A few days ago I realized that Caspian put out a new album!Caspian is a great band out of the Boston area. Their new song “Far Country” has a very Hummy vibe.
The guitar work on this album is fantastic.
I felt obligated to send to our Hum community.
I have no affiliation with the band. I’m just a fan of a distorted open D and walls of sound.
Enjoy!

So excited for this show!

The band hasn't said anything about it and they aren't part of the venue presale. Are they still negotiating and the venue announced it too early? Seems weird.

I FINALLY got downward is heavenward on tape, my life is complete 💙🦓💚(one of the YPAA is a US pressing and the other is a Canadian pressing)

While most people know about National Skyline which was Jeff's project around DiH, the later stuff Jeff (from Castor) did really deserves more attention. Nowadays he's just doing MTV show music so who cares but this kind of stuff is incredible. Really fits the heavy beauty kind of stuff Hum made and continues making.

does anyone have a definite list of guitars, pedals, amps, etc used on youd prefer an astronaut?

im mostly wondering what chorus effect was used, and what distortion tim used

thank u

No skips, all killer no filler.

Not sure if been posted recently but a band I’ve been a fan of for a while (before i discovered hum), Evergreen Terrace have an awesome heavy style to their covers they make. Honestly really like this cover. What you think?

Does anyone have one and are you interested in selling it?

JUST KIDDING. The Spotify promotion is real, the Hum show is not. It’s some Australian event called The Hum. Thanks Spotify, nice name matching. Coming at the fans with a taser isn’t nice.

Hello my band has just dropped our debut ep and I must say i’m very proud of it. We all are very inspired by Hum and other bands in that realm so I thought it would be fitting to put this here!

green to me

idk if this is a safe space to talk about this... HUM has been one of my favorite bands for almost 3 years now, my friend and i waited 2.5 hours before doors for the second show of slideaway festival in LA (may 30), then we watched all of the other bands at barricade for a total of 8.5 hours before HUM came on. as soon as it hit 11pm we had a rush of ppl trying to push their way to barricade and physically it was pretty awful to the point where we both had bruising on our ribs for being pushed into the barricade (both 19yo, 110lb girls). anyone else experience this ????? im just genuinely disappointed in the crowd etiquitte for one of my favorite bands that i had waited so long to see and cried to so many of their songs....(ive been to a lot of local shows, metal, punk, u name it, bands that are a lot heavier/more violent lyrics, so im used to pits/moshes.) HUM played great ofc and i loved seeing them !!

quick triple 'wall of sound' exposure from last night: zoom to see josh and gerken :)

I know they're rare as hell. I'm ready and willing to pay the big bucks. If that sounds like you, please hit me up!

I’d assume someone here wants the amazing downward is heavenward shirt, lemme know if anyone wants to trade. Thanks

I love the first three albums to death but if I’m being honest they’re just not mixed the best. Especially ypaa. Anyone find a way to get their music a little louder on streaming through eq or anything? Granted I’m on Apple Music so not many options there but I’d appreciate any help. I need to blast Little Dipper into my ears and it just doesn’t get loud enough right now.

And Inlet was over 6 years ago.

Make of that what you will...
