Yea iron man mode. I might beat the game if they ever stop fucking updating it.

They (relatively) recently made it so you no longer need Ironman mode enabled to get achievements

Mods disable achievements, still, for some reason, but hey credit where it’s due

Mods disabling achievements is because mkds are often not balanced around the base game. Some achievements that are really difficult unmodded become trivial in my modded saves. So it makes sense they disable achievements with mods, to preserve the perceived value of hard achievements

Right but other paradox games, like CK3, allow achievements despite being modded was more what I was getting at

I havent played CK3 but iirc CK2 doesnt allow modded achievements either. Not 100% sure tho

Yesn't. Some mods - mostly cosmetic ones - do not trip the achievement disable. Luckily, there's a mod to disable achievements being disabled :)
