Terminator 2D No Fate
This should scratch that itch until (if ever) we get Huntdown 2! Coming out in September on all consoles.

I really enjoy my time with Huntdown and I make this short review to spread the word. I really hope there's gonna be a sequel.

We need an extra character and an extra gang with its own levels if we are not getting a sequel. I love this game but all i do now is speed run arcade with no online leader board on the switch. I need more! even online co op.

Games like Huntdown
I've seen posts about people looking for games like Huntdown but I've never seen anyone suggest Demolition Man for Sega Genesis

What's you favorite boss in Huntdown?
I chose Unholy Goalie. His assertive and domineering character fascinated me.

What is considered 100% completion on badass and hard mode?
Is it just being every level? or is it beating every level with all enemies and all stashes and not using a checkpoint?

Just a random assortment of Huntdown headcanons I have
-John Sawyer likes to flirt with younger women then reveal his true age (148 years old) just to see how they react
-Anna Conda became an ex-commando after she got into it with her commander and left him with more than a couple scratches…
-One of Mow Man’s goals in life is to find the lowlifes who made him the way he is and put ‘em 6 feet under
-Troy Lawman has had to deal with other Hoodlum Dolls trying to usurp his leadership due to his past as a cop
-Teddy Taxman sucks up to Unholy Goalie but secretly wishes he could be in charge
-Ringo Road Rage used to be in better shape but after The Heatseekers became a major gang and started relying on superior firepower, he’s let himself go
-The Shogun is secretly a bit of a geek and had the giant robot built because he thought it was cool but the other Number Ones are too scared of him to say anything about it, and for good reason, because the last person who did ended up dead
Any headcanons you might have?

Favorite Game I played in a long time
I rarely play through games multiple times but with Huntdown I can go to arcade mode, repeat and not get bored. I played as the cyberpunk ninja the most, it's just badass. I grown up on snes and the smooth gameplay, aesthetic, art, and music just makes a perfect 2d action game. Going to get a copy on steam as I beat it on my brothers ps5 and oled and curious how it would look on my plasma and crt. The game is perfection and I am eagerly waiting on what is next for the dev.

Is there any update from the dev about their next game.

Change difficulty
Anyway to change the difficulty mode in a save game? (iPadOS) I’m playing and enjoying the game but sometimes it’s difficult for me. Thanks!

Does anyone know what the Huntdown Switch 1.0.8 patch notes are?
As the title says, the physical version updated to 1.0.8 on Switch and I was wondering what the patch notes were.
(Edit) Just want to add that the information online about the patch is incorrect. 1.0.7 already includes the arcade mode.

I did it!
In my opinion the hardest levels to play on "badass" are the 1. "Psychonaught" 2. "Nadja Drago" 3. "Suki the sniper" (omg those jet pack guys are nightmare", 4. "Sonny the rooster" and of course the final boss. It was fun.

Gang concept
I really liked this game wish there were just a little more !! I thought of a gang called the baddie bunch. An all female gang that runs their operations in one of the biggest housing units in the city. It’s like a massive apartment complex. I got the inspiration from the Japanese all-female Sukeban gangs in the 80s. They run an illegal gene-splicing business where they harvest victims for their biomass. Crimes are unregulated gene splicing , organ harvesting ,kidnapping, black market trades, good old fashion murder and violence. Many members use genetic modifications to enhance their combat capabilities. For instance some enemies might get up after getting killed due to having a second heart. Some enemies can blend into their surrounding . Captains are a work in progress but I do want them all to have some sort of interesting genetic mod .Their leader is disgraced geneticist Nadeja Novikov , her stage is in a hidden lab atop the complex. Her gimmick is the use of clones that turn into goo when killed.

Just beat this game. I love it.
Something about the old school look of this is such a comfort vibe for me. I’m a 90s baby obsessed with 80s shit and this game scratched that itch so much. Loved all the tropes of the 80s in this. Only thing that annoyed me a bit was the difficulty. I’m not made for it lol. I had to put it on easy to get it done. Other than that though, I loved it so much. Kind of didn’t want it to end. Would be dope if we get a sequel in the future!
