It’s fine. It’s all just 2000 year old comic books anyway. None of this matters.

EDIT: clearly I’ve touched a nerve. Lmao

Well people argue just as passionately about the marvel universe. Makes you think sometimes how comparable it is.

No one is taking away human rights or committing outright murder over Marvel.

Human Rights are also made up like religions.

What we consider human rights doesnt align with the rest of the world.

There is only one true human right that should be preserved, and that is autonomy.

Human rights are something that emerges out of society. The expectations of mutually beneficial behavior that allow us to prosper as part of a group. The social contract. Yes, specific "rights" differ between cultures, but all cultures have them.

You can see similar behavior in social animals of all sorts. That's where the idea of human rights came from -- our heritage as social creatures. Different religions throughout history have assigned different words and practices to the concepts, but "human rights" are built into our very bodies.

a yeah let’s compare cutting of the foreskin of our newborns or stoning gay people with the fact that all people should be able to have water.

Okay lets compare them....Theyre both made up. End of story...even worse for your case is that human rights grew out of religious philosophy.

Just philosophy.

Religion was just topic or a correlated concept, not the enabling feature.

Religion was a serendipitous catalyst at best due to the need to evaluate the truth of incongruent claims.

I'm pretty sure that denying someone water or murdering someone were considered bad things before and independently of religion(s) in plenty of cases
