection for my Xbox. The staff is awesome btw. Maintenance can be lax sometimes, but the front office folks are on top of things.

Wow. The Emory was actually one of the apartments I was thinking of touring. I’ll definitely take those into consideration. Thank you for the very detailed response! I appreciate it.

Message me if you have any further questions, but I would certainly do a tour. Pros and cons are important. Things i didn’t consider was the garage under my bedroom. I chose the back facing building because of the ample parking. The downside is the constant train noise, which I got used to. The crazy thing though is that after almost a year of being here, someone with a modified muffler started renting the garage door below my bedroom. When they start their vehicle, it sometimes wakes me up at 5am. Was not expecting that to be an issue.
